Did Sir Alonne just go light speed? 14:30 Such power... Imagine this guy on a battlefield. If he can travel 100ft in 1 second, 15:24, then that means that he can travel 1 mile in 52.8 seconds. So if he ran/dashed for 1 hour then he could travel over 60 miles. Sir Alonne travels at 60 miles an hour.... HOLY SHIT!!!!!
@17:17 it's not actually lag, if you turn the volume up you can hear the knight say(as he sheaths his sword): "Banana! Don't you remember me? We took a class together." that's why they didn't move. There was no lag, they were just catching up.
Thing is sir alonne has such high slash defense that it would be useless to use a katana on him ...youre supposed to go 1v1 wih a hammer cause smash damage is strong against him ...i mean by all means people can use slash weapons but itll take significantly longer to kill him haha
***** my god that would be amazing however lore wise I dont think they wouldve ever met haha artorias had an ambition to save the world from darkness and alonne seemed like the wanering samurai type of guy who was suddenly knighted he probably banged the old kings wife haahahah
While i would love to help you by being summoned (we could have spun this bastard to death :/ alas i have it only on PS3), i will help you out with some tips instead. 1. DO NOT let him command stab you. That move he does not only obviously does ridiculous damage, but it also buffs his weapon to do even more damage to you. As someone already mentioned below, you want to just dodge all his attack rather than blocking them. 2. You need to be agile. Get yourself to under 50% equip load any way you can. You should be swimming in Human Effigies honestly, so you dont really need that ring of life protection, its just taking up a slot that could be used for either the soldier ring which ups your equip load or the cloranthy ring which gives you better stamina regen. Hell any other ring would be better. If you are worried about souls, spend them before attempting the area. Any souls you get by getting to the boss are not worth trying to save. What you can do is wear the life protection ring till you get to the boss, and take it off before going in. 3. lastly, banana needs to change. Sir alonne is resistant to all types of magic, like REALLY resistant. Buffs to weapons are fine, but not just straight up magic. You would be better off trying it alone then having Banna their to add to his life and not do damage. He might also be capable of being poisoned. I didnt try that, but it might help you. From what ive looked up, it doesnt mention that he cant be poisoned. A poisoned infused Red Iron Twinblade usually gets the job done pretty quickly when poisoning, due to its many quick hits. Thats all from me. Good Luck!
MikuRockShooter what do you mean block less he didnt block or dodge he sat there like a new guy who doesnt know how to evade or block and said "f*ck you sir alonne" or "Bananna kill him"
Also for anyone wondering for a good way to defeat bosses (especially helps if you're a phantom) as a cleric strength build use Denial from the first DLC and now you can be a good distraction for the master without the worry of dying or be the master and know you won't die so easily.
I don't recall seeing you use the sprint+attack and I think that is useful in some situations, for instance, when you approach the boss from behind running instead of stopping to use normal attacks
Ull need to transform into a stamina tank, use dark resist light shield and ring, the fume knights armor is light and tough, get it from the guy who sells the jester hat. If you manage to keep your loadout under 45% youll roll further and walk quicker. Get a soul vessel and think about high dex, medium to high str, good bunch of health equal stamina, fuck equip load fuck anything related to magic, youll need to pump up adaptability at least to 35. Oh and use a katana.
If you kill sir alonne within 5 minutes, without losing health, he will perform seppuku (he will cut his own stomach with his sword) - read that from the wiki
This guys dosn't get as much attention as he needs to this guy is amazingly funny his commentary is hilarious lol! sounds like your listen to the thoughts of the character lol XD sub! and the music he uses lol really good you can tell the effort he puts in these videos
If I can suggest something, Throthgar, I would say try to do this fight on your own because Sir Alonne's health becomes ridiculous if you summon phantoms. Also, I would suggest using a shield that boosts stamina regeneration and trying to dodge all of his attacks rather than block them. Lastly, try two-handing a weapon with lightning damage.
I warned you, didn't I? I would say to try it alone to avoid all the lag, plus the co-op makes bosses tougher, but since Throthgar hasn't got the bravery to do it anymore, I think you're going to have a hard time to do it in co-op efficiently. Should you need a bit of advice in Dark Souls 2, just gimme a Shout. You get it, 'Dragonborn'? (I actually haven't seen Throthgar shout once in Skyrim.) Correct me if I am mistaken. Thank you.
