Ben needs to coach the Crossfit coaches on how to speak to their class. This is proper professional instruction for the movement. Not doing it right away is okay. Progression is the key. You will eventually get... it is good to hear from your coach. Practice the right technique.
Insanely useful video. I have recently started doing crossfit and am learning to do toe-to-bar currently. This seminar is invaluable. It's a night time in my country now, I can't wait to go to the gym in the morning and try what I've learned now
Have been crossfitting for 3.5yrs and TTB is always had been a far off goal for me but watching this video made me believe that TTB is achievable if trained in a method way. Ben, thanks is just a small word but you are the best. Will try this lessons and will get my TTB soon
Really good tips in here, I appreciate the information and look forward to trying this out! It’s awesome to see your genuine excitement for others as you teach them, you’re a great coach!
Good video, but I didn't hear the word "mobility" once especially for men who have tight hips and bad posterior chain mobility. There's also abdominal/core issues.
Hey Ben. That's really nice 👍.... unfortunately, I leaved one month ago a CrossFit gym 😪...I got injury and pick up gain fat. Something wasn't right. My body sent me signs. I do visit now normal gym and I try to gardening my thoughts and energy.
Why does cf always try to find a more efficient way to accomplish an exercise. Why not do the harder way and build more muscle? Are we in this for best time or to build a better you?
Generally, we're doing reps for time, so fastest/most efficient is always going to be best. But we also make time for strength building exercises, that aren't 'for time'
The only time I ever got a somewhat toes to bar was using a lower bar so that my tippy toes got me in similar position and then pretend in my Head to do a back flip( tuck flick). I have rods in my back so shouldn't mobility issues make it hard to kip..... Hope that makes sense. Tippy toes to make body forward, tippy toes to make body bAck, tuck flick picturing a back flip. Can't do that now since I took a hiatus from CrossFit and I'm rebuilding.
I'm here because our CrossFit coach doesn't care to explain anything .. We literally have to go to him to ask him to explain something and when that happens he's absolutely cold and careless about it.. Too much pride if you ask me.. And it's the only close by gym made specifically for CrossFit in my city..

Great cues and ability to pick up an athlete's inconsistencies on the spot. 👏
I'll use this info in my first CrossFit class with toes to bar exercise. The knees to chest was the key I think will help most.
The quality not only of the video is great but the info is also amazing🔥🔥
Glad you liked it

I guess it depends on cf as a sport or cf as a lifestyle. you do you.

do you always put your thumb around the bar?
I do, yes! Helps avoid falling off the bar and gives me a better grip too.

So it's a knees to chest to bar, not a toes to bar 😂
