This truck is reslly coming along. I have been thinking about buying an OBS Ford F150 extended cab. I'm really liking the Gloss Smoke Grey I've seen you lay down in past videos. The purple is going to look good on there. With all that you've done so far it's a great truck even for a work truck. Be blessed as always friend

@JamesDguy I've been wanting to do a purple paint job for a friend of mine. The gloss grape is the base she and I both like. Purple is the color of royalty, plus her favorite singer is Prince, so the working title is Purple Reign. Lol! Again, love the work and love seeing more. Be blessed brother.
Looked like the old Cherry Bombs I had on my '71 Camaro. Sounded nice at idle, but way too loud when I stepped on the gas.
Yeah I was gonna get some Cherry Bombs but this was the cheapest option for a temp exhaust. I love Cherry Bombs!

If you run a wirefeed welder without gas it needs to be flux core. Not sure what kind of wire comes with it. Id hope it was flux core. And yes disconnecting the battery is always a good thing. Ive seen people weld on cars with the battery hooked up and had no issues, and seen it fry things.
Also be careful filing welding arcs. I've seen cameras develop a dead spot in the sensor.

Thanks 🙏🏻 also yeah it will have cat for quieter exhaust but will have pre cat exhaust cut outs so I can be stupid loud when I want haha
@JamesDguy idk about Texas but in ny anything 95 and under is exempt. You actually should run it with no cat, and have a muffler out back with nothing else, a thrush muffler has a nice tone, and the cut off to a side pipe, short, Loud, nothing just straight pipe. Very simple and less parts.
@JamesDguy I has a massive 3.5" thrush muffler on my Saab. No cat, no res, just 3" all the way back. Of course it was stage 3 turbo turned also. You could here the crackle pops from 2 miles away. Also no inspection but who gives a dam
I was wondering there was a lot of white smoke coming from exhaust is it normal?
That was cold start and i have noticed on cold starts that cat is working really hard from the excess fuel and i know excess fuel would be black smoke but the cat doing its job would make it a different color. After its warmed up good it don't do it and it don't help that its always so humid here so idk exactly but no oil and coolant mixing and im not losing coolant so much be something else. Idk lol But it don't matter because its getting a engine swap eventually anyways.
@@JamesDguy Yeah, my head gasket blew on my 17 year old santa fe because what I think was a stopped closed radiator cap. So I look for things now.
It's been my experience that after 30k or so miles, the factory valve guide seals allow some oil seepage into the combustion chamber. I don't see how it could hurt anything, but the blue smoke out the exhaust it makes it look like the engine is worn out.

Thanks for your input and im not trying to sound rude I know how messages can sound when reading in your head. I like purple and it was a royal color back in biblical days only ones who could afford it was a king or royalty. The king of kings wore won’t when he was spit on, beat, abused and all that for someone filthy like me and there is a whole lot of reason for the choice plus I don’t mind purple because my daughters like it took and this isn’t just my truck I build for everyone to some degree and my girls are my world so why not and and your correct it is my truck. Next thing which won’t make sense probably is im autistic and I like colors that are brighter I don’t expect you or anyone else to ever understand because most likely your not autistic with adhd and if you are I stand corrected. Girl colors? Lol, you've clearly never seen purple done right. There are some dark, rich purples that look very good, especially on an obs. Purple is one of the only colors I'd choose over satin black or white.

Purple definitely isn't a girls color.
Sounds pretty good. I had 2 40 series flowmasters give to me. Put one on my sons obs and completely changed the sound even better with headers.
Welds do look better. Practice makes perfect.
Idk about perfect but better for sure! I haven’t welded in a long time about a year at least and first time using it I got better results. Also flipped the polarity around and made a huge difference in welded with this flux core

Looks like pretty cool little welder. Id like to learn to tig weld myself. Hopefully in time ill get a setup to learn with n quit putting it off. Gotta get these other projects done first tho 😂
