    I have had this machine for around two years and it does come in handy, including warming milk for cereal at breakfast time.

    Thankyou for your video on the Lavazza milk easy. I did a lot of research before I made my purchase yesterday, but what swayed me most was your video, I've tried it today with a capuccino with soya milk, it was amazing and worked just as you said it would, lovely and creamy and delicious. and fits in my small kitchen a treat.

    I had one of these for Christmas. Absolutely love it. I got it mainly for its recommendation of non dairy milks. I've tried 4 different oat milks so far and only one has foamed perfectly and that's Aldi's Oat Drink. Alpro and Oatly were the worst.

      Thanks for the feedback J Ben. What a terrific Christmas gift that was.
      Thank you for your oat milk feedback. Very helpful. To add to your list, we have now tried Alpro cashew and almond, and while tasty, they do not froth well. Our go to for froth/foam is Tesco Organic Soya Milk, which makes a thick, tasty foam every time which is perfect for cappuccinos and hot chocolates.

    I just ordered this, I have a nespresso machine (inissia), and always use to drink lattes just with the espresso and the milk. Hope this makes my morning coffees' quality much better! Thank you for the video

    Hi, found your video really useful, have ordered a Lavazza today ……can I ask where you bought the large lidded jar on the table, great idea for a Xmas table decoration

      Thank you for the comment and we hope you enjoy the Lavazza, Jane. We use it nearly every day.
      Regarding the jar, we purchased a set of them overseas nearly a decade ago. You can try google large, glass cookie jar and see what comes up in the UK. I've just had a quick look for you now, and there are some similar ones (but I haven't checked the sizes) on Wayfair: glass storage jar, urbn-living.
      Good luck and we hope you find something nice for Christmas.

    Hi - thanks for a great review. I like my milk to be almost extra hot. Any milk frothers or coffee makers I have tried previously do not warm the milk to the temperature I like. Do you think the Lavazza Milk Up would give me the hot milk I prefer? Thanks once again for a great video.

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the comment and question Philip. The quick response is no, it won’t make the milk that hot. It’s hot, but not boiling. I think the reason behind this is that milk has a tendency to boil over very quickly, so the milk frother manufacturers ensure this doesn’t happen by heating milk to being ‘hot’ not super hot. Hope that helps.

    What is the milk to foam ratio like in your opinion? I have a different one and it pretty much turns the entire milk into foam which is virtually unusable in coffee unless you just want a whole load of foam on your espresso shot, so I'm cautious of this

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  3 роки тому +2

      If you’re making a cappuccino using black coffee, we go full froth with less milk. The ratio is full froth so no milk and get you that luscious, thick creamy top. If you go for a latte, just heating the milk, the froth is only 5-10% (it’s minimal). Hope that answers your question.

    I just bought this thing yesterday after using tassimo & dolce gusto for hot chocolates. It came today and I've just made 3 hot chocolates (after 8, choc orange & milkybar) all of which blew the tassimo and DG out of the water quality wise and they actually work out cheaper.

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  2 роки тому +2

      That’s brilliant. Thanks for letting us know how it fared against competing products. We still use ours daily.

    • @ceasarsalad119

      @@MyHomeFarm basically the tassimo & DG hot chocolates are water and powder based and the cost is average 50p a drink. Drinks I made with this used real melted milkybar etc and worked out at 39p a cup while tasting 20x better.

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  2 роки тому +1

      Interesting strategy to use chocolate bars. We predominantly make coffee, lattes with a cappuccino foam, but tempted to try one of your hot chocolates now.

    • @ceasarsalad119

      @@MyHomeFarm I took the idea from the velvetiser using chocolate buttons. I also looked what others were doing with it. Hotel chocolate say only use their products but people ignored that advice and created some good products by lobbing things like milkybar etc into it. I figured this frother is just a cheap velvetiser. However, while I say chocolate works good you absolutely must blend it to a powder or the whisk gets misaligned and you have to empty the stupid thing and start again haha. I use a cheap £20 usb blender to powderize the milkybar (or whatever) and then slowly spoon it in. Tasting the results makes my want to take my tassimo to the tip. The drinks on that cost more and are watery in comparison.

    I have a lavassa frothed it doesn’t froth well the bottom paddle does not vibrate only the small round spring, the milk is barely worm. Any suggestions

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  2 роки тому +1

      The paddle does not vibrate - it holds the spring in place.
      The manual, if memory serves me correctly, is one beep/click for frothy milk, two beeps/clicks for hot milk. As a tip, use room temperature milk over cold milk from the fridge. Hope that helps.
