Laurie has some definite insight & wisdom about FREEDOM ❤️
Charlie Rose, I have one word for you: listen.
I love laurie anderson. She sufficiently influenced my life!
Charlie had an off day this day. Too bad it had to be with someone like Laurie Anderson. Would be great if he could get her back on again. She's a great listen....
Dammit Charley let her answer!!!
Laurie Anderson was trying to tell something about her process. Charlie Rose was trying to tell her what that was. So annoying.
Charlie, please shut up and listen sometimes. Some of your guests might actually have something to say that you didn't ASSUME you already know. Let them talk. There's an entire abstract universe that doesn't fit neatly into your inane tiny frame leading questions. OR perhaps: "There are more things in heaven and earth, Charlie, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Do less, allow for more, and maybe a Rose will bloom (ha ha).
Shouldn't this have been titled--"Laurie Anderson Interrupted by Charlie Rose"?
The part about her trying to be free reminded me of a thought that passes through my mind when I am out with my dog and we come to a 'no trespassing' sign, that says, you are forbidden to cross this property, for any purpose. And I wonder, if aimless wondering a purpose? What could they do if they catch me and ask me why I am there, and I say, "For no particular purpose. I am just being, here."? That is probably when they would shoot me.
Will he ever shut up? He wouldn't let her answer ANY question actually!!
Volodioso Ada i think he was just having a bad day...:)
I had to finally just give up and turn this off. It's ridiculous how much he interrupted her
Damn Charlie Rose annoys the crap out of me, I'm surprised Laurie didn't snap on him for putting words in her mouth so many times.
***** yeah but the point is it's TV, people had tuned in for Laurie Anderson and to be honest when it comes to music and performance art, who wants to hear what Charlie Rose has to say? How can you understand what an artist thinks and is doing when you don't listen to them, just entertain your own ideas and challenge theirs even though the subject IS them? Interviews need to be someone asking an artist questions and then follow up questions from the artists' answers, otherwise they're not interviews.
