You are so welcome
Everyday I see tons and tons of communication related stuff on all social media outlets. I am currently a Communications major but I was worried I was not going to be able to do much with it according to all the different channels on here, but how can that be when it's everywhere? Some one has to be doing these ads right?
Hi!! Communications roles were around before social media, there are comms professionals that don't work in social media. You can also look for internal corporate communications positions. Keep searching! You've got this!
I got my drgree back in 2011 and haven't had much luck in getting desired roles, such as media, public relations, or related entertainment roles. I've worked a number of varying roles in Admin or Customer service that I try to tweak on my resume as relevant experience. Would you suggest I obtain any specific certifications?
Have you tried applying for pr/comms roles at hospitals, cities agencies, non profits, corporate companies in your area, pr agencies ? … I know you mentioned entertainment but sometimes having regular experience helps. I don’t have any suggestions for certifications.
@@Drewbblog I think I've applied to a couple of your suggestions, but some didn't come to mind. I'll work on those. Thank you!
Communications is the same as communication? I never get it.
It can depend on the university and how the structure programs
