I'm glad you liked Kazakh cuisine. I would say that no one is usually indifferent when they try it for the first time. I believe the dishes of our cuisines are very nourishing, yet also delicious
In some regions of Japan, horse sashimi is a delicacy. It's called BASASHI (馬刺し) and it's really delicious.
Loved this being in Japan, especially at Izakaya
Really?!I didn't know this information about Japan! Thanks!
Some Japanese seems to be Turkic origin, there was a video about Hokaido...were Hok means Blue,Kok or Sky,in Kazakh,Ai is a tribe who lived in that part of Japan Ains...
The fat of the Sakha(Yakut) breed of horses has the ability to dissolve in heat; this fat dissolves in human blood and does not create any blood clots and other diseases that impede blood flow. These linolenic acids (Omega-3) are able to restore liver function, increase immunity, inhibit the development of cancer and prevent the deposition of cholesterol on the walls of blood vessels, and also remove radionuclides from the human body. Some Japanese have long known about this and are buying foal in Sakha(Yakutia) to prevent or treat radiation sickness.

It's a beautiful union of Turkic people. I'm a Turk from United States. We should have more videos like this one to bring us closer. I've had Samsa before. It's my favorite.
In Hungary, we don't really drink fermented horse milk anymore but we did in the past. In Hungarian it is called kumisz.

I’ve only ever had “Sakura sashimi” which is basically just seared and then thin sliced raw horse meat that’s served in some bars in Japan. I actually really enjoyed it, it’s got a bit of a different taste than cow meat. Like more gamey because it’s more of a muscularly dense animal. But because of the thin slices it made it super easy to eat. Iirc it was served with a sweet vinegar and shiso leaf.
Very interesting. I’d be open to trying some!
So happy to see another of your videos!!! Here in the United States nobody really eats horse meat. Cow and pig meat is the mainstay of the American culture nowadays. We still eat "wild" animal meats like deer and such. Usually only if you hunt it yourself or know someone who hunts. Say hi to the family for us!!!❤❤❤
I think it depends on where you live in the US. In California (and especially in South Cal) would say fish and chicken are way more common and there are tons of vegetarians. Hamburgers are tourist food.
@@susanholl5994 I agree fish and chicken are eaten probably more than beef. I was just sticking with the "meats" that we eat since they were eating horse :)
You are descendants of the farmers who kept horses as muscle driven machines. You had them one or two or three. We, nomads, were like you until the bronze age catastrophe. At this time our cattle animals stopped to be cows and started to be horses. Bronze was replaced with iron. The nomads started to move around the Eurasian continent. Horses started to be our meal, our bed, our currency, our Everething.
Yeah I looked this up and I'm not sure if it's federal or state law but it's illegal to sell horses for commercial consumption. Generally Americans are sentimental about horses so I get it. But horse meat is delicious 🫤
I love watching what people eat and drink around the world. The horse intestines are called chitterlings here but Americans seem to only eat pig intestines. I don't care for them but many of my family members enjoy them on special occasions.

In the USA, we call any dried, salted raw meat a jerky . So, horse jerky. Here in Northern USA, beef and venison (deer) jerky are popular.
I’m so glad that you are getting to try so many Kazakh dishes. Maybe you can do some videos showing how to make them with the recipes? I hope that you are able to return to Yakutia soon, but not until it is safe for your whole family!

Hi ladies , greeting from Thailand . Your channel is very interesting 🤩
You ladies are so lovely!❤❤

I have not tried kurt before.. but I am always interested in Central Asian Turkic / Mongolic culture, so when I visited Seoul, South Korea I hunted down a Mongolian shop selling such stuff. Unfortunately the kurt or some similar dried milk product was already past expiry date but still on sale, so I did not buy to try it, even though I wanted to have a taste. But to me it looked like chalk or pebbles LOL especially when you knocked it on the table it seemed so hard.
In Chinese culture even though we are neighbours right next to Mongolia / Central Asia but our dietary habits are so different. There is zero dairy products in Chinese cuisine, and we don't eat intestines of horse but we do eat intestines of pig, so maybe I can understand what 'specific smell' you are referring to in the kharta. People who like it will probably love it, but those who do not love the taste will dislike it.
Kurt can live forever in a dry temperature.
I would love to try Kazakh food 😊
