How to Shiny Hunt Roaring Moon in Pokémon Scarlet!

- This is quick guide on an easy and efficient way to shiny hunt the cool Scarlet Version Exclusive paradox Pokémon: Roaring Moon!
In order to do this shiny hunt, you must have already beat the game (3 main storylines) and have access to Area-Zero. Once you have access to these areas, travel to the Zero Gate, save your game (auto-save off) and make a Dragon or Dark Encounter/Sparkling Lvl 3. sandwich recipe (or use a Dragon/Dark Encounter Lvl 2. recipe without Herba Mystica).
Once you do so, then travel to research station 3. Exit the station, then keep left along the rock wall until you reach a cave entrance. This cave will spawn Roaring Moon and other Dragon type Pokémon. Here is where you will begin the shiny hunt! I found the best results by WALKING around the room while auto-battling Pokémon to help increase the spawns of Roaring Moon.
Keep repeating the process until you eventually find your shiny. Keep in mind that sandwich buffs will only last 30 minutes, so if you don't find your shiny in this time, you can just reset your game (to save ingredients) and try again! Good luck!

@@MazzoraGames Thank you. It’s the first time I’ve actively pursued a shiny and caught it. I think from this video i have a much better idea on how to catch shiny Pokémon in general. At least with SV.
I did this and managed to get the roaring moon and then two zwelious in the last 20 seconds of the sandwich 😂
Thanks for the video! The key tip for me was the mentioning of staying on foot and autobattling. Staying on Koraidon means that you keep on loading in groupspawns of Gible+Gabite, Greavard+Houndstone or even worse: Pawmio.
I managed to get my shiny on the first sandwich in the dieing seconds. Didn't get a single shiny Zweilous, but I'm not bothered by that as I already did find a fullodds Deino at DalizapaPassage and a slew of spares in PokémonGo from the community day they held.

I got roaring moon using this method. I also found crouching can help slow you down to a good pace if you have trouble keeping a walking pace, while auto battling. I did this without the shiny charm as well. Thank you! I have also caught dratini, duraldulon, and frigibax using this method. I am working on starly now.

I think my sandwich glitched, made the exact same one as you in the same area and went into the cave. Barely any dragon types are showing up.
I think I did something wrong because I made that sandwich but it gave me flying encounters not dragons
and i haven’t found a shiny yet ty for the tutorial

What’s better to use dark, or dragon sandwich
They’ll both give the same chance to find Roaring Moon. It’s your preference if you’d rather run into other dragon or dark types while hunting!
Late response but to anyone trying, it’s better to use dragon sandwich. This will allow you to encounter only Zweilous + Roaring Moon if done correctly. Dark sandwich will spawn in additional Sneasel + Sableye on top of the 2 dragons.
I’ve been doing this for an hour and a half and got nothing for my first 2 sandwiches and then on my third I got three shiny Zweilous and still no roaring moon😭

The shiny charm isn't necessary (although it definitely helps)! I'd suggest using the sparkling power lvl 3 sandwiches to help you with this hunt. Overall though, the biggest challenge is just staying patient. Good luck!

@@ShallowStep I agree, BUT as a Scarlet-player, it got a LOT easier to take down 5☆ and 6☆ TeraRaids for those Herba's once I managed to trade for an Iron Hands. That thing is a hard carry and it has given me so many HerbaMystica's enabling the efficient method of hunting.
I mean I ignored Scarlet for a bit, but thought 'what the heck, why not?' tonight. Made a Fairy-type sparkling sandwich. Got a shiny FlutterMane in the wet depths of the cavern and then a shiny ScreamTail at RS4 with about three minutes left. Made a Grass-type sandwich and caught me a shiny Brute Bonnet (not gonna lie, I wish this didn't took me 26 minutes for just the one). I thought I was done for the night, but knowing that Roaring Moon was a hard one, I wanted to just give it a try. And yet again on a single sandwich, I got my shiny Roaring Moon with about a minute to spare. My 5th Paradox Shiny (my first was a GreatTusk at an earlier time) and 4th in one evening.
Just SlitherWing and SandyShocks left. 😂
