Thankfully, Russia doesn't give a crap about using torrent (yet). Our government occasionally shuts down trackers, but that's pretty much it. So far you're okay with using torrent if you manage to find a good tracker. I'm not sure how long it'll last though. Our government doesn't have a particularly good track record when it comes to laws concerning internet use.

This confuses me: I thought the only way to use NordVPN is with the NordVPN app. And in the video Teeaboo is also using the NordVPN app, but he still sets up the proxy there anyways. So do I need to set up a proxy or not?

I know it's been 3 years, but better safe than sorry. If you're in a country where you need a VPN, you want it active _both_ when downloading stuff, but *especially* while seeding | uploading. It's the latter that's illegal in most places so be carful.

But today i go to 9anime(point)to i don't really see ads there (with ad block and vpn), quality is way better than kissanime and the seasonals are up faster than on the torrent sites. Though i didn't know a good torrent site for animes until now, i didn't knew about nyaa, if i wanted anime downloaded with good quality i always used animekaizoku.

A bit late response, but ehh. Being from the poor country probably means your government have better thing to do than punishing you for downloading some anime. So, as long as you stay away from torrenting _really illegal_ things you should be fine. As for TOR browser, it will do nothing in that case, since it doesn't route traffic of other programs like torrent-client through TOR. Not out of the box at least.
its 2020 now and i have to say this is a great way to do it for me i have the same mind set anime is impossible to buy in my country and online its always sold out sometimes i miss a sale as i log into e stores so i torrent from this one site but its super slow cant only download two episodes at the same time witch sucks cos i can watch 4 or 5 episodes by the time they are done it took so long and down loading anime like bleach or sword art online is so long for me bleach took 6 months to download even tho i bought the cd case i want to preserve it and use the hard drive instead so long story short thanks man im going to use this site it seems great

Megalinks on reddit used to be a thing. And it’s way simpler than using Torrent. Shame the reddit got suspended. But you can still get older anime
