Its because the mood of the song, they have producers and mixers and they decide what member will sound better doing certain part,is not because they don't like someone's voice
@@shadyuh exactly, he shined more than all the members whenever it came to nonbiased fans bc everyone wanted to know the "guy with the pink mic".... everyone loves his voice its just the company's favoritism
I am laughing here, as an older person who appreciate their music, you have to be the only person in the whole world that commented on Jin’s “lovely larynx.” It just seems so funny to me as an adult because we can be darn good and sure not one young girl has noticed that.
Hello from another "older person" who loves BTS inside and out! As Sam Scott-Thorne continues to explore BTS, he's going to realize that ARMY come in all ages, colors, cultures, and religions. I just hope his musical expertise extends to rap. He praised RM and J-Hope for their vocals during the Tiny Desk Concert, but he ignored my Sweet Meow-Meow Suga. 😿Well, at least we have the guys on WhatchaGot2Say to analyze rap from an expert POV. Not to take anything away from Sam - whom I've just gotten to know and love - but if he doesn't have a background in rap, WhatchaGot2Say can school you on the genius of Suga (and RM and Hobi too, of course!). 💜
I'm another older Army! I think there is a new name for Jin other than "Worldwide Hansome" ...."Lovely Larynx Jin". I have two Biases and Jin is one. Not because of his looks, but because he's an incredibly hard worker and a team player. He is a model example to our young people You can do anything if you put hard work into it. Jin couldn't dance or sing when he joined BTS. Now, look at him, an expert vocal coach who didn't know Jin's past is saying he has a "Lovely Larynx". If Jin was my son, I'd be crying with pride!
@@carlasakiestewa7796 Have you ever noticed that every single BTS member has at least three nicknames? 😉 Anyway, I really admire Jin's dedication too. I've come to appreciate his intentionally-over-the-top sense of humor, like *calling himself* "Worldwide Handsome" and blowing kisses to the camera. And that laugh! But my bias is Suga, and I'm worried that Sam might not understand what it takes to be a first-class rapper. Suga doesn't have a voice as sweet as Jin's, but he can *do* things with his voice and his delivery that not even Jungkook could attempt.
Jin got my attention when i 1st listen to BTS song. Even he got less lines during their early debut. He always got applause from Army & standing ovation. Listen to his song Awake. There is no bad songs in BTS songs. & i love listening something educational like this. Thanks
Saying I am in love with Jin’s vocals is an understatement. His voice truly is beautiful. Jungkook (main vocalist) “reacted” to Epiphany and said that Jin should be main vocalist. He hits some beautiful ad-libs in Dionysus and his amazing triple high note in Crystal Snow. He is a beautiful person with a beautiful voice, what’s not to love about our world wide handsome? 😌
Jin's voice makes you feel warm and safe💜 (Also, I don't know whether you read the lyrics or not after listening to a BTS song, but if you don't, you definitely should! Their lyrics are so beautiful🥰)
Jin has so much emotion in his voice. All of BTS' vocalist have very distinct colors to their voices but Jin's just touches me. When he sings, I feel it in my bones. The vibrato, the power...I just love it. And having seen them live twice, he's the most stable. He may has well have eaten the CDs.
Check out Jin's rap in BTS debut son No More Dream, released in 2013. BTS started out as a hip hop group. Note Suga later said Jin should be singing bc of his voice.
When he started in BTS he had no background in singing, he was actually studying to become an actor, so he had to learn how to sing and dance from scratch. He's also known for his big vocal range and his emotional and passionate voice!
I'm such a huge BTS fan, and thank you for doing this! Jin has come such a long way in a relatively short time. He deserves all the recognition he is at last beginning to receive. 💜 Jin gets quite shamelessly ribbed by the other guys in the vocal line about this performance - it's quite hilarious, and he takes it very well.
