His mentality/reaction to this situation makes me think he takes steroids intentionally. Self-centred.
My prediction is he was smoking weed and he was under the influence of a drug. He thought at that instant after the crash, “ I’m high as a kite, I have possession of a bowl of weed, I’m entirely at fault with this crash, and my career & reputation is at jeopardy. I have to run away or else I will be in trouble for much worse.” No person doesn’t run when they are innocent, he ran knowing incriminated for much a worse crime.
