I was convinced at the time (aged 6) that the middle bloke of the second trio to join the stage was the then Spurs and Northern Ireland keeper Pat Jennings. My Dad tried to explain that a top Division One keeper wouldn't have to suppliment his income by tap dancing but I wouldn't have it. I still it's Pat doing a bit of moonlighting to this day. A brilliant yet simple sketch.
I love it when Eric starts fighting with one of dancers.... Ernie says "What you playing at" 😜 And Eric's comment of "He's the half the star" 😜. Only Eric and Ernie could pull this off successfully 😉😉😉
2:25 Morcambe pretends the guy behind him grabbed his arse Morcambe shoves guy in the shoulder Guy hits him back in the arm They grab each other Guy falls over from nothing xD
@@Callous_Cloki I highly doubt that, since according to documentaries Eric was ruthless in over-rehearsing, to the point where everything that "appears" spontaneous was usually done on purpose, in some sketches this included Ernie seeming to crack up and start laughing.
Since there's nothing worth watching on BBC this ( 2020 ) Christmas. Oh wait. There is one thing. Morecambe and Wise REPEATS. Stop paying the license fee. You can buy the complete series and get change.
Oh, beautiful! And the ending- classic, absolutely classic!
One of my favourite Eric and Ernie sketches. A simple iead but so well done.
See, comedians these days just don’t have these sorts of brilliant ideas. This really was a golden era for comedy

never fails , comedy gods
People say Ernie Wise didn’t contribute much to the double act, but he invented this routine and many others, choreographed by Ernest Maxin.
Who could not love Eric's rubber-legged tap dancing?
Just delightful ❤️

This video clip makes me want to tap dance!
He's half a star. Priceless.
Absolutely flawless.
Unparalleled in British comedy.
Eric, Ernie, and The Geraldine Yates Dancers are great tappers!
I loved these guys as a child RIPx Im rooting for Angela/Bobby Brazier for Strictly!xx
Morcambe sticking his glasses around the stage xD
My favouite bit too!
2:25
Morcambe pretends the guy behind him grabbed his arse
Morcambe shoves guy in the shoulder
Guy hits him back in the arm
They grab each other
Guy falls over from nothing xD
It was an accident, that he fell. He just lost his footing, it wasn't rehearsed. Which makes it even more hilarious D

Shas'OSwoll, The guy who falls over, looked a lot like "Jim Davidson"
man, dig those flares!
This was up there with their best dance routines
Just gold.
Probably, this can never be repeated
Eric and Ernie would have loved Strictly Come Dancing
They are great tappers! Nice tapping, Eric and Ernie!
all of their dance sketches were great because they actually were very good dancers
I don't know how the professional dancers kept a straight face!
Rating: 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The best!

Brilliant
These guys were so funny. Not Benny Hill, but talent of their own. a+
1 person attempted to tap dance ... then fell into a sink full of washing up.
I used to Morris Dance but kept sliding off the bonnet...
I tried morris dancing once.ended up scraping my knees on the gear stick and banged my head on the steering wheel!
Is that Richard Beckinsale in the line up?
Anyone know this song or one similar?
0:10 is My Blue Heaven
0:20 is Sweet Sue
1:04 is Sweet Georgia Brown
1:44 is My Blue Heaven again
This is funny
Brilliantly, staged, directed and choreographed...and most of all ...funny..
Doesn’t one of those dancers look like Noel Edmonds?