I dont know why but i'm impressed by how quickly you memorize the melody even though you listened to the thing once. Again. I dont know why that seems impressive . I cant do it though
I have relative pitch, so if I hear something once, It sticks in my head. My band members have a great time shouting random songs at me and testing if I start it in the right key acapella :)
Oh, I didn't know that was a thing. I mean I thought we all could do it? No? Like listening to a song for the first time and knowing where it's going, where the belts will be and stuff? I have 0 musical background/knowledge, I do sing and know all songs since I was 4-5 (yeah, I'm the one that sings everything that comes up in a road trip or the supermarket 😅). So that's called relative pitch? Also, my 7yo is learning piano and when he practices at home, if I heard the song before I know instantly the note he played wrong (there a simpler melodies and I learn them hearing them once). If I don't know the song, I still know something is wrong, but I don't know what or why (like the notes don't mix well or don't "make sense").
@@loredell bits of that yes and no. Relative pitch is being able to recognise and relay a pitch, so for example, if I said "sing bad romance" you'd start on the pitch of the original song (you'd also hear it right in your head if you're thinking about it). The guaging where key changes and big parts of songs are coming is more to do with instinct and recognising subtle changes in chord progression :)
Personally, I really like "Epiphany" and everytime I watch a live of it, it makes me wanna wave my phone with the lantern on in the middle of the concert, it's just so good. Thank you for reacting to this 💜💜💜
It’s amazing how no matter how many times I’ve listened and watched the epiphany live performance and how many different versions I’ve seen it, it still gives me chills. I got chills this time again. This is a timeless song. Years and years from now when an entirely new generation listen to this song, it’s still going to inspire people.
Epiphany is the definition and the purest self-love song out there, his vocals are so smooth and soft, it makes me really love him even more. Also, you look fine lol, the rain effects pays homage to the mv of the song, maybe you can check it out. The lyrics is really powerful and I'll never forget the day ARMYs sing "I'm the one I should love" in a full stadium.
Thank you so much for this. Epiphany is the crown jewel of the Love Yourself albums' solo song, always garnering the loudest fan-chants of his name, most enthusiastic sing-along & standing ovation afterwards from the audience. Yes, although he has had the least experience in singing prior to Debut, his voice has caught the attention of a Grammy Panelist who dubbed him the "Silver-voiced" Vocalist, and the judges of the KMA (Korean Music Awards), S. Korean Grammy counterpart, singled him out and praised his "emotional ardency" in singing "Epiphany," the only solo songs they mentioned from the LY albums. His background training as an Actor (a Film & Theater Uni major Grad) has obviously helped a lot when expressing his emotions in singing. His vocal range is among the widest, he sings the low register with V--you should listen to Dionysus where at the later parts he sings both the low & high notes at the same time, while also doing the high-note adlibs so amazingly that RM dubbed him "Rock Jin!" For the high notes, Jin is usually assigned to sing them with Jimin. He is their only countertenor, according to some vocal experts, who can hit the insanely high notes of the female range, like in their Japanese "Crystal Snow" song. Last but not least, he is also their only belter with the most stable voice in live performances, like Jungkook, their youngest member & Main Vocalist. What is even more amazing is the fact that Jin is actually the oldest of them all👍😊
Jimin isn't countertenor. Jin is good at conveying emotions through his singing which might very well be connected to his talent at acting. One thing i really find fascinating about that is apparently his vocal coach back in their trainee days got him to stop projecting his voice like an actor because he had difficulty singing due to that? that sounds a bit weird as projection is actually important and useful in singing and protecting your voice too.
The song Epiphany is also so incredibly meaningful! This song is the intro to their last album of the Love Yourself trilogy, in which they explore various kinds of love. But then comes Epiphany as the conclusion of these albums: "I'm the one I should love in this world Shining me, precious soul of mine I finally realized, so I love me Not so perfect, but so beautiful I'm the one I should love"
Seeing Jin Epiphany live was life changing for me and really made me love him. It has a really special place in my heart and I appreciate hearing your vocal breakdown of the song.
I feel like he’s one of the most reliable singers and doesn’t need any auto tune... For some reason, when I wake up to a BTS song in my head, it’s always his voice. He seems to project the spirit of the song and really reach out to us.
