Brilliant work guys. I've been waiting to hear Between Us Two for over 25 years since I saw Sammy first mention it in an interview. To know that this is the instrumental version is so satisfying. Hopefully the vocal version gets released officially, or leaked unofficially ;-) one day.
Brilliant little chat Steve, Adam & Chris. 3 of my favourite human beings in one place.. beautiful. And the authors of the two best books on Edward. And what a gem of information in this chat. Loves and peace from Down Under 💜🙏
I started with BB King and I went down to Stevie Ray Vaughan and then I was playing in Texas flood and the next thing you know everybody wanted to review it and then all of a sudden Van Halen came on and I started playing along with them not thinking it was good of affected anything but I really started affecting a lot so I'm confused as much as anybody else but I'm more than happy to demonstrate what you need to be need to show and it happened
I played Stairway to Heaven as well with it but I was just going along with the with the interview with the guitar I didn't know that it was going to bleed into the actual actual sound of it
Pretty sure I read an interview with Sammy where he stated that there's a version of Between Us Two with his vocals. I also remember an old interview with Sammy where he said Bruce Fairbairn was insisting on getting a writing credit for the song, which resulted in Eddie firing him. Sammy said it was the last major decision he and Eddie agreed on.
Is the acoustic guitar that I have that got broken but I play the E string a lot up and down the neck to get those certain sounds that you don't get on a lot of the other chords so I don't know what you mean by the other part of it but I was in the gym and it sounded like
When I play my guitar I play it like I'm the one singing I let my fingers sing the words but not my mouth so when I when I play the guitar it basically I run my fingers through the strings like it's kind of freaking each letter of it and just spell just say the word I don't know how to explain it
In Steve’s 1996 interview with Edward called ‘Eruptions’ wasn’t this song here a source of an argument about opening lyrics for it between Edward and Glen Ballard on one side and Sammy on the other ? ….Didn’t Edward say to Sammy -‘Sam, Glen has got some great lyrics going here ,,just try to go with them.’ A Dark Side of the Moon type vibe which went -‘ I want to touch your soul and get to know you’ ….‘But Sammy wanted to change the lyric to daft sh*t like’ - ‘I CAN’T SEE YOUR DIAMOND RING THROUGH YOUR SHINING STAR’ 🤔😖…Apparently Ed said -‘Sammy, these lyrics are as daft as ‘WHAM,BAM AMSTERDAM’ …Just follow Glen’s ideas. And Sammy got angry and said -‘I’m off to Hawaii, bugger this crap. I have a plane to catch’ …And Sammy walked out of 5150 studios feeling very angry…. I seem to remember in Steve’s interview something like that. This was in 1996 around the time of the Twister film soundtrack …That was when the great ‘Van Hagar’ era came to an end. (Paul)
I think the instrumental version Alex has released is BEAUTIFUL actually…..It doesn’t need lyrics over it of any kind obscuring the wonderful interplay between Ed and Alex. (Paul)
I'm not trying to get anything out of it but if there is anything to be done about I just want to be basically just making sure you guys are happy with what has been done and other than that I'm good I might not have a lot of things in life but I do have my self-respect and taking something for somebody when it was a total accident would be a piece of s*** and I am not a piece of s*** so I hope everything works out
What it is you put on a guitar song and I have a app on my phone which is a Valium booster and that's all I put on there and I play my guitar but does the amp and it puts my sound on to the amp itself I guess
Hey bro if I had any part of it I apologize I was just playing my guitar that night I wasn't trying to jump into anything and if I did it wasn't meant to it's just a part of life and when you have to listen to the music to play the music but I'm sorry if I did anything to disrespect you
Well if you put on a song and let me and cam with it with you guys doing what you're doing now you understand what is being done without having any other questions that's one thing I can do but to let you know that if you want to be done if you like what I'm doing if you want to pursue anything with me that would be great if not I understand but I can make it easy
Can I go back and forth all up and down the neck like crazy and for different sounds different different tones and everything to do to see how it stands out if you watch the Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Texas flood and the the Voodoo Child and give me Hendrix Voodoo Child you know what I'm talking about
Hey, my guitar playing the talking guitar I can play Jimi Hendrix I can play all the above just put on something you'll see it talk without an amp on my end
Sorry this isn’t a big deal. I think it’s sad Alex releases something from 20 years ago? He and Ed didn’t do anything on tape in the last decade worthy of release. Also, Alex’s book was void of anything any die hard fan hadn’t heard before, 200 pages a pretty pathetic effort.

So cool Steve!

Makes a lot of sense too. The tone sounds very "Balance-Era"
I was a huge fan of Cherone with Van Halen. And his version of between us two is the only version with vocals, I’m interested in hearing.
Fantastic record yo
Great work guys. Enjoyed listening and having some things cleared up 👍🏻
Thanks Mr. Steve! Cheers from Jacksonville, Florida
Omg. I need more of this content!
This is incredible! so fun! and so cool !

Tremendous guys. Appreciate y’all. This is history.
Great. Thanks. Thanks for the Alex. Tapes u put out. Definitely a different angle from. Heard more about family
Wow thats awesome!! Always wanted to hear Between Us Two... so cool that Alex released it as a Edward / Al brothers song as Unfinished... :)
This is fantastic!
Was this song released by Alex in his book a dig at Sammy knowing this was his downfall or last episode in the band?
I played Stairway to Heaven as well with it but I was just going along with the with the interview with the guitar I didn't know that it was going to bleed into the actual actual sound of it

Any correlation to Come Closer by Chickenfoot?

Where can I find your audiobook?
They said I have songs out with BB King theory on and Audrey and some other people but I haven't got no recognition on any of it
thx again
What was the title for the song that Gary sang? Not sure if Chris Gill mentioned that. Was Between Us Two the title Bruce Fairbern came up with?

See my brother passed away 6 months ago so I've been playing can you play the heck of a lot of my guitar everyday

Personally, I'd go with the lyrics you say Sam wrote.
Ballard's are 👎

They may have had unfinished on the list for ADKOT and maybe DLR didn’t blow them away with the lyrics either
Name of Jason d u g h r i d g e if you guys need to know my name
