147th like from a snookergeek, (look it up! the number means the world to us :D ) deathly afraid of hypers and heights, so this friendship and the turnaround in his feeling about the ride, its eyeopening!
The best thing to do is to take a close friend to a good amusement park and just get on a coaster. Just think....a roller coaster is the one place where you see everyone on the ride smiling. That's how enjoyable they are. It may be the best thing you do and you'll be riding coasters from all over the country.
Everybody deserves a wingman as dope as that guy. Wingmen, actually -- you can hear other pals cheering him on in the background. As for our protagonist, he perfectly captures the moment we've all experienced one way or another in our hearts, as we pierce the veil from terrified rider to wild-eyed enthusiast. Awesome.
Also great, knowing the steady-voiced wingman %100 ABSOLUTELY UNDERSTANDS the fear his pal is in. He's been there. Lol. This video is beautiful -- and hilarious -- on so many levels.
Everyone needs that one good friend, like George. Jackson went from terrified to thrilled in a vey short space of time, and with such a great friend by his side, the whole way.
My first ride was Montu. My fiancé told me “oh it only goes upside down once or twice” it was dark and I couldn’t see the whole track. We went upside down 7 times 🤣
A dive is actually a great first one. It seems more daunting than it is in actuality. Aside from IG it’s the most intimidating looking ride at BGT and once he’s accomplished it, he will feel like he can handle the other B&Ms that are much more intense.
Dude, you were awesome! Nothing pisses me off more than seeing a friend trying to scare the crap out of someone whose not really sure they want to be on a coaster or worse, getting pulled on one. I loved how he went from not wanting to be on it at all to letting go and putting his hands up. That was awesome! Wish more people were like you dude. Your bud did fantastic! Hell of a ride for his first coaster. He should be proud.
Okay this dude has some great friends! Homie on the right was so reassuring! And the minute he put his arms up, I smiled! Everyone should experience a coaster at least once in their lifetime.
You re the best encouraging Jackson! As a super terrified rider trying to push through my fears, this is the way to help us! That "click" when awful fear turns to joy is the best moment!
I love this so much……his fear turned to fun, he went to almost crying to laughing and having a blast……also, his friend is a true friend! Instead of laughing at him and calling him a wimp, he talked him down out of his anxiety! That is a true friend!
Never got on a big coaster until my millionth time to Disneyland. I'd had a bad ride in pop-up carnival really young and the fear carried. I told the kids I'd stand in line with them, but not ride. Found my courage while waiting with the the kids. Did my first loop at CA Adventure. I love them now. Glad he got happy, I know that exact feeling
This reminds me of what I did with my homie on Storm Runer at HersheyPark. I knew there was a delay between the "NOW GET READY! HERE WE GO!" voice and the actual lauch, so I memorized it exactly, so I did a countdown for him to anticipate it.
Same! I watched a mother totally humiliate her young daughter at Cedar Point one year. I was walking to Millennium Force, got to the ramp leading up to the station when a family of 4 started. The girl who was probably 9 or 10 started crying saying it’s too high mama, I don’t wanna go, it’s too high. She started crying. The husband just smirked & kept going, her brother just kept going. Her mother said what the hell’s wrong with you? You coming on this and don’t sass me or I’ll give you something to cry about. Wipe those tears away little baby. You’re acting like a baby. 😳😳😳 My heart broke for the girl, rotten mother.
aw man, sheikra as a first ride is absolutely mental!! i remember my first time going on griffon (the sheikra duplicate at bg williamsburg) and oh man i was just as scared as he was. i am so so grateful that my dad pulled me on that ride though bc now i absolutely love coasters. what a priceless memory for you guys!!
Had a friend whose dad got tickets to Kings Island my buddy and I would go every year together. He couldn’t handle coasters but I could, and this video was our battle for a whole day, I would have to talk to him and push him to get on everything. Took 2 years to get him in the Son of Beast, took a lifetime to get him on diamond back. He was never mad about pushing his limits, or bitter, he was always just afraid and over time we crushed that fear 👌🏻
That happened to me on Goliath at 6 flags magic mountain. I was so scared and then after the first drop my screaming of terror turned into screaming of thrill, and now I am a coasternaut 😂!
it's awesome to see someone go from their (almost) greatest fear, to enjoyment. I live in the Netherlands and did the same thing to my gf. She was afraid of Goliath at Walibi Holland (mostly because it was her highest coaster and she tought the first drop was extremely steep) . I made sure she was comfortable when entering the station. (Told here the layout and told here that she had done more extreme coasters like Untamed at Walibi Holland). When we went up the lift hill she was extremely scared of the first drop. But after the first drop and first airime hill, she just put her hands up in the air and enjoyed the ride (altough the almost got a grayout on one of the turns). After all she was happy she did it. Making from fear an enjoyment is just amazing!!
