    We had to reshoot the ENTIRE video and take new step by step pictures. What's new? For this recipe, I reduced the amount of ingredients to fit into the Instant Pot correctly (no more than 2/3 full). I posted the updated recipe with brand new photographs on the blog. This is one of our first videos that we used TOP-DOWN shot. RECIPE --> bit.ly/PressureCookerOxtailSoup

    Mrs. JOC is the best cook on UA-cam. Not only that, she has the best foodtography. Artistic, calming, encouraging, what else... very clean, tidy, organized, simple, easy to follow... I love this channel.

    Thanks for posting this. It's definitely different from the typical oxtail soup in Hawaii. This is like a marriage between a beef stew and what I think of when I hear oxtail soup. Looks very good!

    Hello Nami. I tried this recipe for dinner yesterday but changed to stewed beef instead of oxtail as I didn't have much time. I also used a stove top pressure cooker. It was delicious and my family loves it. Thank you so much for sharing.

      I'm sure my family and I will enjoy this. We love oxtail, but I only know one way to cook it which is a Filipino dish called oxtail kare kare. Instead of a tomato base it is made with peanut butter. Sounds strange, but trust me it is so delicious. I cook it in a pressure cooker too. Aloha from Hawaii=) The Cho's

    For you shoot, can you stay at the monitor section a little longer or specify more on the setting? I’m new to instant pot and it’s hard to make sure if I have the right setting since the scene for it goes by so fast and I always have to rewind many times. Like the last part for the potatoes... just a suggestion since I’m new to instant pot and still a bit scared to use. Thanks!!

    Hi I made Oxtail soup it was great thanks for your recipe, it's not a few minutes job even in my pressure cooker. I put few beef bones in so i did 60 minutes then i did 15 minutes to cook potatoes but next time 10 minutes will be plenty as i feel they were a little over done. put it in a cold fridge the bring fat to the surface

    Yes very good i did enjoy, would you recommend quick or slow release of the pressure

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  6 років тому +1

      Either is fine - but with potato in it, I'd do quick release. But... I know some people are not comfortable doing quick release so in that case, natural release is okay. :)

    • @ConstantlyRepeatingMyself
      @ConstantlyRepeatingMyself 5 років тому

      With meat always do at least 20 min natural pressure release.

      Thank you for your "notification alert" setting! The sound of cooking? Should be matching. We watched so many times to check the edits. Feel dizzy with same music going on in my head. Let me know if I'm not seeing correctly.

      It could be because it's still downloading? I'm not sure why that's happening to you. Confirmed it's matching. :)

    Thank you for this recipe! I never thought of using oxtail in cooking - it's not really a thing to eat oxtail in Finland. This gave me inspiration to try it out! I was wondering, because I don't have a pressure cooker, if this can be also made in a slowcooker/regular stove pot? How long would the cooking take?

    • @justonecookbook
      @justonecookbook  8 років тому +1

      Oxtail is not very common in Japan too, and I never had it until I came to the US. This Oxtail Soup is actually Hong Kong Style Borscht. I do have the regular recipe, which is the original recipe for this pressure cooker version. www.justonecookbook.com/borscht-soup-hong-kong-style/

    I want the instant pot to cook without pre-cooking so this is a FAIL. Are ox tails so *** to cook ?!
