You are right; I happened to visit Sydney on Oct 20 to 24, 2023; I was in awe; I could not believe the intensity of mauve and purple which overwhelmed me; it covered all ground under the trees; awesome!

There is no explanation as to why they are keeping track of them
They're not native, hence invasive. They could not be good for the local environment.
@@caioxalves they're exotic, not invasive. They can't survive without irriagation on a mediterranean climate
