v.i.pfighter it doesn't take a genius to learn hero tho. He has a lot of different possible options that are all interchangeable in certain situations, and not getting one particular move doesn't mean you lose the game, except if you're fishing for zoom, but that's it. Fishing for thwack? Krackle slash or flame slash works too. Fishing for sizzle? Kaboom or snooze work too. Sizz and bang don't kill but they hit ppl off stage so that means edgeguard. Or just save your fully charged neutral b and use that. Hero has other possibilities to make up for not getting what you might want, because what you want, you don't always need that one thing. Other than that, he has fast moves, good projectiles, great ledge trapping, and a shield so not broken but not carried by rng. He gets in disadvantage when he runs out of mana, which is only a little worse than losing ink. Basically inkling with but projectile heavy and with a sword.
Great video, genuinely. Its nice to see a smash channel put effort into a video while not trying to bait clicks with the whole "sO brOKEN" bit. thanks homie
I see that Izaw watched a certain person "go back to the lab again" - im so glad u showed how good kaswoosh actually is for edgeguarding! Thanks for the vid!
There's something you forgot to mention Izaw and I think is VERY useful for those fighting Hero, if you get snoozed in air you can mash out of it faster than getting snoozed on ground (to give you an idea how fast, you can mash out of mid-air snooze in a matter of 1 second at 120%). However, nice video, learned some things about hero myself a lot here! (gotta love the Herocord members on the credits btw XD)
Something to note is that even without MP, Zap and Zapple still have a very weak sword hitbox with the zap one an upward arc from below and zapple a downward arc from above. They won’t combo or do anything good really, but hey it’s pretty cool

NapalmBomb kinda wish Robin was viable too. All her good stuff depletes way too fast especially when you count in everytime she whiffs something that isn't a grab. They need to give her better speed, some grab combos to reliably use levin sword and specials which she might already have but she should have enough to not have to try all the time. The books are fine but levin sword should either deplete less when whiffing or at least have throws that lead into it pretty consistently. You forgot some things. All three levels of Woosh send opponents in the opposite direction Hero is facing. Also, I wouldn't say it becomes better "the longer you charge it." Rather, it has differing properties with each level of charge for different results. Woosh only has 10 frames of landing lag, has the smallest hitbox, & hits once, making it a rather obnoxious OoS. Swoosh has 24 frames of landing lag with 4 hits (dealing 8.4%), eats 9 MP, has 14 frames startup, & has a better aerial horizontal drift than the others, traveling the farthest horizontally. The vortex also moves straight down as the hitbox lingers, making it very good for snatching low recoveries. I've gotten it 3 times in one stock on multiple matches. If you survive long enough you could get more. Really I don't think there is a Heal Limit, it's just one of the more rare spells and it heals less % each time you use it due to move staling. So even if you do get it multiple times it would only heal less and less until it's essentially useless.

Mans probably been testing the character and editing since 4.0 dropped lol
Regardless of the order on my feed, it's Izaw's video first. Thank you for the breakdown.
I love playing Hero, and now I can point to something that rationalizes my reason for liking him
Why am I watching this? I don't have Hero, oh wait, because it's Izaw.
Hey, even if you don't have him, it's good to know your enemy.
Also, Psyche Up only powers up your next melee attack. All projectiles are unaffected.
Great work as always! I could suggest adding the MP consumption for the down specials :)
The whoosh moves always sends opponents the opposite direction you were facing when you start the move
Pro Tip when using Hocus Pocus:
If you are slowed down, using Zoom will make you vulnerable. However, succeeding to do so times out the Timer Effect.
This is because spells and effects that apply to Hero are also slowed down, but not projectiles. I'm sure these work on these spells as well, but I haven't tested yet.
All of Hero's buffs (Oomph, Acceleratle, Bounce, etc.)
Kaclang
Kamikaze
All of Hero's melee attacks (Hatchet Man, the Slash Family, the Zap Family, etc.)
All status effects (Excluding Timer Effect [Maybe!])
I'll edit these when I test them myself. If you've tested these, please reply if I missed some or got them all right.
Also, Hero gets mana from hitting Luma and Nana.
At 11:46, you stole footage from @Geist_SSB, who was the original creator of this footage. This is a nice overall video otherwise, but man, you should really, at the very least, let people know before you use their own video. Your quality of content is great but I hope you don't entertain this habit for much longer because it's not something quality content creators like you should be doing.
Sorry, but... how do you know he didn't ask/inform Geist?
@@delta3244 Because Geist said so himself on his own Twitter account. What more other than the person's word do you wanna ask for?
@@LarcassVevo ...thanks for the unwarranted hostility. Or is this a case of tone not conveying well through text? I did not know about that - If I had I wouldn't have asked.
@@delta3244 I'm not entirely sure what was hostile about what I said but I'm sorry you got that impression, I guess it can be hard to determine through text sometimes. You are good
@@LarcassVevo "what more other than the person's word do you wanna ask for?" was the line that felt hostile to me. I read it as something like "how is the person's statement not enough for you?" To put it another way, it came across as you expecting me to have already seen the tweet and being annoyed/frustrated that I wanted more evidence than 'mere' proof. Not sure if I explained that well enough, but that's the line I misinterpreted.
Thank you Izaw, not jusy for the vid but for the random clips thrown about too
Around 20% or 24, down throw to full hop to up air can combo with up air
Thanks for this guide. I can finally play him and learn to get around him.
Ganondorf: so this is how it feels.... to be killed at zero
one thing to be noted: if you're on the ground when getting kamikazee'd you can just tech the explosion on the ground..
Great video, concise and packed with useful information. Thanks!
How to play hero well:
Step 1: Get good rng
Step 2: Get good rng
Step 3: get good rng
Step 4 (not necessary): try to actually use interesting tech
Also the video was awesome as always
Maybe on wifi, but actually good players will be able to consistently outplay Hero players. Rushdown characters like Fox and Roy will ruin his day, everyday.
Heal can be performed only twice per stock.
How to play hero
Step 1: grab a dice
Step 2: pray to RNGesus
