"when you work hard enough, your dreams chase you" I want to believe that. I really wish I could. Maybe one day I will
Work harder
I am as good at watching MMA as Jon Jones is at fighting MMA lol. I'm the goat of watching MMA.
This goes to show how far this sport has come from once it started. Amazing.
Damn this quote is from before Conor was ever around or Ronda rousey
Jones is the best MMA fighter. Love watching him fight and finish his fights.
Damn man. I remember watching this episode more than a decade ago and becoming an instant Jon Jones fan. He seemed so genuine and humble. I remember waking up in the morning (live in Europe) and searching the internet to see the results. I was so happy he won.
Fast forward ten years. Turns out the guy is a complete sociopath and narcissist.
I still tune in every time he fights and I still believe in him as a fighter. Lost my faith in him as a person though..
240p from UFC?
Nice
lmfaoooo
@@nyteowl8069 Bullshit, it was 720-480p.
We had 1080 even in 2007
@@nyteowl8069 So was that comment you just replied to *ROFL*
His legs are skinny when compared to other parts of his body, but when compared to other legs out there, like Anderson Silvas legs, you'll realize that they really aren't as skinny as they seem.
He’s got power in those chicken legs
I think Jon going back and watching this special would do him a world of good.
Yes, he's now a major success.
Yes, he's gotten all the sponsors to take notice and get a LOT of money.
Yes, he's established himself as the greatest LHW ever, and in the conversation for GOAT.
But he's lost his way as a person. He's on the verge of being Rocky Balboa in Rocky 3, where IF he tumbles from the mountain top, he'll be shattered as a person, because what he is now isn't the real him. He needs to get back to his roots as a human, and that begins with holding himself responsible for the message he originally had before winning the belt.
I hope he can do it in light of this recent shit. He's beyond talented, and has the right charisma to make everyone take notice. He just needs to take himself a little less serious, and remember he's human like the rest of us.
I wouldnt say he changed more like he got changed because of all the legends who gave him crap and the crap he got from some of the other fans when he became the champion just like weidman he might changed it doesnt look that way now though not yet
yeeeaahhh..about that..Jones done fucked up
well except at the end Rocky didn’t shatter, he picked himself up again and regained the heavyweight title
Here we are.
I think he needs.to rewatch this!
I'll be there, in that position..One day..
Dont say big words man.Just keep hardworking. Its for your good.
I'll see you there man, maybe will even fight one day :')
***** Remember this nickname: The leopard. That is name that will be the wall of you two the wall cant be broken. So you better start training hard.
I'll remember, just make sure you use those fast legs to run away leopard :P
***** No no my coach and the people at my gym gave that name because i have stong legs, i'm aggresive and because of my fast hands
What a good trainer, no sensei bullshit. He is basically like a good friend and just tries to explain it as good and simple as possible in a calm way.
he went hard for his kid! my idol jon jones
THERE'S SILVA. THEN THERE'S JON. THEN THERE'S FEDOR.
3 BEST TO DO IT.
KXNG P Yeah...hhahaha wrong buddy..all of them drug cheats...GSP is the best ever
Beating everyone who was on juice. It was an even playing field.
No jon, then, silva, gsp
People are extremely naive, they all take something- case closed.
Seeing him with his dog reminds me so much of I am Legend.
I m starting to feel that Jones is just a good guy who’s punches in the head and pressure made crazy
Incredible video. I wish it were longer.
10 years later jon is still as domiant as ever....
He's head trainer is doing amazing job
Very motivating a lot of his advice can be applied to all walks of life
Dam its crazy to see how far this guy has come and to see what he's become after all his success
he is the best fighter for me
whenever i see jon jones' arms.. i look at my legs..and i realize how tremendous this guy's reach is.. effin 84 inches..
CM*
love the production of the video
That was awesome. UFC please post more stuff like this.
MISS JONES
there's nothing wrong with having butterflies, as long as you can get those butterflies to fly in formation!
