Doing a colony evacuation using caravaning is really tough! In one of my last runs when my colony was about to be overrun, I drafted my colonists, manually directed them to pick up everything they needed to bring, sent them to a safe edge of the map and had them leave with no supplies - occurred to me later that I should have designated forbidden parts of the map so they didn't run into anything on the way out (but things worked out). System should be easier. If raiders can get away from you by leaving the map, your colonists should be able to escape threats the same way.
I had the shittiest day but now... man... I am so excited to sit down and watch this (especially since Brrainz uploaded the 1.4 update to Zombieland and I have yet to try it out)! You are the first UA-camr I discovered when I started playing RimWorld two months ago. Thank you so much for the content that you've been putting out.
Why don't you use fortification mods? It will give you possibility to build walls with windows. So your pawns could shoot through one, without needing to open the doors.
The biggest thing about rimworld zombie apocalypse playthroughs is that you basically need some form of extremely dangerous faction that'll occasionally raid you... just to deal with the zombies. Because otherwise the zombies become the only threat you ever have to deal with, which... really isn't that difficult if you have some experience with how they work. (you can make some VERY effective killbox strats and whatnot against them, and as seen here, certain unit types and whatnot are just... kind of immune to them.) This becomes even more-so the case when you start getting into really large mod"packs", as stuff like RoM just straight up have abilities, spells, etc. that completely destroy zombies due to the fact they're generally unarmored or lightly armored melee-only enemies that all cluster together. And don't even get me started on turret-lined embrasures.
people be like "ima play on 500% threat and 500% mod threat" and then claim "you need to abuse raids/killbox/mods to beat it" imo zombie mod would be great with smth like a "normal" run (no killbox, etc, plus combat extended (so zombies eat up your ammo constantly without dropping any in return) turning it into a real survival setting on a sidenote it's kinda frustrating that most rimworld content goest straight from complete noobs to people trying to abuse the game to its most, where is everyone inbetween? i used to know ONE such channel and i must have accidentally unsubscribed from it or smth sorry for going on rant on a random post
U could have added the modification to zombieland so that zombies attack all creatures including mechs , that's what i do usually for my immersion runs
The Hardest difficulty for veequeue = Mechanitor in a temperate forest , Recluse and with a Mechlink and a supremacist , collectivist and human privacy with mechanoid labos enhanced . OF COURSE
I'm pretty sure you could've just sent all your mechs inside and turned on zombies hunting anything to deal with mechanoids, and then turning it off because in my eyes temporarily increasing difficulty to your advantage is fair game
I just thought of something cool, what if for every matching precept between someone's ideology and the one your trying to convert them to, you get +1% conversion strength, and +5% for every matching meme?
Silly question, I peeked at the mod list and wasn't sure what was giving him the unique looking walls. Is it just a texture or are there fancy walls in one of his mods?

Strange bug that zombies can attack but can't hurt mechanoids. Can't be intended.
I think the default setting of the mod is to only attack humanoid target so anything but that will just get igmored