Jin’s voice is lovely indeed! He has such a great voice for someone who didn’t had experience in singing before joining BTS. as always, thanks for your awesome reaction ✨🇧🇷
You should check out the lyrics of this song! I got to watch Jin perform it live 3 times and cried every single time. The lyrics are so touching, encouraging us that we need to love ourselves despite our imperfections. Singing those words along with the thousands of Armys at the concert never failed to bring me to tears. Here is a translation of the chorus in case you’re interested: “I’m the one I should love in this world My shining self, this precious soul of mine I finally realized, so I love me Although I’m not perfect, I’m so beautiful I’m the one I should love” 🥺
Lovely to hear more Jin. His is my favourite voice though all of them are amazing - I think it's the intimacy he projects(as you've noted) in his voice that is so attractive. It's a voice that serves the message not itself -if that makes sense. Makes me want to sing again!
Jin is one of BTS voices that shine on it's own. He's so stable and always think he is one of the bases of many songs, just so well blended that sometimes gets almost lost.
the epiphany reaction was awesome! i hope you continue to listen to Jin's vocal especially compilations that show his insane vocals! and other vocal line vocals too.
I don't know how much you can appreciate The audience here but the entire song is sung by the crowd! Like from the GET GO! You should check out epiphany at wembley! Also the fancams are better than the official video because this has so much of bg music. Also Jin's vocal teacher always points him out as the one who stands out the most because he's just so amazing! Did you know he was going to become an actor, and he had a really tough time modulating his voice from actor's to a more singer's. Also the vocal line song The Truth Untold LIVE. I wish you'd react to Awake because that's where EVERYBODY began to notice Jin really. And that's where he proved he's such an amazing vocalist. But again, check on the LIVE VERSION only! Thank you so kuch for reacting! ❤️ King Seokjin, Crystal Voice, Silver Voice, Grammy Acclaimed Vocalist.
Idk why but I always felt that Jin has a very emotional/unique voice and (for me) that I watched a lot of vocal coaches analysis, Jin has the best technique and his voice is very good for ballads...🥺💜 like don’t tell me that u don’t feel emotional just by hearing abyss;) I really really want that bighit and the boys makes some more Japanese songs just because I can listen to Jin more....he’s a boss
Oh also about your comments about having more Jin in BTS songs, honestly it’s been a problem since debut, the boys all agree with who gets what parts so it’s never led to arguments etc,, but Jin’s vocal tone is my favourite among the boys, it’s very powerful and emotional, and big hit use it a lot more for their ballad songs such as their Japanese releases rather than their title tracks
really intersting, love hearing your professional insight and detailed explanatations! always absolutely loved Jin's voice and it's cool to see another perspective. thank you so much for doing this, I am really looking foward to seeing the others too! ^^ and I think it would be very cool if you covered the rappers too! Am curious to hear how much it correlates with vocal stuff since I don't have that much knowledge of it :3
Jungkook and Jin do a lot of the background vocals on tracks. I recommend some vocal line only songs too, where the rappers aren’t in them, like House of Cards, The Truth Untold, Dimple, and Zero O Clock. Other good vocal songs with the rappers too are Magic Shop and We are Bulletproof: the Eternal.
the feedback in which u mentioned that while hitting the higher notes he bends a little so that his vocal folds stretch naturally and that way it's easier to hit those notes, this was a new and rather rare comment i've heard from vocal coaches. i watch a few other vocal trainors reactions too, but it was interesting that u pointed that out. hehe we learn something new everyday! 😂😂 and thanks for the reaction, loved it💜💜
Yes, quite a few coaches have commented that he shouldn’t be bending but I’ve always thought there must be a reason why he does it the way he does. After all, he’s the one singing this night after night (when on tour)
When Jin first started performing with BTS he had zero vocal training. He was brought into the group as the "visual" because of his handsome appearance. He was actually studying acting at the time. He has worked very hard to develop his voice and his dancing skills. His vocal coach says that he is her "most improved" student and that at first all he could do was tell instead of singing. Now he is also involved with composing his music too. SHOWS YOU WHAT A VOCAL COACH AND HARRD WORK CAN DO.
yes... even jungkook once said jin should be the main vocalist if im not wrong... i cant wait to watch your reaction to the other member solo too... thank you for the reaction
I don't know if anyone has said this yet but all of the guys in BTS sing. The rappers don't sing as often but there are a few songs of them singing. J-Hope and RM sing more than Suga but he does in fact have one or two songs where he does vocal. The ones that come to my mind right away is Trivia: Seesaw which is a solo, or Otsukare which is a comedy with him and J-Hope! Great reaction, glad that you also agree to the more Jin! Give him more lines!! :3
I love your reaction. This is my favorite song of Jin and I'm so happy to see your smile every time you pause and gave your comments. I hope you can do a reaction of Jimin's Serendipity. Thank you for this.
