I think it's great! I'm a new Dasher, just got approved to dash on my dual motor ebike in San Francisco❤ Going to start this month soon. @@Moore.Driven
Today was the first time I shopped for some dumbbells at a sporting goods store. Great payout as well. If this is part of the change then I'm all for it!
@@Moore.Driven it was only 8.25, not 12 but still paid $20 including tip for 7 miles. I live and work North of Atlanta so maybe that's why base pay is less
@@012jebaited9I'm 1 months new but I don't think I've ever had a non restaurant order be $2 and they RARELY ever tip that I'd speculate it's not even coded to be done. /Death stares advanced auto/
I leave off alcohol delivery ( I've heard about to many people not being there with ID saying to leave it and BS . Im not getting a charge for under age people! ) I'm not dealing with drunk A holes either. I also leave off cash on delivery and I do NOT go shopping . Food orders only. Food ready. In my insulated bag ( I use my GH bags for GH and DD they are better than DD bags ) Food dropped off. .. Done!
Back in the day Postmates had zones in Mexico City and I think in some of the Canadian cities Like Vancouver, and Toronto. It is still the only USA Delivery APP that was multi-national that I seen
@@Moore.Driven Actually they have grocery pickups at Albertsons that are already ready, I haven’t seen that anywhere else such as at Walmart they don’t have that. I started dashing in 2016, they didn’t have shopping at that time until years later.
Going into Malls having to park, lot of walking to find the store, then having to find your car. Wonder how much time they will give us for these kinds of orders.
I just seen a ad for door dash business so employers can have a account with a point system for buying employees lunches and stuff. It sounds like they are trying to make more money that way also.
People be on too much bs to risk accepting a retail order. I took an order to a sporting goods store. They wanted it handed to them. After I delivered the items they complained that the items never came. Got a contract violation. I’ll never accept an order like that again.
I like my regular courier work with an actual courier service better. But the market speaks for itself. If you're top tier enough with doordash, you should be able to demand a competitive rate in the ballpark of what a regular courier gets. Instead of having to lower your rating to decline offers for 4$ at 12 miles. Who even accepts those tickets?
There are already deliveries from dicks sporting goods and sephora here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Yes they are no tips, but they pay well. Easy pick up also because it's all bagged and ready to go
This are not new thou probably on different states they just starting now, I remember when I was doing doordash 2-3 years ago Walmart, cvs, Walgreens, GNC, Nike, Adidas, Rebook & UA are on doordash but for athletic apparel all items are already shopped for by the employee and just have to use the red card when you arrived
Tip after delivery is shit they have been doing it in the Baton Rouge and east Baton Rouge zones for over 6 months now it’s shit the amount of 2.25 orders have went up 10 fold and the amount of 3-5 dollar orders for 50 cents a mile has went up the same nobody can figure out how to tip after and the ones that tip are usually pizza orders and orders from restaurants themselves tip after delivery only is a joke pray they don’t put it in your zone
Coming? I did a Dicks order of jogging pants, shirt and a hoodie the other day. It was a good payout - B U T - it’s hard to navigate such stores. They only show something if it’s in stock. Issues were: 1) Two out of four items were *technically* in stock but as a result of a return. They did not know where it was. 2) Store is set up weirdly and though helpful, staff is not always available. 3) Takes longer than just running through a grocery store. 4) Prepare for a lot of communication with customers.
Yup. I had a Dicks sporting goods delivery... It was good. Fast. And I like the grocery deliveries from Safeway. The FLORAL deliveries, I don't like.. They should be paying a lot more for the Surprise deliveries(floral).
I don't need the vitamin shit I have an amazon if I wait two days or 1hour doesn't even bother me for grocery I have instacart if I needed a car I have Uber so I don't even have to go out :D
Door dash pay has been a rip off because the miles and toll all that driving takes on our vehicles. Repairs and maintenance is so expensive. Unless you drive a newer vehicle with a warranty its not even worth it. And the odds of getting in a car accident is really high. There is so much more then just our time that should be considered. An i wish taxes would be taken out automatically because i think it would make it easier for people. Idk I stopped dashing in my area a year ago but id like to make extra money so im going to try lyft an Uber
I think the only way a clothing delivery would work is if it's ready at the front counter when you arrive.
Yeah I think that’s how it would work
The few retail orders I've taken are just like some of the grocery store orders. You go in and shop for the items.
thats how Amazon Flex works
basepay should be 2 dollars a mile, then tips would be more like actual tips and it wouldn't matter if they tipped or not.
Yeah I totally agree
Retail = $0 tips
I guess we’ll see🤷♂️
I think it's great!

If that base pay is high I could care less about a tip
casually put a tip jar out and see what happens
Earn by time baby, did a Sephora run, 1.5 hrs, $59
Doordash should do some challenges where they give you free food or free bags shits something.
Why when they will have people working for them regardless. Don’t need to do that
@@rudywristlock no they don't need to but it would make it more fun to dash
Yeah it’d be cool if they did
Truth 😂
They sent me a free tote bag in 2019 when I first joined after applying

They've been doing this since late 2022. Sephora, Macy's, Walmart, Walgreens, Gamestop, etc.
They should have the grocery delivery like walmart spark so that the orders will be ready for pick up instead of having to shop.
They actually used to before Walmart spark was a thing
@@Moore.Driven Actually they have grocery pickups at Albertsons that are already ready, I haven’t seen that anywhere else such as at Walmart they don’t have that. I started dashing in 2016, they didn’t have shopping at that time until years later.
They did, until Walmart decided to launch their own platform to save them money.
I had my first mail package pickup via DoorDash within the past couple of weeks.

More free labor to the restaurants to bring n money them. Total bs, napa pays $16 using there truck now they pay $16hr using ur car.
Interesting, thanks for sharing this!
I have done a couple Finish Line and Beauty salons. They deff pay pretty good. I got 11.75 gor a 1.4 mile total trip. Thats fast for $10

Yea and not only that but being robbed while delivering food can get worse if you gotta deliver shoes or items that grabs ppl attention

Door dash doing stop and shop now. Got a few of those. Also Best Buy, but never had an offer from that retailer.

How can I complete the alcohol certification? I just started doing door dash and it popped up yesterday and now it’s now popping up thank you.

Thanks for the insight

I’ve had a medicine delivery before, it might be new in some areas but I’ve had it for about a year I think
Notifications on! Hope you're having a good day.

A lot of what your saying is happening in Vegas it’s like that for about two years
I wonder why we ourselves as individuals cannot make our own app and keep 100% of the money. If it's the power advertising that's easy
We could, we’d just need to software to do it
Yes would Love to see everyone do their deliveries take their own zones back every city every town have their own personal delivery services
I wonder if they have any interest with dispensaries
