Sounds good. For my '94 I bought an exhaust from Jamo. The fit is great, down pipe fit in without modifying.

Try a RDS 9 blade turbo it will definitely sound like a Duramax engine

I have a 3 inch downpipe on my truck. I don’t remember where I got it, but I never had to clearance anything.

Having a smaller down pipe would defiantly help with the fitment.

No, but I did replace it with a stock rebuilt one a year or two ago.
