- In today's video, I'm gonna be talking about what I think are bad levels from good creators. When a creator makes a level that's pretty disappointing or just straight up a bad level.

Elite z rebirth gameplay was made by PLAY, and the deco was mostly airswipe, not krmal, which is obvious because the style mostly doesn't feel very krmalish

IMO The Yatagarasu doesn't need to have the same lore as the real Japanese inspiration, it's better for it to do its own thing than just recite the same story
Even though all the lore in the level is just some text and a couple of boss fights but yeah

3:24 you can’t really judge that level as a Krmal level because it’s like Phobos and Alive because it’s an old level that her decided to verify, not saying that the level is good, it just isn’t his level

Yeah, but I don’t think you should judge a creator by their shitposts. When KrmaL is actually putting effort into something, it’s usually good.
I have beaten Elite Z Rebirth and honestly it is a pretty fun level and I only felt real frustrated from a couple of luck based parts. Also the 2p dual ship feels SOOOO satisfying to do solo.

Is the “The Great Thief” part in The Yatagarasu from the fucking Yatagarasu in the Ace Attorney Investigations spinoff? If so, why?
It is, it took me a while to realize that when playing the level. The lines seemed so familiar.
Elite Z Rebirth was not made by Krmal, he only verified it. Airswipe did the decor.

I feel like this could deserve a sequel for good levels from bad creators, or creators who only have 1 good level.
To me, it seems that The Yatagarasu is the ultimate mashup level. It mashes up assets from several GD levels and has a remix of a Touhou song, a boss against a Pokemon, and takes a quote from Ace Attorney. Yes, the words from the beginning are a direct quote from the Ace Attorney Investigations games.
HyperSonic is the worst level from every creator who worked on it except maybe ZenthicAlpha.

@@fehizorosaclier1629 The reason I hate it so much is because it was awful to play from 0, so if you get really lucky and fluke from before Serponge’s part it won’t be the worst thing ever. Not good, just not horrible.

If you were curious where The Yatagarasu's player lasers were stolen from, it's from the ending of Blast Furnace by Samifying & Maboflo. (idk about Pan's mushrooms though)
I wholeheartedly agree with all of these... Except for The Yatagarasu. Sure, it's a collage of mostly stolen assets, but you know what? It's an _EXCELLENT_ collage of stolen assets. Plus, it's iconic as all hell. Out of the levels Manix ''stole'' the art from, do we remember _ANY_ of them at all? NO, with the sole exception of the titular *Yatagarasu.*
Also, considering how goddamn old the level is, it has aged like wine. Sure, that's thanks to big part to the people who designed those assets, but still, it just goes to show how well they are used in this level. That city chase part is still one of my all time favourite parts in any GD level, it looks glorious, ultra fast paced and the music goes exceptionally well with it.
One last thing I'll mention, I really don't understand your point about the Lore of The Yatagarasu. Yeah, it's not a one-to-one adaptation of Yatagarasu's mythological story, and so what? It takes this iconic three-legged crow and does its own unique stuff with it, I genuinely don't see a need for Manix to have copied the Japanese myth for the level to have a ''good story.''
Aside that one gripe, this is a great video still, I liked every other one of your points and the editing is great for such a small creator as well.

My example would be lotus flower, which was decorated by starkythesalad and looks so much worse than his previous level apex and all his more recent levels.

Lotus flower's deco is one of the best atmospheric deco i've ever seen it fits perfectly with the music.

Matilda the Machine looks super ass yea... it was one of the earliest 2.1 extremes so i cant be too harsh on it... thought actually playing the level... its pretty fun
Elite Z was also a collab. It’s on KrMaL’s account because he verified it.
I feel like fingerdash is the only level that executed the 2.1 blocks good.

