My biggest hope for AI when it comes to liminal spaces is getting to explore them in VR and AI will randomly generate it and we can randomly find ourselves in new levels, and there's always something new to explore.
Well, uh, hold onto your socks, buddy, because there's a decent chance you're already living IN something pretty close to what you're describing. ;) It's just that, this particular MMORPG, Earth, requires internal consistency so a playerbase this big can navigate it without us all going insane. But yeah, for individuals or small parties, a mini liminal world sounds absolutely plausible. Easy-peasy. I give it two years before we see it.
Make a: Choose your own adventure video. Video moves in and then stops with it showing 3 direction to choose from (click to move to that video in which the camera simply zooms in and a new image is generated)
it's refreshing to finally have someone use ai as a creative tool and for fun, it's tiring and very unfortunate to see how the technology is being misused, especially in recent times.
As soon as AI image generation became a thing in 2021... The very FIRST thing I thought of was generating images of liminal spaces (once image generations became good enough to be convincing) and make a narrative adventure as I explore them like urban exploration videos of abandoned buildings. Narrate it like "Here was the entrance hall, and through the entrance hall was this hallway. There was a lot of rubble on the floor, I could hear broken glass crunching beneath my shoes so I made sure to step very carefully." The fact that this is now possible is just getting me all kinds of excitedly giddy. Maybe now I can finally make this dream of mine become a reality; to make urban exploration documentaries on random liminal spaces and narrate them past-tense as if I was actually there recording my experiences. What. A. Time.
The first image generator i think was made in 2008 and it generated crap quality pictures of like only 100 object types with a training data of 10 images per type
Man, I can’t wait until we have some kind of tactile-VR setup where you can feel as though you’re physically wandering around! And heck yeah for the video of the computer lab; it sure made for an awesome shirt 👍
This... is... INSANE!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE AI WENT TO A POINT OF DOING LIMINAL SPACES WALKTHROUGH VIDEOS! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! PLEASE, MAKE MORE VIDEOS OF THOSE!
That's so amazing! I'd love to see an AI liminal space exploration video. I know such a thing would take a while to craft, but certainly, the end product would be invigorating. It would blend nostalgia of the early backrooms found footage days with computer generated anemoia. Your work is appreciated, my friend.😊
oly MOLY liminal AI is feeding the cinema enjoyers with this one. I was literally about to comment that idk if the technology is at the level yet to do ai liminal explorations and then your subtle foreshadowing turned out to be not subtle and you just DID IT!! Can't wait for more
I do hope you keep playing around with the tech, as your one of a few people that ends up using it in an actual cool way. Really cool to slowly see Liminal spaces slowly be brought to life. Maybe once the tech gets good enough and you feel able enough you can take a spin at trying to give life to some lesser shown backroom levels (really anything beyond the first one). Partly cause it would be nice for other levels to get attention, and partly as to respect backrooms found footage films.
dude, thank you for posting. I know that regular posts of these qualitive videos take time and a shit ton of effort, but know that we see it. Thanks again for this diligent work, it's truly inspiring and I will always be addicted to your content.
When Dreamcore releases in a few days, you should do a livestream of it. If you played it before, the first level is 150% bigger, and a second level is going to be added (with additional content in level 2 on the way, per the developer).
highway + shopping mall = parking garage? yeah i guess that tracks. walk to the door. walks through the desks. :p I like blizzardy winter scenes. Kinda like how you see the classic gas station sometimes. But I like the kinda "it's night but there's enough lights from street lamps and businesses and things to light up the sky" look where everything glows and you can clearly see by light, but there's enough snow blowing around that there is still not much to see far in front of you other than street lamps and lights from homes and/or businesses. It would be nice to see generated scenes like this if it's possible. It's so cozy to see it snowy and cold outside, but you know it's warm and cozy inside. Especially if it's apartment buildings or maybe hotels or something. The idea of a group of people all together and safe and keeping warm.
Love this. I’ve been enjoying recraft. Most of mine were stable diffusion but lately mostly recraft. Still have to figure out discord though. Love all your videos.
Huh. It seems to not understand that water sprays and light beams are two different things. Maybe it knows something we don't. Let's ask the sun if light is a liquid.
Day 2: of asking to see a port with (obvious) cranes set at night or foggy morning I loved the new video I can wait to see how far we can take liminal spaces with ai keep up the good work mr liminal ai
I think AI in general is pretty overhyped right now, and tech companies are sticking it in all sorts of places it doesn't belong. But this specifically is really cool. Making uncanny places that are almost but not quite right is definitely something AI excels at.
Ive been using recraft ai for image generating but there’s no feature that I know of to convert an existing photo and turn it into 16:9 ? How are you getting that feature? Are you on PC? Recraft also doesn’t have blend photos feature like mid journey
@@liminalai thanks It’s pretty easy, I tried the desktop version today but I found when converting to 16:9 some details in the picture get distorted. Gonna stick to 1:1 for now til it gets better. but I’m surprised how fast genAi is getting good for liminal spaces
I've been watching your channel since the early dreambooth days! I used to be called Linkram! I would like to suggest: Mixing a kids ride section in a mall with a Minecraft liminal space picture

sounds like The Matrix
@skybox4765 Yeah
Same Here.
@TheLonelyGamer_17 the only thing to come close to this is poolrooms video game, I’m not sure if there’s VR mode tho

the highway + shop ones were great
I'd like to see The Oldest View staircase combined with some classic liminal spaces

I approve this message
This is one of the coolest videos I've seen on UA-cam in a while.
Glad you think so!

Great stuff, very nice!!!

That last segment was absolutely brutal
That liminal space was goin thru it

I don't like the use of Ai to replace real art, but this... this is pretty cool
We got AI liminal space generator before GTA 6

keep watching for a preview!

Means a lot to me thank you
Yes, I would absolutely enjoy a full liminal exploration video. Something with snow, perhaps? One of those spaces that blends indoors and outdoors?
I like that idea

Nothing beats liminal ai on a snowy night, can we get Eye of Rah liminal space? Or maybe a liminal property in Egypt?
That sounds cozy
@@liminalai very cozy
1:18 You might cheat by slowly zooming🔎🖼 into a image and then generating a new sequence from there.
Anyways whatever you do It will be appreciated

I have a suggestion: combine a photo of a liminal foggy grass field with the Ryugyong Hotel skycraper in North Korea!
no way, I crave for surreal dimensions, yall know it's peak when a false reality can be explored 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Love these videos!! Keep it up!
Request:
Street tunnels at night combined with a blue desert
Why is there a FORD in the liminal house 🏠

I really like the slideshow videos more bc I can screenshot but this is cool too
bro show us how you were walking inside the luminal space 😱
😎
you should combine old sonic maps with classic liminal spaces
you should do more videos like the one at the end!
Non Euclidean maze similar to an Escher painting.
This is what AI was built for.
Can you make an updated tutorial? this is amazing
I am high.
"This is on a shirt in the merch store."
