This isn’t really their birth, but is at the same time. They had a band named Darlin’, which got a review by a critic of “Daft Punk” and that’s where it really started.
Daft punk released this 25 years ago.
No one knew who they were back then
They worked hard, released 4 albums, made a movie soundtrack and won album of the year when they were 40 NOT 20
They did things that other artist wouldn't do, they kept their plans for music a secret . That's what makes them a legend in the music industry

@@oshin7373 By they don’t listen to this music, like people don’t listen to house music? There many countless people around the world who still love it. It’s definitely not all edm out there, that’s mostly for young American. This record is acid house and many still love that also. And many more love techno. If you like this kind of music you can find others online who do also, and plenty of places for parties. Though it does seem like other styles are unfortunately more popular in the States, like edm and minimal seems popular(also not my style).
90’s electronic music like this has a special feel for me being more warm, creative, not over produced or too digital sounding. Made with analog instruments, and not on a computer. Being at the young age you are I think it’s awesome you are searching for older music like this. I hope 90’s music lives on since I think it was absolutely the best era for house and techno.
@@mick2spic True, I finally found people who make music like this online and we help each other with my music and there music and its all a lot better when I have more time to search for music and people and i have found some pretty great music including acid house which is in my top 3s of favorites. I'm going to try to save up for real equipment so my stuff can sound better and i just overall think I would feel better about my music if it was produced with hardware.
For those that don't know, "The New Wave" is an early version of what would later become the song "Alive," released on their first album 'Homework' in 1997.

well, that was made on 1993, it was their first single using drum machines, equalizer, etc. so yes its repetitive but for that time its good, so they became better and now they make more incredible songs. listen to them homework is like this, with more "changes", discovery kind of Disco house, Human after all IR more "dark". so theres a taste for everyone.

Daft punk are masters at repetition, if you listen to their biggest hits they are also repetitive but they refined their craft so well

I think they just wanted to move on from the pressure and expectations they were faced with by being Daft Punk. They only retired the Daft Punk brand, they will still make music separately and maybe collaborate in the future. Also, I wouldn't be too surprised if we see them together on a stage again, without the helmets. That would be insane and people would go nuts.
So basically now they're no longer Daft Punk; they're Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. That's the only thing that changed.
I say for your sake don't expect another joint performance. Thomas has tinnitus meaning he's really unlikely to perform.

Some of the Daft Punk - New Wave song sounds like the background track in Daft Punk - Alive from the Homework album. They just took this song, added some more details and made a whole new song that sounds totally Amazing different. That's God Damn Genius!
dude... "the New Wave" track IS actually "alive" from Homework... Alive is actually fearured in this same album called "The New Wave" and I believe it is called "the new Wave final mix"... it is a mix, we all know that... New fans are like "woha, that's genius"

it was only released on soma records, the very first label that dp was signed to. this song is LONG gone in their catalogs, implying soma is still around. this picture shows the underground music movement release, and UMM was a division of soma.

Yeah, if you listen to the beginning of superheroes, you can hear the kinda raspy noise that sorta sounds echoey, if you know what I mean. it's hard to explain. In fact, I came to listen to this song because I was listening to superheroes and it reminded me of this

Daft Punk - Prologue
'Alive' was the final mix of 'The New Wave'. Released in 1992/1993. Alive is the first song of Daft Punk wich is put on 'Homework' in1996. Daft punk's Second single was Da Funk wich was released in 1995. (contains a side-song Called 'Musqiue' wich you can find on the 'Musique 1993-2005 Album. It was released in 2006)
Rollin' n' scratchin' was actually the song that was on the b side of the original pressing from 1995.

Personally daft punks first two albums, Homework and Discovery, are my favorite.

ALIVE 2007
Discovery is easily their best album; they put so much work into it. My personal favorite is Random Access Memories, but that's just me. Alive 2007 was just amazing, but personally I prefer Alive 1997. Homework is mostly very good, but Rollin' and Scratchin' and Rock 'n' Roll just kill my ears. Tron: Legacy was good, but nowhere near as good as the others. Lastly, Human After All is not very good, but sometimes it is nice to listen to.

RAM is just a track to show there love of disco I think. I think disco is what created daft punk into the EDM phase. As long as there not producing the same sounding music. There like evolve with every different album. They try new things which is great.

Alive is based on this song indeed,bass-line as good as the same .I'm old enough to remember this song,was 16 when Acid music(and acid :-) and New Beat kicked in.Still very fond of house music,except the very commercial stuff offcourse.
