Having an advantage for being 4th place in Battle Stage reminds me of how in Track Cycling sprint races, there's an advantage to being in second because you experience less aerodynamic drag when you cycle directly behind the other cyclist. The beginning of those races are interesting because the first lap you'll often see the riders sandbagging trying to force the other rider to take the lead. It looks kinda silly because sometimes you see the riders balancing on their bikes, standing almost completely still. With enough time, I can see Battle Stage strategies being stupid optimized where all the players in a lobby intentionally tanking their score so that they can come from behind at the right moment.
I've been watching your FC videos for *years* and you've been such an incredible resource for me to learn how to get better scores across all of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. It doesn't surprise me that you won this tournament at all! You are the GoaT... er, the Moose!

I will say this. Watching Jason’s stream, I had wanted him to win. But even with that, I know that the plastic guitar community is close knit. While plastic guitar can get highly competitive, we all respect each other and give credit where it is due. Well done on this win, moose. Here’s to hoping that overdrive issues get fixed. While watching Jason’s stream, someone pointed out that the reason one of the competitors didn’t win is because they had to try three times for the overdrive activation on tilt controls. There is a lot of stuff that epic has to fix, but events like this are what bring awareness to issues with the game. Once again, congratulations on the win. You deserve it.
When future tournaments are held (not if) Epic needs to take some notes from the community and do it on even ground based on score alone. Battle stage at least in its current state plays too much like a party game to have major stakes tied to it Still happy something like this has happened in the first place though

9:10 is the reason why I hate battle stage, I know most of the paths and can get good scores, but I always get screwed over by some random who overdrives at the wrong time causing me to fall behind, nonetheless it's still cool seeing battle stage used in such a competitive way.

The only thing that was officially broadcast was the 4 minute recap video, but they provided us with all the raw gameplay capture to make content on it as we see fit. I know Jason has edited together everyone's matches, I think he planned on uploading to UA-cam at some point
@aWiseMoose I saw 1.2x multiplier when holding whammy button in main stage. For example: Without whammy: 30 points With whammy: 36 points It doesn't affect the multiplier itself on the bottom center note track. I tried it on Main Stage.
