I'm an older gay male. I don't agree with any of this modern bull crop about trans. We all want to be kind to these people, but things have spun out of control. The attempted normalization to children, and the decimation of females athletic careers by these people like Thomas, are real crimes, and need to be stopped. It's all so weird. I'm on your side.

Yeah. Title IX is pretty pointless with these sort of rulings. I think, at a minimum, trans athletes should be fully transitioned, unlike Lia Thomas, who is still a biological male.
Whoever allowed Lia Thomas to join women in competitive sports should be in jail.

He just wanted to win. Why else would he "transition" to be a woman after 20+ years as a man? He is a "everyone gets a trophy" generation, so he wanted one no matter how he got it. Wonder what he's gonna tell his wife and kids about it? It's ok to lie and cheat, just get that trophy? I hope this haunts him for the rest of his days. Every second of every day.

Lia Thomas is known to also be just a TERRIBLE person. On a broader scale though, women deserve to be heard. I recently was denied an OBGYN appointment because I refused to identify as a “birthing person” rather than a woman. I’m not a cow, I’m a person and I deserve respect too.
It is only a matter of time "birthing person" will not suffice, because some people identify themselves as such...

I’m familiar with swimming. When boys and girls are 12, the differences in swimming times are very minimal, and some girls are faster than boys. But by the time boys are 13, their times start getting faster than girls by a lot; and a lot of good 14 year old boys could swim competitively at the highest level of women’s NCAA swimming. So to suggest that a 21 year old guy could do all the “transition” stuff and then swim fairly against biological women is absurd. And saying this doesn’t make me a transphobe.
What these people don’t want to acknowledge and outright lie about is that puberty had already done its job. No amount of hormone therapy is going to reverse increased lung capacity, bone density, height and strength. Lia Thomas and other “athletes” like them know full well they have a massive advantage, it is why they want to compete against women because they know they can win due to that advantage and why they don’t compete against men because they wouldn’t even place.

A transgender woman recently won a Miss San Francisco beauty pageant! As a biological man who's heterosexual, I strongly encourage biological women to keep fighting this nonsense! Biological men continue to dominate biological women, even if they are transgender! It's not right, and it needs to stop!
Women are well known to unfortunately put each other down…but it is VERY rare to see men stand up to other men. You even see cases now where psychopathic men in a dress challenge regular men to aggressively react against them in return. Most real men don’t of course (because the stigma is so high in regards to confronting a “sissy” man), that needs to change.

The world aquatics had an open section for transgender and non binary athletes and no one signed up. So it goes to show that these men want to invade womens sports.

Since basically all athletes are forced to undress in the ockerrooms (and if they don't want to, they must quit playing sports), aren't all athletes already sexually harrassed? There’s some female cyclists also that have opposed to men in woman’s sports. I think they’re afraid of having the J K Rowling treatment. They banned Caster Semenya who is female (she has higher levels of testosterone) and allow men 🤯

Multiple people have actually complained but they have no ability to change the rules. People were literally protesting at the same event that Lia won.
Women are naturally more agreeable and risk-averse, so more women need to group together and fight this madness as a large group, and the men need to speak up with them. This whole woke nonsense is basically powered by women, though some men are part of the problem too. This is the very same reason that more females are susceptible to the 'trans' craze because they're so much more group-oriented, as chronicled in the book; "Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters" by Abigail Shrier.
My high school daughters had to compete against a trans runner who qualified for the California state track meet and took the place of a biological female. Paula and her contemporaries are saving women's sports and carrying the torch for all the young girls and women coming up behind them. Thank you for your bravery!

I told my defenseman to dump it in the corner and I’ll take care of the rest. She went to the locker room and we never saw her again:

It is so sad that these young women had to deal with this stress. Being an athlete, while also dealing with the academic rigors of college, is tough enough, without this added stress. Kaitlin Jenner says that anyone who went through puberty as a male, the way that she herself did, has no business competing in women's sports, period. Males have a permanent cardiovascular advantage, and a permanent skeletal and muscular advantage, if they experienced male puberty. No amount of switching to female hormones later in life, changes that.
The Lance Armstrong interview with Cait was fantastic on this topic.
Martina Navritalova did a similar interview with Kara Swisher. Martina made same statements as Caitlin, and had troubling stats pointing to damage being done to women's sports.

