I know myself and Justin have come a long way with tweaks to the walls to address some of the issues with spacer fitment and strengthening the axle holes to avoid/reduce the chances of it cracking with our most up to date versions of walls... if we can figure out how to get you a set of my V2's and some wheel setups to go with them I'd love for you to give them a proper go... Great video as always bud and that intro.. LOVED IT! haha
That's the big thing I noticed about the core market place. Since it's so much easier for you guys to update a design, things get updated fast. And I'm VERY slow at making videos. I just got some 56mm wheels so I'll be skating the V1s ASAP. "The Widest Groove on a Prime" is a great title for a video. Sorry I'm SO SLOW at making things happen 😅. Thanks again for sending them out and for watching this video!
Really good summary of the tech. Thanks for the kind words too! We ended up figuring out that the coke white material is much weaker than every other color in the same materials line. We switched to a warmer white awhile back and it’s proven to be just as strong as all of the other colors.
The reason for this is because of the amount pigment that is injected into the filament to make it that colour. To make the filament a solid cold white, it needs A LOT of pigment. As youre well aware, as the same as it is in paint colouring, the pigment is a sort of powder. It creates microscopic weak points in the filament, having no pigment means no weak points. Therefore the natural colour of what ever filament type, is the strongest it will be. Either that or black colour.
That intro was 🔥🔥🔥you forgot to add that for every frame that's purchased from the site the designer gets a small royalty, other than that this was a great look into the core system 👍👍👍up next prime vs balance 2 yeah :D
I hope people see this cause that's a really important part. It's not like 50/50 is making money off people designs they're enabling people to make money off their own designs. Thanks for watching MoMo!
Iconic intro 🔥 I definitely have the fiddly axles. I found it quite amusing after Law saying the Oysi tolerances weren't good enough, but I honestly found them easier to set up than the Primes. 😅 No shade either way, I love both of those frames! Also the holes for the UFS bolts on the ones I have were a little too tight, but I know they fixed this for newer versions. I absolutely love the idea and so had to buy into the concept, I've currently tried the stock walls, Hexis and T60Rs. I hope there are many new walls to try over the coming years 🙏
Spacers into the white frame with the wax wall thing... try sand paper wrapped around a pencil or something like that, give it a good spin with your hands man!
The balance 2's slide much better than the first balance frames IMO. You may be able to skate them on flat 55's, but wouldn't advise anything larger than that.
Finally ironed out all the click clack with mine and now I absolutely love them. My favorite frame so far. Hoping to review some of Justin Thursday’s frame walls once I can order a pair. 🤙🏻
im glad u like em ive hd a couplehomies talk me out of gettin the 50/50 balance frames i wish i would of tried em for myself buuuuuuut i ended up getting sone oysi frames and i am one happy lad
There was an iconic clip that would be played before you watched a film in the early 2000s and this is a perfect parody of it. You'd see it all the time in the UK, I assume they had it in New Zealand as well by the looks of it!
I can see why flat skaters wouldn't see much performance benefits from the core since the nature of riding flat is already a huge buff, so you get diminishing returns. But I can say as an anti rocker skater the difference in responsiveness between the Prime frame and something like the GCFL3s is night and day. Its almost (but not quite) like getting flat performance in an anti rockers setup.
That's a really good insight I didn't even think about. Makes a lot of sense too with all the stress being on the first and last wheels. Cheers for sharing!
@@L3monwedges I've been skating flat for a good while and was completely blown away by how the Primes felt to skate anti-rocker. Speed, responsiveness, turning etc, did not feel like a normal anti setup at all.
Thanks for watching. That depends what you're looking for in a frame. The Sola frames really good for transition, bowl and park skating but are too rigid for street skating. The Primes are a better all round frame working in all areas just not as dialed in on transition like the Solas. Hopefully that makes sense.
Are spacers supposed to go in the front and back of those wax frames? I thought the core goes into those areas? Or does that frame not use the metal core part?
The spacers go through the metal core and the plastic frame walls on wheel 1 and 4. Turns out, the creator of these frames forgot to drill the holes for me. A quick drill and I'll be able to roll them.
I ride freestyle frames! Kiezer Type - X frames! Actually snapped one the other day, so now I'm on the Xjsado or however it's fuckin spelt. It's so hard to find Freestyle frames (Large) in The UK... Even on the web. Anyone got any Site suggestions that Ain't Loco Skates or Bladeville
Hit me up in insta bud I'll give you our axle hole dimensions for axles 1+4 so they don't need drilling out and will fit all cores (some tolerances in lengths are weird).

@@zesty_italian Exactly. Well said.
Thanks for watching man! That makes a lot of sense. Even with the weakest version of the frame, it held up good enough. Keep making cool stuff 🔥🔥🔥

Such types of knowledge will let me someday become a Regalia user Air Gear manga style
Thanks for the great video. Now we just need a vid focusing on the best 3d printers and materials to use to make strong soul plates and frames.
Great video! Love the intro. Clips made me miss trips to the Hutt tho 🥺 will have to come down and try my blades out in that bowl
You should! That'd be great
I’m on 50/50 prime with flat 60. And I love it.
Nice detailed review that's honest and critical. 👍
Ah, I see what you mean. Good job on the intro :)
I’m glad I’m not the only one with issues putting the axle bolt in all the time haha

I don't really skate aggressive (at this time, but that may change), but when I do, I love the TK Crawford frame walls from Justin Thursday.
Go a set of from’s on the way. Having just broken my flt4’s I’m looking forward to a metal core.

Chilli got it. Its a parody of this anti piracy clip that would play at the start of DVDs ua-cam.com/video/HmZm8vNHBSU/v-deo.html
We need a frame core with a longer wheelbase and/or one long enough to accommodate 5x76 😈
