After each usage of the booth I always use my 1700 psi karcher pressure washer after removing the filters! Then I use my worx 40v nitro blower to remove the excess water and dry! You can also make a skeleton frame with electric conduit to negate the possible issue with deflation! Just like the framework on a auto canopy! That's what I did! I was a reconditioning shop owner for 40 yrs! Retired now! If it's permanent build one out of drywall and metal studing I did was awesome as good as an expensive real one! Forgot you can then hang led lighting from the conduit! If you want more lighting you can remove sections of the top and replace with clear plastic sheathing using a high quality adhesive similar to replacing the rear window on an mg or triumph only no stitching!
When I need an inflatable paint booth. I just call the party rental place. Rent a Barney bouncy house and let the painting begin as soon as the guy drops it off. The best part is the way I can bounce around the car while I am spraying the paint job out. 🤔🤣
I was thinking about buying one of these. I was concerned about the fire aspect. You would really stand no chance if that went up in flames especially when using solvent products are you concerned about that?
I wouldn't expect anything less than some trash in the paint in one of these, hell, you can still get trash in a $100,000.00 paint booth. But you can lessen the trash by making sure the booth and the car are as clean as you can possibly get them. These are definitely a cool concept and probably great for the occasional side job.
I’m a sign painter.. we have one of those fancy ass paint booths that you’re referring to. Unfortunately, it’s not a downdraft. It’s a back draft.. which probably doesn’t help the static. I keep my booth pretty damn clean. I spray my floors with a pretty good coat of static spray as well. Even after ALL OF THAT, I’ll still have issues with static. Especially when I’m painting acrylics. At first I thought it was just winter being the issue.. nahh. Summer is just as bad. I’ve rubbed down with freaking dryer sheets, have those anti static strips that you can put on the bottom of your shoes, and even spray matthews plasti prep cleaner spray (which does seem to help) before I go to paint. I also strain the paint like crazy, blow out my paint liner really well before adding it in the cup, and we have a fancy 3M gun setup that has the strainer in the lid. I say all of that to say, YES. You are correct. You can have everything spotless and still get shit in the paint. I’m curious to know how the static is in the inflatable paint booth though.. I thought about buying one of these for at home side jobs.
@southernladyish i just got one of these inflatable booths, but haven't used it yet, cuz I tore my quadriceps tendon. But I'd imagine it may get a bit staticy after a while of use. There are alchohol wipes that Devilbis makes that also help reduce the static in the surface of the metal, quite a bit. They also help to clean off any extra residue that may be leftover after your prep wash.
was thinking of getting one but $2k is too much I just need a clean area either some drop plastic suspended or a large paint tent or diy myself something out of cardboard, just something to have a semi clean area to separate the sanding work area from the finish area outside has a problem with wind and bugs and stuff blowing around
It does contain the smell within the booth, it greatly reduced the aroma in our studio/shop. Yes you can still smell the paint by the exhaust port outside.
BRILLIANT VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING THAT INFORMATION I HAD A GROLLIA PRO OF EBAY 13FT X 8FT COUPLE OF PROBLEMS ONLY CAME WITH ONE BLOWER UNIT AND THAT WAS TO BLOW IT UP THERE WAS OVER SPRAY ALL OVER SOMEBODY RECOMMENDED A EXTRACTOR FAN BUT APART FROM THAT IT WAS OK SO REALY 2 BLOWER UNITS EXTRACTOR FAN AND ELEPHANT TRUNK 🐘
My thoughts exactly about the paint mixing area being wasted space, and most manufacturers put them on even very small booths making it to where you have to buy a gigantic booth to be able to fit a car in the booth. Also with an inflatable booth you need to build a wooden frame inside so in case you have a deflation event it doesnt collapse into your cars new paint. I didnt have a garage to protect my car and thats a big reason why I am having to repaint my car, so I built a garage this past summer to protect my car when im finished painting it. What I ended up going with was a canvas frame style booth by a company called OTOBO, I bought the big version and the small version. I bought the small version to do take off parts in because the large one is VERY hard for one person to put up and take down and none of these temporary paint booths are meant to stay up for very long, the sun, the weather, wind etc will destroy them all. I would have liked to have went with the inflatable type but the cost for a size that would fit my car and allow me room to get around the car and paint it was too great. In the future I plan on installing a slab in my garage I built and turning that into my paint booth with modifications.
The electric motor failure when doing a project its NOT worth the risk there guy.... If your a person who has to buy an inflatable booth and can't afford or have access to a booth doesnt have money falling out of their asshole. Paint and materials are expensive and if your a guy like me who has a limited budget and has a regular job then any risk is not worth it. So Im gonna say a big NO to the inflatable paint booth.
And thats why u should use pvc or conduit to build a skeletal support inside of the booth. Very cheap and easy to build. Also u can add led lighting to it. So for the cost its definitely a good buy if ur someone who actually pays to rent a booth often imo.
You work at Eastwood, get the team together & design then build the Ultimate inflatable paint Booth & get them to pay for it!
That will cost 10 grand the way you want it

Sounds like a pretty full proof plan.
Thanks for doing this review. How about a link to the exhaust add-on?
If you look up the supplier on amazon it should like right to it.
Absolutely the best paint booth
Ive seen people cut the wall out for the mixing room. Make it 1 large booth

We sat down with Tom from M.E.S. Booths to discuss these exact issues: ua-cam.com/video/IoAVMneRPGE/v-deo.html

Exactly - if you paint a couple cars a year or less this will give you the space to get the job done.

We had the main fan trip the breaker after the final clear coat and the booth deflated, ruining the paint job 😢.
😮😮😮
Some have ties where you can tie it up to your ceiling incase of fan failure
one of the reasons I would never buy this.
I would have cried.. Good to know though for future reference

Yehhh 2k is too much
You can get smaller ones for less. A 15’x15’ is like $5-600
Does it let paint smell outside the booth? Is it noticeable when used indoors?
It does contain the smell within the booth, it greatly reduced the aroma in our studio/shop. Yes you can still smell the paint by the exhaust port outside.
@@eastwoodco thank you for getting back to me! I am considering getting one but didn’t want to bother my workshop neighbors !

I built my own temporary painting booth with pvc pipes and wrapped in plastic with filters and exhaust systems
How much did it cost u ?
Much smarter imo
@@irvingmarmolejo9713 $87
Can you tell us how much it costed you?
@southernladyish I don't remember exactly but less than a 100 bucks depending on how big or small you make
are they ok for outdoors like backyard?
Yes, you'll just want to make sure the weather is going to cooperate with your painting plans.
There are inflatable booths that stay inflated once they're inflated. So, the fan can go out with no worries.
what about ventilation
I was considering it, but the fact that the dirt's in there is mute. Sending the money $2,000 that's just wrong.
id just change filters after every single full car paint job

Why does the blower need to be on. Can't you inflate and plug it like a pool toy???
No, it's more like a bounce house then a pool toy. So the fan has to stay running.
i always wanted a fan that would hold up to an explosion oh wait 🤣🤣
I think I’d rather built a PVC/thick plastic sheeting paint booth.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Not enough ventilation, no good
Bounce house 🤣😂
So, it’s not that good!
Like we said in the video... 7/10
Check with the government to see if you're allowed. 🤣