Epiphany is not just a song. It's a masterpiece. A emotion. My healing song. I recommend you to check out the lyrics too. It's really beautiful. When I was suffering from depression this masterpiece is the thing that helped me to love myself. And Jin's vocals and high notes are totally different subject. He is a god gifted singer who has a unique ability to convey emotion through his vocals. Such a soothing and healing voice. Indeed the one and only silver vocalist. To be honest this is my favourite bts song. No song can replace this song ever. Best bts song ever for me...💕
THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING JIN 💜 He joined as a visual with no prior training in dancing or singing whatsoever and has improved a lot in both over the years especially as his confidence grew. Please please do more because you're interpretations are like spot on and I can actually understand what you're saying unlike some others who use more technical terms or whatever.
In future reactions, I recommend you listen to both the studio version (preferably a lyric video)and a live version of the song to make a comparison. I've seen other reactors do this and it really helps them and the audience to grasp the overall message and sentiments of the song, and how those connect to the vocal textures in your case. I would absolutely love it if you could do this, I'm really enjoying your current reactions as well😁.
There’s also a bang tan bomb video of Jin practicing Epiphany where he’s literally just using a karaoke microphone if you would like to see a video of him with absolutely no retouching!
This is one of my favorite BTS songs and Jin is my favorite, too. 💜 He really has a beautiful voice and he should get more lines in group songs. We need more of Jin!
Thanks for spotlighting our dear sweet Jin! On a side note, I’ve notice that most of the BTS members hold their mics the same way. I have a theory that they hold their finger and thumb on the top to make a space between their mouths and the mic. To keep their lips from brushing against the top of the mic, which can cause unwanted noise. Just a thought.
jin is so underrated and has a lot less lines in most of their song, but he really does shine in their Japanese songs where he has a lot more lines. That's why I love their Japanese songs

they are not the last in all the songs lol, there are songs whit Jin at second or third
@@taequilasilver7183 Um no. Jin has the least amount of vocals in like 99% of the songs
Its because the mood of the song, they have producers and mixers and they decide what member will sound better doing certain part,is not because they don't like someone's voice
@@xioo.s but his fans love his voice and he honestly fits all genres just like all the members so I don't understand why they do him and us like that.
@@shadyuh exactly, he shined more than all the members whenever it came to nonbiased fans bc everyone wanted to know the "guy with the pink mic".... everyone loves his voice its just the company's favoritism
Jin’s degree is in acting. Considering he has no background in music or singing, he is doing an excellent job.
I am laughing here, as an older person who appreciate their music, you have to be the only person in the whole world that
commented on Jin’s “lovely larynx.”
It just seems so funny to me as an adult because we can be darn good and sure not one young girl has noticed that.
It's a very fine larynx indeed :D
I’m an 18 y/o army and I too have noticed his “lovely larynx” 😂😌
Jin solo songs pierce people hearts.
I love Jin he is so Jincredible 😂😂
From day 1 Jin has been my bias, but thats not why I always wanted to hear more Jin. His voice is just my favorite.
Jin got my attention when i 1st listen to BTS song. Even he got less lines during their early debut. He always got applause from Army & standing ovation. Listen to his song Awake. There is no bad songs in BTS songs. & i love listening something educational like this. Thanks
I love awake so much too
I love all his song
someone hold my hand, I'm crying again and I listen to Epiphany all the fucking time
You should react to the video 'Jins voice suits every genre"
His voice his really adaptable, and this vid goes through synthrock to folk!
UP
I agree, the most versatile of all the voices!
Seeing this live and being able to sing along with Jin and fellow ARMY is a day I'll never forget.
