I started watching for just for the cabin restoration, but it turns out, I watch for everything! The banter is second to none, Max is absolutely adorable, the machinery always has its own story to tell and watching the cabin change is very satisfying. I really enjoy the long videos too. Life in my house stops until I’ve finished watching!
I love that you don't do the house flipping style of video where you don't show the actual work in it, just the drama and suspense. Your videos put a lot more into it, and I've been following ever since your first video! You're doing great.
The windows and doors are a huge step to making the place liveable again. One thing to consider: there should be a drip cap over the windows and doors. It tucks under the siding and over the top of the trim to deflect water.
My favorite part about all these videos is how your storytelling style (visuals, edits, music) has really developed more and more with each video. I also love that we're getting to see more of your personality and sense of humor. Thanks as always for all your hard work, both on the cabin and on the videos!
I really appreciate that. It’s definitely takes some getting used to, being on camera. You wouldn’t think it’s hard but go out and talk to a camera, it’s kinda strange at first. Also, the editing is a huge learning curve so thank you and thank you, i appreciate the feedback
This is exactly why I love this channel and others like it: I want to see the process. If I were only interested in the result, I'd look through real estate listings.
Your frustration with batteries is something I just dealt with and I feel it. Also bumping into a friend's car purposely and then spending hours fixing what broke is exactly how it would've gone with me. A fun story to tell later and we can hope you get something from the videos to offset any costs there. Super relatable content, just a bunch of buddies building stuff.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, I’m sure a lot of people will complain about crashing into the truck. I appreciate that you see the humor in it. Also the truck is junk, it’s going to get crushed.
@@99ProjectsI wouldn't be concerned, you clearly know the cost of repair vs the value it provides and sometimes it's not worth it! Screw it, have some fun. The editing gives me a laugh. Ever think of setting up a "Buy Me A Coffee" link? I'm sure plenty of us would be happy to fuel these videos.
You remind me of my father in-law when he was younger. A jack of all trades and he loves to “ collect things” and knew how to fix anything or at least try and fix it lol. Keep up the great videos.
dude…the work u started months ago to restore this piece of history has my entire ounce of respect to you. i learn so much the basics how to fix a house from bottoms up. thank you for this educational series of videos…am a new fan!
really enjoy all your posts. i have noticed other you tubers after they get so many followers they are treating them less important. your doing a great job. always waiting for your next post

Man, that mini excavator sure comes in handy. A very good investment, there. It must be exciting to be this far in the project and closer to enjoying your cabin. Best of luck to you and thanks for the videos
What part of NY ? I was born in Tonawanda. But the family moved south to Nashville Tn in 1964. Mom couldn’t take the cold any longer. She was smart. ❤ loving on the work of art you are creating. And Max, too.
You remind me so much of a friend that I had when I was in the Marine corps and never in my life have I wanted to be somewhere to help someone as badly as I wish I was there to help you with this project
i’ve watching these as they were recommended to me, been watching with my 4 month old son and i’ve never seen him so fascinated. excited to do this stuff with him lol
So much pleasure is achieved when putting all that hard work knowing you are working on something that you own and will bring so much joy when finished.
these videos are always a treat to watch, i enjoy seeing all the power tools and trucks used and also i genuinely love how a lot of it is repurposed or restored tools, i really hope i can have the pirvledge to build my own home one day and have something i can be proud of and make it live up to the expectations i want, itd be great to make something worthwhile for me and my future generations
Totally enjoyed watching your video with your sense of humor and all the nitty-gritty of measuring and making sure things fit. Great progress with electrical and windows. Looking forward to next video!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. First I thought you and the mini were going to fall in the Trench. Max sure liked it down there! I felt your frustration with the batteries and agree whole-heartedly. Things just aren't built to last anymore. Dunkin in the bucket? Hilarious! I giggled when you were doing the trees. Too funny 😂 I think you LIKE hitting your friends truck! LOL Great video as usual! Keep it up!
Thank you for taking extra care around the Robin's nest. Such beautiful blue eggs! I hope that you put a bird feeder out when you finish your project. The house is coming along awesomely! Great job guys!
Man… watching you glue your pipe. My husband usually does sewer hook ups or water lines. He has SO many shirts with purple glue on them! You’re doing an awesome job.
Love the way you talk to Max, he deserves it❤ the windows looks so good, the decision overhang the sides turned out perfect. I'm glad to hear you're going to keep the siding dark the contrast is definitely very sharp looking❤
Fell off from watching for a bit, buit I'm glad to be back and now I can BINGE whats up from this vid forward! The cabin build/fix popped back into my mind.
This is becoming one of my favorite youtubes. Couple buddies building and fixin stuff. Just think you guys will look back on all this one day when your old and grey drinkin a couple cold ones. Good stories will be told.
I have never built a thing in my life, beyond Legos and cheap MDF college furniture (stop laughing). But I must say that I absolutely love watching the big machinery moving around in fast motion. It's like they come to life. And they are so skillfully driven and manoeuvered. Impressive. Keep it up!
The cabin has come a long way. It's looking fantastic! You're doing a great job. And man, the windows did change the look a lot, and we like it!! Looking forward to the next update. Until then, enjoy what you're doing and see ya next time.
Rain diverter flashing above your exterior window trim, door trim and roof facia keeps the water from creeping behind the woodwork and slowly but surely transforming it to rot. Like the rotting boards you pulled out of the roof soffits.
When you started the Cherry-picker, "Runs like it's new!" Had me crying😂😂 Also, I appreciate that you get things inspected and openly talk about that in your content. I've seen too many DIY that don't get their stuff inspected let alone talk about it.
Again the house is looking very good redone,I like when Max was in the hole with the pipes he tickled me,and the part when u was digging the ground u gave me a scare it look like u wanted to fall front wise in the machine glade u didn't that was nice u fixed ur friends truck when u bumped it u and ur friend work very hard nice.💙💙🐕👍✌️
I'm impressed and in love with your concrete and field stone on your basement wall. I will suggest you clear cut more trees away from your house in order to protect the cabin from a Forrest fire.
can we also appreciate the filming angles and how they add to the overall storytelling? it takes a lot of time! wide shot, first person view...
I appreciate that, most people will never know what goes into making a video

