The song you asked about is "I Need U". It was their first song to win #1 at one of the Korean music shows in 2015. It's on their album, "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt. 1" The one before that Jin was singing is "Butterfly".
Yes. And because it was the song that brought them to the attention of a LOT of people, they had more interviews/performances & clips, the reason you have heard it a lot
There is a Run BTS episode where they karaoke and really shows off all the vocalists' different colours, even if you don't watch the entire episode, it would be great to see you react to the singing parts of that episode, On youtube, it's labeled Run BTS EP. 153
When I first found BTS, I remember being able to pick out V's voice so easily, but I sometimes though it was two vocals. I realized later that is was just him. I had my cousin, who was not ARMY at the time, listen as well. I told her his voice reminded me of a harmonic on a violin (we both played)... almost two tones at the same time.
@@susa5622That’s actually not true. He didn’t have lessons before debut but he certainly has had them since (not including the latest vocal lessons). Only last year, after that encore, did he decide to focus on the basics. It shows what the reactor said is true, his usual tone has changed, but he’s able to improve in so many other ways. More importantly, he’s preserving his vocal cords.
@@ag1445Yes but apparently both he and the producers wanted him to go for difficult high notes and vocal techniques and since they worked they didn't think abt going back to the basics and no one told Jimin to do so, so from what he said a new vocal coach explained to him everything and even with his rest in military his vocal cords will recover much better
@@AyaAyyoo With correct vocal techniques it is easier to hit and sustain difficult high notes. I doubt very much that no one explained he needed a firmer foundation because it was fairly obvious to any vocal coach that he was straining his vocal cords. It’s more likely that he knew it would change his tone that he has resisted for so long. Especially as fans continued to praise his unique tone. Just as JK deliberately refrained from further vocal lessons after training because it would change the vocal tone he was aiming for.
May a submit a recommendation? During BTS' pre-military time, Jimin went "back to basics" with his singing. His recent album Muse is filled with lovely songs. "Who" (has an acoustic version) and "Rebirth" (has a live version with Slow Dancing") are on repeat for me! His new approach to singing can be noticed. I believe all the members (we are waiting for Jin's) have released live versions of songs from their recent albums. I am not edit talented...so I am hoping for ARMY to create an updated OT7 acapella compilation. Nice to see you again!
The song at 9:35 is Eyes, Nose, Lips by Taeyang of Big Bang, which was a big song when BTS was newly debuted. There are a couple Bangtan Bombs of various members singing and lip synching it, usually quite deliberately emotionally overwrought- they were obsessed with it! You haven't lived until you see the rap line emote to this.
Jimin mentioned recently that he was told he was damaging his voice and is working on changing his technique. JK started so young and was incredibly shy, to the extent that they feared it would prevent him from debuting. He would not even sing in front of the other members. Eventually JK was selected as their lead singer because of his voice stability when they are dancing. He decided he had to practice, ie sing all the time to continue improving and not embarass the group. He worked endlessly signing, singing all the time…everywhere, even doing lots of English covers, working on the enunciation so he sings very well in English….much better than his speaking ability. JK also has excellent hearing, is said to have perfect pitch. Jimin was the last to join and only had months to learn the totally different style of dancing…KPop focuses on dancing first. He never sang before joining and struggled sometimes with off notes in concert in the first few year. There is video of him asking JK for help and he told Jimin their voices are so different…that Jimin needed to figure out what he needed. I have never heard how much voice lessons they got in first few years when their company was really struggling financially. JK was in middle school while Jimin and V just starting high school, while practicing dancing hours every day.
Excellent comment; I came to say many of the same things. Sam's comment about JK always being ready is spot-on; as you say, JK didn't think he'd progress the way he wanted to using only the time allotted for voice lessons, so he just started to sing all the time. And Jimin said he didn't initially get voice lessons, so he'd observe JK/V's lessons and then stay up overnight and try to duplicate what he'd heard. The other story I love is that Jimin was insecure about his skills, but one night when he and Yoongi were lying awake in their bunk beds (because of Namjoon's snoring :), Yoongi told Jimin the team really needed his vocals; Yoongi said he could hear the potential in Jimin's voice. Jimin said that really helped his confidence.
Actually none of them had singing experience. From everything I have heard about JK, I think his position is much more than stability. Not trying to argue.
Maybe we can find out how many times BTS has had a bird poop on them? 😂 Seriously though I'm convinced JK was born singing. He can do so much with his voice. They all can! They are all really all-rounders. Great singers, dancers, performers, and people. 😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