You lucky duck
Jin's voice makes you feel warm and safe💜
(Also, I don't know whether you read the lyrics or not after listening to a BTS song, but if you don't, you definitely should!
Awake by bts jin
Check out Jin's rap in BTS debut son No More Dream, released in 2013. BTS started out as a hip hop group. Note Suga later said Jin should be singing bc of his voice.
Jin is unbelibubble 💜
Jin's Epiphany is my favorite
When he started in BTS he had no background in singing, he was actually studying to become an actor, so he had to learn how to sing and dance from scratch. He's also known for his big vocal range and his emotional and passionate voice!
Jin 💜
I'm such a huge BTS fan, and thank you for doing this! Jin has come such a long way in a relatively short time. He deserves all the recognition he is at last beginning to receive. 💜 Jin gets quite shamelessly ribbed by the other guys in the vocal line about this performance - it's quite hilarious, and he takes it very well.
Just in case you didn’t know. He gets ribbed by the members for the showmanship bits, not the singing 😉
Jin has a beautiful voice, he is so talented
Awww. You reacting to Seokjin's solo makes me want to watch your channel more! Thank you for appreciating Jin's voice! 💜
Epiphany's lyrics are beautiful and so touched by his
sincere voice, he makes you believe every word he sings.
His vocal range is among the widest, he sings the low register with V--you should listen to Dionysus where at the later parts he sings both the low & high notes at the same time, while also doing the high-note adlibs so amazingly that RM dubbed him "Rock Jin!"
For the high notes, Jin is usually assigned to sing them with Jimin.
Jin's voice is blessed. The way emotions flow through his voice is incredible.
The song Epiphany is also so incredibly meaningful! This song is the intro to their last album of the Love Yourself trilogy, in which they explore various kinds of love. But then comes Epiphany as the conclusion of these albums:
"I'm the one I should love in this world
Shining me, precious soul of mine
I finally realized, so I love me
Not so perfect, but so beautiful
I'm the one I should love"
Seeing Jin Epiphany live was life changing for me and really made me love him. It has a really special place in my heart and I appreciate hearing your vocal breakdown of the song.
I feel like he’s one of the most reliable singers and doesn’t need any auto tune... For some reason, when I wake up to a BTS song in my head, it’s always his voice. He seems to project the spirit of the song and really reach out to us.
He is a prince , my lovely Jin 🥺
Jin’s voice is lovely indeed! He has such a great voice for someone who didn’t had experience in singing before joining BTS. as always, thanks for your awesome reaction ✨🇧🇷
Jin's Awake Is my favourite but Epiphany Is Beautiful ❣️
You should check out the lyrics of this song! I got to watch Jin perform it live 3 times and cried every single time. The lyrics are so touching, encouraging us that we need to love ourselves despite our imperfections. Singing those words along with the thousands of Armys at the concert never failed to bring me to tears. Here is a translation of the chorus in case you’re interested:
“I’m the one I should love in this world
My shining self, this precious soul of mine
I finally realized, so I love me
Although I’m not perfect, I’m so beautiful
I’m the one I should love”
🥺
Jin's voice always try to get me. And it didn't fail even once. Btw, I really love your reactions. Keep safe!
Lovely to hear more Jin. His is my favourite voice though all of them are amazing - I think it's the intimacy he projects(as you've noted) in his voice that is so attractive. It's a voice that serves the message not itself -if that makes sense.
Makes me want to sing again!
JINs voice is heavenly beautiful just like his personality and visual.. he's a gift from heaven to heal millions of people💜
you should look into the lyrics of this masterpiece .it is such a great song.
Jin's voice is amazing, beautiful song, beautiful voice... Beautiful Jin! 😍😍😍
Jin is one of BTS voices that shine on it's own. He's so stable and always think he is one of the bases of many songs, just so well blended that sometimes gets almost lost.
Thank you for listening to JIN song.. Please react to his other songs, too. Moon, Abyss, Awake, Tonight...His voice is so beautiful~!
Up
Oh my gosh, I think Awake and Abyss are my favorite Jin songs!!
