- two protagonists that never appear again clash with each other
still don't know how to change their voices. OE voice modding is kinda hard to figure out. so I used oda voice for shinada. and also too lazy to change the boss title lol

Although, shinada is a pretty chill guy. I think Tanimura would be more concerned with shinada's safety then off putting considering he knows how dangerous the amon clan is since he fought them. Shinada has every right to be a little pissed at Tanimura but I can see them working it out and grab a drink together or play mahjong together.
@@Nekomon. true. My headcanon is out of character for both of them from a canon perspective considering both of them are good dudes and pretty chill in the games
My alternate take on this fight:

"No... you were right. I'm not built for another Yakuza game. I'm a detective, and I already had my complete character arc. Maybe you're better suited for that, in that regard. But I've got my own brand of justice. I'm not going to kill some guy for a shot in the limelight again.
But you know what I think? The devs were never gonna bring either of us back. We already knew that, we just didn't wanna admit it. I won't stoop down to that level anymore. If you want to try and kill me for it be my guest- but fair warning I wont just keel over and die. Otherwise... You're free to join me for a drink. There's not much left for us offscreen.

i half exptected them to be in 6 haha, Little Asia burning down and the baseball minigame were perfect comebacks for them
@@xxcraftiestsavxx6478 I felt the same way. Before playing the game, I already knew that Kiryu would fought Akiyama, Little Asia was involved, and Kiryu would fight at a baseball field. I thought that it was Kiryu reassembling the gang or something of that sort.
RGG put them there to fight to death and the winner gets to return. They fought for 12 years

Heya, the creator of tanimura moveset here.
I just wanna let you know that you can use rush parry (by pressing R1+O) as an alternative to Tanimura's L1 parry.
If you think Tanimura's L1 parry is hard to use in this mod, you're not alone lol. The relatively short time to counter makes it hard for most player to find the right timing. And having no indicator about how long your guard stays in parry mode just adds the difficulty. Tbh, Taimura's L1 counter is still kinda janky lol. It still works tho.

That’s interesting. But I think you can take it a step further. Yagami has an R1+O counter for Snake. Maybe you can have that as a substitute instead.

Shinada biking' is something I never know I need in my life
I dunno why but this is just super enjoyable to watch. Tanimura using a refined and smoother version of his moveset here along with having his blue aura for most of it is super cool. I also just enjoy the two of them, its a shame barely anyone even remembers these two. My only complaint is that Shinadas face looks pretty goofy in some parts especially the battle intro, but its a mod and thats a small issue. This was great fun to watch thanks for posting it!

I know that shinada was unpopular and that’s why he didn’t return but why not tanimura? They’ve completely and canonically changed his face ( with 4 remastered having kiwami flashbacks) and voice so he shouldn’t be a problematic character to bring back.
I wouldn’t say shinada wasn’t likeable he just wasn’t a good protagonist I could see him being a likeable supporting side character but as a playable protagonist he’s weak sauce in gameplay and in the story. Tanimura I think had the opposite problem. He was a unique character to play as but people don’t seem to like his slightly cocky personality or his initial persona of being a dirty cop that extorts and gambles
Up until Lost Judgment, no Japanese actor who had their face mocapped in a game appeared in the series more than once. I think this was a deal they made with their talent agencies.
Problem is. Both of their story arcs are practically done so it would a bit hard to implement them. Shinada is practically a no go since he's in a complete different part of Japan and all of his story was explored in Yakuza 5 so they wouldn't have much to build upon that couldn't just be solved with some dialogue. Tanimura's actor was a bit controversial so likely RGG studios doesn't want to mess with it even if he got a different face and voice. Although as a support character he would be a bit better then shinada in that case. But... they brought back Lau Ka Long and kashiwagi so practically anything is possible in yakuza.

In 5 he doesn't even have his own story, instead helping Haruka while Kiryu is away and in 6 he isn't real that important to the story. Saejima and Majima aren't there for example

@@Nekomon. Tanimura's actor was accused of using cocaine in 2016. Yakuza 4 was released in 2011 and Yakuza 5 in 2012. So the controversy has nothing to do with Tanimura not being in any other game in the series. RGG Studios simply didn't want him back. If they did, they had 4 entire years to do so.

Man if there's a mod for 0 so when you switch Styles it's as Quick as Kiwami 1's then this would be so good. No need for the Switch Styles quickly because you got Quick Change Clothes and if you got that other thing then that would be Worthless. So simply a mod so you can make the change style animation be much quicker just like in Kiwami. That and pressing down on the D-pad to get into Dragon Style. Love the way they did it in Kiwami. Simply pressing the arrow depending on what style you are changes to your Weapon. Love that. Kinda hard to get used to it after 0 but it's fine either way. A bit hard after Kiwami 2 too.