I actually really like sonic wave rebirth, its just another unfortunate victim of the early 2.0 level effect
I know there are already a LOT of comments about elite Z and stuff but tbh no matter who’s level it is it still isn’t great.
Old impossible gameplay is cool but a lot of times it’s pretty ass. However what hurts nowadays is airswipe’s deco. Some parts of the level go hard even now but man some of the other parts and really his work in general aged so badly.
Also sonic wave rebirth did NOT age like milk….it aged like a corpse 💀

Matilda The Machine and The Yatagarasu are really bad, the other levels are good. Other levels that should be here are: Conical Depression by KrmaL, Slaughterhouse by Havok (The Insane Demon) and Stereo Madness by RobTop.

the yatagarasu is actually a groundbreaking level, and really a work of art. it's like "endtroducing" or "since i left you" but as a gd level. manix didn't just stole assets and called it a day, he put them together very carefully, just look how coherent this level is. this is what i call the art of sampling.

The gameplay is horrid and unplaytested, the block design in the first part has layering issues especially when the blocks in the first part go through each other. The yellow pads in the robot are very rng, and half the time I die in the ufo due to player offset, if you missclick, an invisible spike kills you, the part afterwards has the deco cut off. The kelp in the wave covers up the gp, and *t h e f i n a l c l i c k . . .*

SWR is old as fuck and apparently the verification was stolen by moosh (originally was supposed to be for mefewe but was given to LKwavs after a few years)
The reason matilda the machine is so bad is because its supposed to be a sequel/extension of two different series at the same time (for matilda 3 and jeyzors abandoned machine / machine series)

ok swr isn't *That* bad, ig it's pretty original back then. I do like that nine circle effect cuz it looks a lot more modern and Funnygame style. I like the effects too. And tho it's a bit repetitive I think it truly fits the style of both creators (back then). Tho I wasn't around in the community back then so :P
4:21 I have never EVER heard of this level before. When I look it up, I saw it was another person's old impossible level, redesigned mostly by someone else, so I don't think it's fair to consider this such a disgrace for krazy. The biggest role he played in this level was just a verifier.
5:20 I have almost never heard of this level ever. And apparently it's really old as well (4 years ago, Jeyzor peaked around 2-3 years ago, now I follow him mostly for yt content) So y did you even put this in the video?

OK I have some things to say about this video tho
First of all y did u feature some videos that isn't even really relevant, like some were very old, or copied from others, or even joke levels (i don't think jeyzor was dead serious when he made that level) . It just feels like you are trying to dig up dirt on popular creators. You don't expect to someday make it big and then have someone pull up your really old videos to criticize you either, do you?
Also it's completely fine for a creator's old level to be bad, you can't just expect them all to be gd creating prodigies. The fact that they dare experiment do help them to progress as a creator, to learn from their mistake and improve themselves, to perfect their skills.
And it's not like they weren't aware that their creations are bad, but they just wanted to share their what they've been trying to learn. I don't want to see people making something they are passionate about just to be straight up called ugly or bad.
(this point is not specifically directed at you but) Just a side note, this applies to new creators too. If you see anyone making a bad level, dont just lash out at them. it's very disheartening, especially if they put in a lot of effort on that. At least know how to mince your words. And if you can, tell them what they can do to improve their levels. They'd be very grateful, and you wouldn't have to witness what warcrimes they'd commit anymore. heck, who knows what they can create in the future. (like jeyzor, who would have thougt that he'd create such amazing levels at that time)
One last thing, I believe it's fine for even renowned creators today to put out joke levels every now and then. After all, not everyone is built like Knots, who churned out epic after epic levels (no hate btw, he's truly great, w longest epic streak ever) Imo creators should not be pressured to always 1 up themselves, or one day they might succumb to the pressure of expectations.

Ok, Where’s SL8O? First off that start is like it came out of a Krmal Level, Loads of weird parts, the start kills you, and that end is frame perfect and you better click twice because of a blind pink orb or you’ll die : D.

Btw if you’re gonna do levels that suck from popular creators it would be, one of the Plasma Pluse Levels, A long ass extreme demon, Endlevel’s well, promethean (straight fly hell) and allegiance (you could also say devil vortex but allegiance is more of a victim that got a huge nerf like some other levels. I also wanna add revenant but the song is too good for it that it’s somewhat iconic