And also Crystal Snow, when he hit leJINdary notes there 😊💜
and TONIGHT
the epiphany reaction was awesome! i hope you continue to listen to Jin's vocal especially compilations that show his insane vocals! and other vocal line vocals too.
Jin is my bias...for his vocals more than his visuals. Both are top-notch!!
React to Jin's Awake its so beautiful
King Seokjin, Crystal Voice, Silver Voice, Grammy Acclaimed Vocalist.
No matter what..i love jin's voices......😍😍
really intersting, love hearing your professional insight and detailed explanatations! always absolutely loved Jin's voice and it's cool to see another perspective. thank you so much for doing this, I am really looking foward to seeing the others too!
He should sing more his voice is BEAUTIFUL 🤩
the feedback in which u mentioned that while hitting the higher notes he bends a little so that his vocal folds stretch naturally and that way it's easier to hit those notes, this was a new and rather rare comment i've heard from vocal coaches. i watch a few other vocal trainors reactions too, but it was interesting that u pointed that out. hehe we learn something new everyday! 😂😂 and thanks for the reaction, loved it💜💜
Yes, quite a few coaches have commented that he shouldn’t be bending but I’ve always thought there must be a reason why he does it the way he does. After all, he’s the one singing this night after night (when on tour)
I love Jin so much💖
He's my bias..
It's his accent ..He also says Lub instead of Love ...adorable
In Korean they say 'Pwee' and not 'V' when they speak about Kim Teahyon. The sound V doesn't exist in Korean:(...
Seokjin's vocals are beautiful
I don't know if anyone has said this yet but all of the guys in BTS sing. The rappers don't sing as often but there are a few songs of them singing. J-Hope and RM sing more than Suga but he does in fact have one or two songs where he does vocal. The ones that come to my mind right away is Trivia: Seesaw which is a solo, or Otsukare which is a comedy with him and J-Hope! Great reaction, glad that you also agree to the more Jin! Give him more lines!! :3
Welcome to Jin’s drama that is epiphany 😂
Best bts song ever for me...💕
He be highlighting live cause we all said LIVE! 😂😂😂
Your outro was lovely ☺️
Ps: Jin really shines in their Japanese songs! 🥳💟
Sam at 10:09-10:10 - "I want *more!*"
Jin at 10:11 - Challenge accepted!
I love this performance specifically of this song, I wish we could hear him more. He looks and sounds absolutely ethereal in this performance 💜💜
Yess that’s my jiiin ,love jin voice🌷💙
Yeah wait why does my mind says, JIN IS A HANDSOME PRINCE?or He's a Prince🤦♀️
Was just having the same thought!
@@sonablom maybe its because of the purple hair and ofc his HANDSOME FACE😏😅
Epiphany is such a beautiful song. The message is so important for everyone. I know its Jins song but Id love to hear Jimin sing this.
Yes please! I agree to have studio vers then live. I like it when they're compared where maybe in live, some areas are less airy etc.
Sam... seriously.. you are the very best at breaking down and explaining voices!
Yes we also would like to hear more Jin in BTS songs 😭
Beautiful reaction. Can't wait for the rest of members!
Cant wait for you to highlight Jimin. Serendipity is beautiful.
There’s also a bang tan bomb video of Jin practicing Epiphany where he’s literally just using a karaoke microphone if you would like to see a video of him with absolutely no retouching!
Why am I rewatching all BTS reactions lol. I love the ending songs he does.
jin also can rap when he scolding the other member too lmao
This is one of my favorite BTS songs and Jin is my favorite, too. 💜 He really has a beautiful voice and he should get more lines in group songs. We need more of Jin!
Thanks for spotlighting our dear sweet Jin! On a side note, I’ve notice that most of the BTS members hold their mics the same way. I have a theory that they hold their finger and thumb on the top to make a space between their mouths and the mic. To keep their lips from brushing against the top of the mic, which can cause unwanted noise. Just a thought.
That could be a reason yeah! I'd still be pulling my hair out if I was the sound tech though haha :)
jin is so underrated and has a lot less lines in most of their song, but he really does shine in their Japanese songs where he has a lot more lines. That's why I love their Japanese songs
