Kathy have you used your home made gel plates for paper projects with any kind of paint? If so how was it? I seem to be struggling and I’m not sure if it’s the plate or the paper or the paint. If you or someone else has tried it for other than pottery I would love to have some feedback! Thanks
I,m wondering if the commercial gelli plates are made using glass as a pouring surface as opposed to a metal baking sheet , which would have a slight texture . Even though they seem smooth , the baking sheets would have some “Tooth” , thus holding onto the ink . Just a thought ….
Thank you for the video. Is there a reason that you didn’t just press the inked gel plate to the clay forgoing the tissue paper? And when there is remaining ink on the plate, just stamp it on another tissue for a second print
So great to see how they perform. Those new velvet underglazes really seem worth it. Thanks as always!
Thank YOU for watching!

Hey Kathy, can you mix the new amaco inks to make different colors? Love printmaking. On clay blows my mind.
Thanks Ms. Kathy! Gelli Plates are brand new to me. You are really motivating me!

Great idea! It’s worth a try.
Love this but I am wondering if you can use these inks and print on paper?
Personally I think they probably work better on paper.
today 8/13/2024, I tried to find the Amaco Inks at different pottery supply stores. Any idea when the Inks might be available?
There has been a delay but it should be very soon!!!

I found it difficult to print on the clay without it smearing but if you can get it to work that would be great!
