I'll start by saying that everyone has their own tastes and should be free to have them, so no problem with your judgement, I just have to make a few observations. More than Spanish or Caribbean, the song, as well as in the lyrics, in some parts refers to Cumbia, which is a Colombian dance which then spread to the rest of Latin America, but also contains rapped, melodic parts, even a cappella, and above all references to Mediterranean and southern Italian rhythms and music. It seems to me that the thing you like least is the fact that it is sung in Italian, apart from the fact that Italian is the language of classical music, and not only of melodrama, but I prefer that each people sing their own songs in their language and don't be so clever as to sing them in English to try to make everyone like them since the song market is predominantly in English. Here... Here, sadly, this seems like a somewhat bland Carribean (Spanish because of that guitar) song. About the captivating/making people move and dance - in context, it would have to fight songs like Croatia, which is a fight I am not sure Italy wins. The rest I think comes down to taste really. My taste is best described as enjoying mainly songs with huge effect (like symphonic metal or such - Nightwish, Within Temptation), clean pop-metal (Amaranthe) followed by songs listening/watching which is so fun to me I forget to care basically about the rest.
