May I ask: when creating a yt short on mobile, can one use the music that youtube provide it on the application. Are there any copyright issues? Is that music copyright free? Thanks is advance for the answer!
I got hit with a copyright strike for using a piece of music it shows in the shorts editor screen. If your short is less than 15 seconds then you're probably good to use the music they show but don't quote me on that.

ive still confused why when i try to upload a shorts video to my channel, it doesnt go to the shorts self when follow all the steps, and when i hit the plus sign the creat a short feature isnt there, is it cuz i have an iphone 6?? but that shouldnt matter but some of my older videos on my channel are automatically on the shorts self with out putting the hashtag shorts in the title, someone help please

You can edit your videos in the UA-cam app. Special tools are already available when uploading content.
But you cannot edit multiple clips - YT app doesn’t provide that option which is the biggest disadvantage