I love this comment. It all kinda has its own story to tell and ya gotta watch the entirety of all the videos to keep up. Thanks for hanging out
R u going to make a garden sure is rich dirt?

Thank you I appreciate that
You need to put a groove under the window sill about an inch back to keep water from backing up.
Came for the Abandoned Cabin rebuild and stayed for everything. I love Max
Thank you, max is a great dog
The windows and doors are a huge step to making the place liveable again.
One thing to consider: there should be a drip cap over the windows and doors. It tucks under the siding and over the top of the trim to deflect water.
Yep I gotta do that. Thanks for reminding me

I'm binging the series and totally agree! This one was leveled up compared to the last few videos and the truck taps kill me every time 😂😂
Came here for cabin restoration, stayed for the good vibes and Max's little tail nub floof.

Keep up the great videos.
Thank you, collect things is a nice way to put it lol
She's coming back to life!
The windows and doors really made a big impact on the cabin, looking good!
OMG the Robin eggs!!!
i was worried when he said he's going to be careful qvq
That right-angled cordless drill is a fantastically handy looking piece of kit.
That thing was awesome

Huge upgrades indeed! Thanks for sharing. Pity the roof installation has happened off camera 😐

Yay,electric!! 💡The windows look so nice. 🐦🕊The birds and I thank you for being considerate of the nests.😇🏡It will be a fine place.

😊Max is so ❤handsome🦋💞
I’ve never seen blue eggs but it turns out the American Robin lays them. Beautiful!
I love how you include little side quests alongside doing the cabin lol thats awesome :) keep it up!
Man, that mini excavator sure comes in handy. A very good investment, there. It must be exciting to be this far in the project and closer to enjoying your cabin. Best of luck to you and thanks for the videos
This cabin really looks clean and solid right now. The world needs more upstate NY people.

❤ loving on the work of art you are creating. And Max, too.
Finger lakes region. I drive by that place almost daily n seen a lot of progress
The windows sure changed the look of the cabin. Looking really good!
I really like how they turned out
They look like shit. So cheap and crappy.
Makes my day every time a new vid comes on. I was never taught or learned any of this stuff (sadly), so it's a blast to see you go at it.
Just loving this series! You guys are so industrious and pretty easy going. Must say as well, that boy Max just loves you!
This is an absolute hoot….. you kids are so much fun. Now 80, but would love to spend a day or two in your world….. great UA-cam
