    Love this! Super fun to watch ☺️How was the poison oak? Last time I went (years ago) the trail was pretty much covered ion it.

      Minimal this time. I think the trail was cleared before it's opening a week before we went

    That's an awesome place full of memories for me… my GCE buddies I got the worse case of poison oak in our lives on that trail & I took my girlfriend (now wife of 6-months) on our first date hiking both ends of the Independence Trail before the fire destroyed the western portion... I even took her down into icy cold darkness of the historic miners tunnel.
    Looks like you didn't encounter the nude sunbathers that are usually found upstream along the rivers edges due to low temps 👍
