If you are disconnected from Xbox Live (xbox 360) when playing DLC content, it will not kick you out unless you are the registered owner and/or your console is the Licensed Transfer console which the DLC belongs to. If not, you will get warnings every 1 minute, for a total of 10-minutes before the game kicks you out. Just looked at the video ending and Guitar Hero itself is unique in that it will force you to re-menu if a you are disconnected.
