I saw Shea Cotton and Mater Dei High play against Stephon Marbury and Lincoln back in the day. To this day, Stephon is as good or better than any high school player I've ever seen - He would dribble down and either shoot from 30 or drive to the rim, score or make an great pass, he was on fire with such skill! Mater Dei was having none of that though and they had more talent led by the man child Shea Cotton. Mater Dei won the game and Shea threw down some vicious dunks but Marbury was the star of the show cuz he went off big time. Maybe the best high school game I ever saw.

Richard Jefferson says he was 6'7 with a 40" vertical that ran and jumped like a deer...all of that is true and he still was never the hands down best player on any NBA team he was on. That should contextualize how great LeBron is because there are countless players in today's NBA who have those same attributes.

I love hearing Jalen's analysis, and Jay Williams is always on as well. I'm saying that as a Tar Heel. But, I just can't, for some reason, buy into Richard Jefferson as an analyst or doing segments. Just something about him seems off, he isn't very good or well spoken in front of the camera.

    • @johnnytsunami9132

Maybe you just don't like him, but to say he's not "well spoken" doesn't make much sense.

@@johnnytsunami9132 You obviously missed it. By well spoken I mean he is too brash and playful around his buddies, Jalen and Jay are more professional.

@@bibby42 Saying someone isn't "well spoken" doesn't mean "too brash and playful around his buddies"...those are two different complaints, so it's not a matter of me missing anything. Besides, the segment is called "Off the Clock" for a reason, it's not supposed to resemble a professional setting. They're hanging out and talking in a casual manner. Your complaint still doesn't make sense.

@@johnnytsunami9132 RJ is like this in pretty much every show I've seen him guest on. You just aren't getting it and I can't help you there. He isn't a good "in front of the camera" guy. Not well spoken, not treating this like a job. Gilbert is like that too.