You mate is a true friend!! To see someone be that caring when most would just laugh and film it this boy was very concerned and did his very best to calm his mate down and help him enjoy it!!😂❤
Sharkira 💀 My first coaster was Coast Rider at Knotts, kind makes me look like a fucking chicken… But at least I managed to ride Manhattan Express in Las Vegas, which is tall.
You absolutely 100% remind me of me when I was younger. I have loved rollercoasters since the age of about 11 when I rode my first inverted coaster. Since then i've been hooked, traveling the world in the search of the ultimate thrill! I used to take friends to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park and even some who were scared and didn't want to go on rides, I managed to convince them. I worked at Thorpe Park and used to work on a ride called Stealth (look it up on here, its a smaller version of Kingda Ka/Top Thrill Dragster). I remember one day a little girl crying because she wanted to go on so bad but was so scared. I knelt down and convinced her it would be over in about 20 seconds and she would really enjoy it. She did it and when she came off she gave me the biggest hug! Moments like that will stick with me forever and seeing your friend going through the emotions from terror to sheer elation made me feel so great and like I said reminded me of when I was younger. I married a Disney obsessed girl and we've been to Florida a few times in the last 10 years. I'm hoping to get out there again soon. Thanks for this video, i'm so glad I was recommended it!
Him finally lifting his arms up was super wholesome; if his awesome friends hadnt talked him through it, he'd have never found that fun, only fear. What a core memory!
Boss level friends. Busch Gardens was where I cut my teeth as well. The Phoenix is still a personal favorite although it's not nearly as large as I'd made it out to be in my mind as a kid! My kid's now this age. Time flies, just like a coaster, over before you know it!
Lmaooo my friend convinved me to ride that with them a couple weeks ago and I cussed them out in the lift and thanked them at the end. LOVED the ride overall but was freaked out at the start lol
Funny coaster reactions actually helped me get over my fear of coasters. I thought my reaction if I didn't like it would be funny. I'm going to Cedar Point next week, and I'm doing everything with the exception of Wilderness Run (since you need to have a kid with you in order to go on.)
You remind me of me when I rode my first looping coaster around 3 weeks ago. I was scared because it was over 60 meters, and also that horrible stomach drop feeling. I rode it and I had fun on it , then I rode it 2 times again 2 days later. A fun time, but weird feeling. Also props to your friend for calming you and making you have a fun thrill of your time. I had nobody else doing that because I knew it was tall, huge, and scary and plus I was trying to conquer the fear. Also if your wondering what coaster I rode, I went to the Big Apple Coaster in Las Vegas, NV.
The look on his face was classic. I don't know how his friend could hold in his laughter. Me , if I was riding this coaster w/my friend and she was terrified I would've literally died laughing 😃 😀 😄.
We all need friends like his friends. So damn wholesome. When his panic stopped and he screamed "this is awesome!" that was so cool. I live right up the street from BG Tampa! World class park.

That guy on the right is the type of friend everyone should have. What a nice young man.
Honestly the best part of a rollercoaster (for me) is at the end the realization that you just rode a terrifying rollercoaster and didn't die.
LOL FRR
So ralateableeee
Me and my wife are watching this hoping we have a son like you. You are a great young man.

You kept checking up on your buddy while you were on the ride yourself too! It shows how selfless and kind you are- Great friend right there.
Those guys cheering him on and telling him what’s coming and what to look for. Those are more then friends those are rly rly good friends
The one friend reminded me of my best friend and made me realize how everyone needs someone who’s always got their back no judgments.
His expression his face and sound at 1:33 made me laugh so much i ended up with my stomache hurting! This was for me the funniest i've seen so far ♡♡♡
i know its commented before... But THIS..... is the definition of true friend. High five for caring! Plus, he ended up loving it!
You sir just created a great memory that will last you a lifetime...Just beautiful and such awesome friends to help you thru.
Taking him on SheiKra for his first ride is brutal 🤣🤣 love it
