Dare I say there is only one thing that I liked more than watching TRACY transform 2 ho-hum lamps from the thrift, to 2 stylish, unique, high-end style lamps... that was watching Bertie strike a cheeky pose at the beginning and seeing him happily jumping after a box full of tennis balls. I am on the lookout for a piece to transform using TRACY'S unique concoction of joint compound, dirt and herbs. Seriously, this beyond creative lady needs a TV segment on morning TV! Thank you TRACY!

The lamps turned out wonderfully!
We had a golden named Beckett who could smell a tennis ball a mile away. Bertie does deserve at least 30 of them as he is quite a fabulous supervisor. ♥
Tennis balls must have a particular scent!! He goes mad for them😂🎾
You could probably turn those tennis balls into something amazing, too, with your talent!
Can you imagine Bertie if I tried to take those away from him!!😂🎾

The addition of the soil, spices and herbs really bring the organic texture to life and looks so much more natural than paint. I'm excited to try this technique on a large decorative bowl and a candelabra that just don't suit my style. Thanks for the great inspo!

Berties poses had me literally laughing out loud! I love these lamps, although I have nothing stone like in my home. But, I was thinking I could make one for the outdoor covered patio, add some dried moss at the base to give it that garden feel. And I can actually add a solar light top to the light bulb section with a simple shade to disguise it. I love all the inspiration, Yes those light bulbs are amazing!!!!! Today’s projects are amazing! I plan on trying this technique as my next design project. I have already wrapped all my lamp cords (flex as all of you across the pond call it) what a brilliant idea! I love your makeovers and in particular the stone technique, I tried it on an old pink glass vase that I had put in the garden 3 years ago because it didnt match anymore. It looks lovely now and is sitting in pride of place in my garden room. My sister thought it was an antique roman vase. 😂
I used to makeover furniture years ago, I'm always making things out of bits of wood for the garden. I can't wait until I can try the outdoor stone effect on some of my old planters. Since watching your channel, I've got the bug again. Happy days 😊

Your technique I used on a plaster figurine I found at a shop marked down for 2 dollars because it had been glued back together it's a large size and after watching your video, I wanted to try a makeover on it I had some drywall plaster leftover from a project, anyway it turned out really nice, I think so ! Lovely episode Tracey. What lovely finds you made and turned them into high end jewels. I have tried your techniques on pottery I made. They were pieces I loved but had broken. Wow! They have new life and I am glad I kept them, I used dirt, chillies and cinnamon. They stand happily in our living room..

Brilliant from start to finish! When I find the right piece I intend to try this technique: I’ve done the chalk paint/baking soda method which has the look of faux concrete and that’s fun, but this stone look would be even more interactive! I think I’ll go with lots of cinnamon!

I bought a charity ceramic lamp and did this technique using coffee and cinnamon, and then I wrapped the lampshade. All I mist still do is wrap the electric cord. And I love it. I have done pots previously using sand, before finding you, but I love all your choices

I love your faux technique, and YES I have tried, and I feel it was a success ❤ I was a bit heavy with the joint compound, so lesson learned, but on the other hand, I had good luck with the coffee, cinnamon, and herbs, I am excited with the result, and am ready to do more! I did start small, a pitcher, but next time, I’m going bigger❤

I have used vanilla for colouring as well as hot chocolate powder and even beef stock powder and jello before!!! Himalayan pink salt worls for a bumpy texture too...and bits of crushed chalks.

What amazing God given talent. The lamps are beautiful and such warm light. I love the light bulbs and the way it turned out. The dish and top was also adorable I so enjoy your vlogs and look so forward to them. I have been external I’ll this passed week and need something to look forward to. Not looking forward to Dr. appoint to see if I am having surgery. So bless you for having some joy in my life.
