Beautifully done, you two. Congratulations to both of you for the catch of your lives. I wish you many years of health and happiness... with a few big fish along the way. Ben, as you may recall, I'm a widower who lost my wife and fishing buddy to cancer 20 years ago. I want you to know that the happiest moments of my life were spent fishing with her. I want for you and your bride the same joy we shared while fishing. Remember that each day on the water together is a special day and a gift for each of you, and you make memories that last a lifetime. Let her catch the biggest fish. It will pay off for you in the long run, trust me on that.😊 If she were alive today, we'd be trolling Garrison Reef for muskies.😢
I appreciate this so much, hopefully I see you at one of the shows again to thank you in person. Thank you for your well wishes, we always cherish our time on the water together no matter what. I am so sorry for your loss and losing what was such a strong piece of your life. Your comments always resonate with me and I appreciate you for always taking the time to watch and comment. Liv and I both wish you nothing but the best!
@benstonefishing It's wonderful to see a young fishing couple fall in love. A tradition my wife and I had was to pick 1 fishing lure for each of us and hang it on the Christmas tree for good luck the next season. Maybe you two can do the same? Oliva, Christmas shopping for Ben will be easy for you. Buy him muskie lures and gear. I got lures every year. 🙂
@benstonefishing it started out with 1 lure each on the Christmas tree and over the years grew into having put up a second tree decorated with every ornament on the tree being fishing related. We called that the fish tree. It was smaller than the traditional Christmas tree we also put up. After she died, I was going through the house and found lures that she bought for me and set aside as future gifts, and she never had the chance to give them to me at Christmas. Those hit hard. I hope Oliva buys you many lures in the coming years.
To be able to connect and share your life passion with her is what marriage and life is all about. So many parallels to draw with fishing. Congratulations to you both.