🦋✈️💪🏾
I've been a Rua fan since the early 2000s but I also loved Jones' unorthodox style of fighting as soon as I saw him the cage... my two favorite fighters fighting, this is high emotions for me lol
i was really surprised how he DOMINATED the fight with shogun...
He needs to move up a weight class that dont impress me.Cain is one if not the smallest heavyweight in his class so basically everyone he defeated was bigger than him, thats a real badass
the heavyweight division doesn't impress me plus Jones isn't gunna add 40lbs and lose his light heavyweight title to be equivalent to Velasquez that's just stupid, he's naturally the size he is and shouldn't change that to fight people bigger than him
NICK DIAZ this is what you should do/should have done... make some $ without fighting and please the people who like you!
certainly inspires me, i hope to have my first mma fight this year
where he is from is 35 minutes away from me and here in western new york does not have a lot of athletes happy someone is finally noticed from here
Wow, Jons girlfriend was not pretty :O
Yes John, God gives a flying fuck about MMA. In the 2014 people still believe that God go them an opportunity. Sad
Learn to type.
In 2014 people still believe that God gave them an opportunity. Sad
Learn to be more tolerant.
Or Type correctly.
No capital needed for 'T' in type.
Greg Laurence Maybe you take your own advice, and learn to be tolerant of others' beliefs. Almost 90% of the world's population believes in God.
love the production
Train hard enough and your dream will come true , Jon jones is the living proof of that!
He ' convinced' me (ofcourse not personal) to continue my own career and atm I'm fighting @ RFC waiting my chance to get into UFC... Don't give up, give it all you got and you will come there!
key words. 3 YEARS...... Title fight. That shit just doesn't happen. He beat up pretty much Dwarves compared to him. With only 3 years, if Gus was the champ at the time, Jones would never have been champion because he cant handle people his OWN size. We all seen it, and Deep down we all know it
Stephan bonner was the same size as jones and he destroyed him and at the weigh in rampage was almost the same size as him
Stop bitching, it's like that in every sport. It's about being an imposing physical force to gain an advantage in ANY sport. Basketball, guys with great size and strength prevail (e.g. Shaq, LeBron etc.) It's that simple.
You really have to be dumb to say size matters here.
inspirational thx Bones!
Jon jones its crazy how much inspiration you give me to not only train, but to excel in all aspects of my life.
A good and humble man. Much respect my man!
best vlog I have ever seen
I like how Greg Jackson said about giving him the colors and letting him do the painting as he recognizes what an artist Bones is with the 8-sided canvas.
awesome! enjoyed this...
truly inspirational
I take that back each to their own, and he is a humble dude. Have to acknowledge that much.
One of my biggest inspirations
It seems like so long ago when Jon Jones wasn't even in the UFC, but from the moment I saw him I knew there was potential for him to not only fight in the big leagues but to become a world champion. I'm honestly very nervous about this match but I know in my heart he has the skills to win, and now it's time to just make it happen. This is his moment, and I'll stand by Bones win or lose. Good luck, my man.
This man is such a positive influence in MMA
😅
i wasnt expecting to watch every minute of this 20 minute video... ended up watching every second of it
lovin the fact his dog comes to training with him
This dude displays greatness....
This is cool, UFC should have their fighters do more of these. It's like the 24/7 show for boxing fights.
i wish a had a coach like that!!!
It's amazing the progress this young fighter is showing every time he step in the cage, he's already champ and to think he only has three years doing this thing.
I watch this all the time brilliant jon
i love that he trains with diego sanchez, his heart and determination has to have rubbed off on Jones
Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are my two favorite fighters. I'm so inspired by both of them.
Mines too
Man. I really enjoyed this & I think it's awesome Jon let us into his personal life. I didn't know he had a kid...pretty little girl. This guy is something special - I feel like we have another great role model representing MMA other than GSP. I'm 24 & I'm not use to kids my age acting so maturely. He has a long journey ahead of him but I see Jon going very far.