Horrible what happened to Paula and her team mates. Those responsible at the swimming body and at her college should be held to account. To create an atmosphere of fear and turn team mates against each other was despicable. I hope now that the tide is turning and that the upside down world we have created, where selfish cheats like Thomas can have their feelings put ahead of real women, is going to be reversed and normality can return.

This is bigger than just sports. It affects everyone- bathroom use, fitting room use- there are some stores that have a big open space fitting room par sex. I first saw it at the store, that used to be called Lohmans.
Also- there was a transgender woman (originally a man), who came on to one of the Korean spas last year. Mind you- it is the place where everyone is naked and women bring little kids with them to the spa. Everyone there was freaked out. But they where see as something was wrong with them.
That's so sad to hear that her mental health was being effected by not knowing who she could trust with her opinions and feelings. She must feel so relieved now that she is able to be herself out in the open around people she knows supports her. Must be such a weight off her shoulders and she looks very healthy and happy now 😊
The saddest part is the insanity of the people that put her and other young women into this terrible situation, the people that abused her rights and blackmailed her

It is easier said than done. If you are bullied by your school system. And you have a scholarship on stake.
If there are no competitors to swim against there isnt a event to win. Maybe the schools need to provide mental counseling for the trans.

I raised four adult daughters 35, 29, 25 & 23 this pisses me off and disgusts me as a father.
My adult daughters know that I got their backs and best interests, and if anyone specifically a man in a dress comes for them or their physical spaces, you will deal with me their Father.

Really great interview. The only thing is that I wish that you had spent more time on the Psy-ops portion. How did the Psychologists at UPenn try to convince her that it was a good thing? What phrases did they use on her, if any? Glad she's speaking up. Men need to speak up against this, too.

Yet another inspiring story for our young boys that they can really be whatever they want to be. We can tell them that if they want to be an astronaut, president, actor -- and even the best female sports athlete, the system will support them. You cannot tell this to your daughters though. They can only be whatever they want to be (best female athlete, miss universe, etc.) as long as a man doesn't want it too.

"Soviet style?" Actually, in Soviet Union nobody would force a biological man unto a female athlete team and into a female changing room. And the atmosphere was actually quite more breathable than in the clichè created by the Western media.

I respect all people who identifies themselves differently from a male and a female. But for transgender, it's not right to enter a women's sport mostly when they already know that they could win it over a biological women. You should have your own category in sports. That's the one you should petition.

I like that these girls are willing to speak out. The transphobic label you get auto assigned and even begin to believe about yourself is so wrong. This is not about being against someone’s right to chose what gender identity fits for themselves. This is about fairness in competition for sports. That’s all it is about

I love the fact that she said it’s not specifically about her or Riley really anymore… it just peeked during their time on the team and they were faced with these issues first hand. That being said they want to make sure that these little girls and up and coming young girls have a chance to have their athletic abilities shine through and not be overshadowed by a biological male! I applaud EACH AND EVERY ONE of these young ladies for speaking out! You are appreciated and apart of women’s history! You are fighting for what our ancestors of women did long ago to get us to be made equals! I can't even imagine what this girl, and the others, especially Riley Gaines who had to compete directly with a man, went through this sad episode.
The world is not going in the right direction and these people who let this happen, not only in swimming but in other sports as well, harming so many women and girls, should be fired and banned from working in anything related to sport again.

I wondered the same thing. Do you think they want more school championships at any cost? And maybe the push for pay equality for professional women athletes in all sports has boxed those proponents into a stance that female athletes are only paid less because they are women. They would have to admit they are on a whole weaker. Not that they can't do amazing things and women's sports are entertaining to watch, but they aren't as monetarily profitable.
