This ink is quite nice. It is more red leaning which I do appreciate to like as I’m generally not a lover for brown inks. I might have to purchase a bottle because this is pretty. - How does this ink compare to Waterman’s Absolute Brown (another well behaved ink)? - And is that a Sailor 1911 Ringless Epinard with a fine nib which you wrote with the Sheaffer Brown?
I don't have any experience with Waterman Absolute Brown so I cannot speak intelligently on it. Yes it is the 1911 Ringless Epinard. I only clean out the Sailor Epinard ink to put the pen into the rotation for reviews.
Waterman absolute brown is a plain and simple brown. And it really is brown and i like it much better than the Sheaffer brown. May be because i like brown inks. But yes waterman absolute brown is a lovely brown comparatively.
From the beginning of the video I thought "Wow! It looks red on my screen!" and then, well you know because you made the video. Actually it is red... For a brown...
Here are the Direct links to the complement ink that I think looks best with this:
Cross Black

I will need to put it onto the list for the next time I purchase inks.
🤔 It really seems to me kinda similar to Pilot/Namiki cartridge's sepia ink.
Thank you for the video. Love that Sailor 1911 🙌🤩.
It is a great pen...love it.
Just like how Sheaffer green isn't green, the brown is more of a maroon, or i dont even know what to name that colour but its not brown for sure.
Yes, there may be some naming issues there...
Maybe they know when they first made it but calling it Sheaffer Marron wouldn't have sold well.
@@AnInkGuy hahaha.. true!

The problem would have been if it looked brown on the screen.. LOL
lol
It's just very Red leaning, VERY.
'Great, fast-drying ink. I hated it.' lol