Jon's Muay Thai coach is great
Best character in the video? Diego in the gym with his beaten face, listening to music. Man he's a beast.
theres quality in him as a fighter and person, he is going to be a legend
Not cocky, just confident and has the talent and skills to back up the confidence!!
This man inspired me , thank you jon
I cant wait for this fight
he is a great fighter my favorite figher from ufc and i also learned some moves from him watching his fights !!
This is sweet they should do this more often
Jon the Champion Bones Jones!!!!!! this video was truly from the heart and I hope You Stay focus&grounded&hungry for more challenges the ART OF WAR!!
G/Force!!!
UFC should start posting complete UFC events on youtube... starting with 128 ;-D
Good to see that even fighters have emotion @ 12:10
I can't understand how people dislike this guy
Albuquerque :) Johnny Bones Jones your a beast..I like the fact you train with some talented people..Have great trainers..Greg Jackson and Phil Nurse..The Same Coaches for GSP has and look how great he is..gonna go far Bones
hes the best, no doubt!i just love watching him.great great champion in every possible way!god bless you
Good to see hes humble.
One great man right here...
what a great guy and fighter.
@FfxCore good luck my friend all the best only u can achieve ur goals hope to see ya in the ufc
The guy is not only a truly accomplished martial artist. he's a gentleman to boot. There's no anger whatosoever in his voice. he's in control of every single cell in his body and this certainly helps him
I'm a big fan of this man.
This video is simply awsome and it is really inspiring.
The guy is all focus and hard work.
And the fact that he seems like a nice guy in his everyday life makes him a wonderful role model for young people.
By the way, I'm Brazilian. I'm a big fan of Shogun yet Jones victory was well-deserved. I was a little disappointed at Shogun for being too slow, but perhaps Jones' speed made him look that way.
To JBJ, there are many of us that respect and embrace your skills and what you have acheived in the sport of MMA. You have made yourself the type of fighter that is now on another level and your respective division can no longer hold you. As a society we like to build people up and then break them down. Please stop looking for everyone's approval. A true fan of MMA will recognise and acknowledge you and what you have achieved. Keep your head up young brother and remember you do not stand alone !
Anyone else watching this after Jones popped before UFC 200?
The talk talk talk from him and his brother is hilarious in retrospect!
Not saying he was using then but still funny to watch.
@AndrewTA31 you have picked a great role model, Mr. Jones is a credit to the arts. i have been a Martial Arts instructor for 18 years and if i may offer some advice, in my experience talent is not a blessing compared to a strong work ethic. my most talented students usually quit when the going gets tough, but my humble and hard working students push through and reach their goal because they had to work so hard for them. if it comes easy then so does quitting. stay strong and focused.
The force is strong in the young one.
its so crazy that such a peaceful man can be in such a pain inflicting sport
amazing fighter and man
That barber was nice with the flow.
seems like a very respectful guy
I thought fedor emelianenko was the only humble and down to earth good fighter in the world until I saw this video....this guy has a long way to go. talented, smart and humble
Gotta love Greg Jackson. He seems like he'd be the coolest guy ever to have training you.
What a man what a machine, jon jones deserves all the greatness that has come his way
Amazing story.
Come back Jon. Come back and run through all of them.
Jones....already a legend none is as talented as this guy for his age!
I will be shocked if there will ever be a fighter like him again.
The best part about Jon Jones is his spiritual relationship with the Father & in that has enabled him to be an awesome father to his kids. That my friend is as close to success has it gets!
Maqn its crazy to see how he was living in a four story apartment before being the youngest fighter to win the title. Lol ufc 251 now and however many years later and he's the greatest to ever step inside the octagon.
Well done champ! You really do deserve that belt!
Jon Jones is my hero. 23 and already on the top of the MMA world. I'm 17 and hope to be in his shoes one day. He is such a calm, spirtiual, and intellectual being. He's just a specimen.
No ones going to stop him. Still young and getting better and already the best in his weight class.
i would love to see this guy fight all the other fighters in their prime ..
Jon Jones, is the person that shows any one with much dedication you can become what you want.
