May i say some very nice music.
Thank you very much :)
bloody hell 483004 u good bud?
Is that train track open?
No currently closed no date for opening yet
Ok!
Oh dear!! Look at the state of it!! The graffiti vandals appear to have paid a return visit since it received its undercoat application. Okay to paint over again I guess, but how about the windows? I expect the next time we see it, it'll be looking much better again..??
todays society is rubbish, no respect for anything, thank god i am 68, but why was this train left in the open
@@petersmith4455 It was used for spares after being withdrawn in 2019.
hi why was this train left out in the open ? its going to take a lot of hard work to put this right, what do the police have to say ? little johnny has had a hard life so we cant do anything i suppose. 1950s national service is the answer
Because there was no space inside Ryde Depot for storage with the 484 there plus 007 now at Havenstreet.
Can not believe there could be such vandals on the Isle of Wight.
Believe it! There are some real brain dead low lifes over here, its not as wonderful as you think it is !
@@camperp195 Is it true that some of them have webbed feet?
What did you mean by leaving for Holliers? Is it going to the old village?
With the scheme to position 004 on a disused bit of track at Brading Station in tatters, it appears that a new home has been found for it at Holliers Park in Branstone in the Arreton Valley on the island.
@@ianmcclavin ok, well I guess that isn’t too far away. Does anyone know why the Brading plan went pear shaped? You would think that if anyone had the ability to store an old train, southern rail would.
@@TheMattlockyer I think the council raised objections for some reason, something also to do with the upkeep and maintenance of it there. A pity, as there is a third platform face there, which wasn't involved in the recent redoubling scheme (still grass, no track, but that wouldn't have been a problem). it'll be interesting to see what they do with it at Holliers now; it certainly needs another repaint, and that roof's in pretty dire condition (superficially at least) too! but at least it's another one NOT going to the scrapyard!!
A far cry from the days of it hammering into St John's Wood in London though, or Camden Town, Paddington, Elephant & Castle or Tooting Broadway!! I wonder what the chaps who built it would have said if someone had suggested to them at the time that one day it would finish up as a cafe on the Isle of Wight!!
@@ianmcclavin yes,, the idea that it would still be around and sentimentally lived 80 years later must have been inconceivable back then.
I don’t know the Holliers site on Hale Common. That seems a bit out of the way to be financially viable as a cafe business but still a better option than the scrap yard. I hope it works out well for them.
At Brading Station it would have been open to yet more graffitti.
Another video ruined by unnecessary 'music'. Strewth!
Thank you for your comment, sorry you didn’t like the music!
What was it about the music can I ask. ?
I agree. Good video ruined by distracting music. I had to mute it. Just don't do funky music for this kind of video. It really doesn't need it.
Thank you for your comment and feedback I will change this for future videos :)
That’s fine if you don’t like the music but if he what’s music he can it is his video
@@photographyrue Raucous and 'forced jollity' music is maybe suitable for a 'funny cat' video, but completely out of place here. If you must use music find something quieter and atmospheric. For railway videos, many of us would far prefer the background audio track, not music or even narration.
