Lada exports ( classic top gear)

who would of thought the collapse of the soviet union would mean we export Lada,s to the Eastern bloc, big business back then.

I owned 3 Lada's back in the 90's, never had a breakdown or any real problems, if they were so bad, why would the Russians want them back?

Reliable affordable transport that can be fixed by the roadside I guess, as good a reason as any I think.

They do very well on poor roads. There is a lot of them out back in russia. Dirt and potted roads. A big lada was s ceo car in the 00'.

I was thinking of buying a Lada Riva 1500 estate in the eighties, you could get a new one for around £3.2 k the large load area was great