Complaining about fighting dudes in armor in a medieval style dark fantasy game is akin to complaining that you kill nothing but soldiers in a military FPS. No one's favorite boss in Dark Souls was a creature boss. Ask anyone who their favorite boss was in Dark 1 and they'll tell you it's a dude in armor. see O&S, Artorias, Gwyn . And the reason is most of the creature bosses in Dark 1 weren't that great, thus making the dude in armor bosses look even better by comparison. Some of their designs were cool, but the actual fights were dull as hell and just feel like filler. Manus and Kalameet are probably the only exceptions. People only remember Belfry Gargoyles because they were the noob killer for anyone who didn't play Demon's Souls since the boss they were based on was a much tougher and threatening fight. Dark Souls 1 had weak creature bosses overall. Demon's Souls handled them a LOT better. So in Dark Souls 2 they stuck with what they did well from the Dark 1, ie dudes in armor. It only makes sense to me that they would do that.
+Bytesize Grizzly Very well said sir. Gets ridiculous listening to people complain about fighting knights in a castle keep in the king's realm i mean WTF!!! Banana logic at it's finest!
Personally, i feel as if they couls have reduced the amount of bosses in a suit of armor and got a bit more creative with creature bosses as well. I loved the Gaping Dragon from Dark Souls because of the music and the feeling of dread while fighting it. Others like Sinh and Ancient Dragon didnt feel appealing though. it was nice they gave Sinh a toxic attack though. My list of favorite creature bosses in dark souls were kalameet, manus, gaping dragon, ceaseless discharge, and the Taurus Demon
Humanoid bosses is pretty much my favorite but Dark Souls 2 made me get tired of that. I don't know.....its just...boring. Though Sir Alonne was good. Oh and the only creature boss I find amazing was Ludwig.
People like gold when it's rare and less abundant, if it were everywhere no one would care, no one would like it. Fewer the knight bosses the more unique and memorable they are unlike dark souls 2 where they are everywhere, boring, stale, bad boss design, no lore and are very easy
The Faraam set used to look so awesome, in dark souls 3 it looks like a fat old soldier. you have to make your character skinny to make it look a little like it used too.
+ORBrunner and you are blind and quick to jump to game's defense like a fuckboy fanboy. how original. i made one observation about 1 armor set and you generalized that to my whole opinion about the game (which is my favorite of the series just so your stupid ass knows).
Mundus I am not defend it first of all, and secondly i am just sick of bla-bla how the 2nd is superior in every way than 3d without mentioning how horrible DS2 was at launch. Also you act as a frustrated schoolboy considering all offences you made in my adress. Cool down, boy.
you're an assclown, in no way did i ever say that the second one was better or that i didn't like the third one. also you call me frustrated when you state that you are sick of people saying 2 was better, who's the frustrated schoolboy? the one who makes a simple observation about 1 of the mane armor sets in the game, or the one who takes that as the opinion about the whole game because he's tired (frustrated) about people shit talking ds3.
I would live to help if I still not trying to help people get through to the fume knight boss. Really though 40+ host and I only 3 survive to beat the boss. Jesus this going to take forever.
@14:18"Your magic is doing nothing banana!" Banana: *Responds with gibberish* (This must be some sorta running joke I don't get) Whatever the case, the comment was funny. "Fuck you sir alonne I rolled past that laggy shit move" *I cracked up* I got caught by him once or twice.. like this. Anyways, this boss, in my opinion was one of the easiest bosses of the DLC content so far. The reason being was his attack patterns (only fucking dark souls makes me think this way and its not good.. because when I start thinking hardcore strategy funs out the fucking window) are really straight forward, except for that spearing attack he's got, where he pierces you and does a power up, he kinda sneaks that one in and its not an always obvious "tell" he gives. At least he's not like the smelter demon and cheaply powering up byhimself though, which is good, or the fume knight... this is the only good thing. Anyways I beat him on my second try just by a combination of turtleing and two handing my weapon. The Crypt Blacksword+5 seems to work half way decent on him. This is a fight you don't want to try and be to aggressive in... just poke and watch your stamina. I'd help but... xbox 360 edition.. *Shrugs*
Need to get some better internet there Throthgar. Internet that isn't ran by a bunch of good for nothing Bananas..... Bananas have little to no honor and the most elementary of internet technology!
Theyve given these dlc bosses faaaaar too much health. And I dont like how alonne can move so fast. In solo it makes healing impossible. However I really like the boss armours an weapons.
Jesus! No wonder you've ran out of all patience. That instant full-arena dash is utter bullshit, especially when the game is that laggy. Pffft, I can't volunteer. I played for like 10 minutes and was done, 'cause I got killed by the bitch at the start of the game with a ladle. A lowly kitchen wench was able to take me out with a ladle when I came at her with a blade. I called shenanigans on that one and gave up. Not only that, I couldn't play because I was so used to the music you use for your vids that I was expecting to hear some of that music when I played. You can imagine my disappointment that the death-by-kitchen-bitch wasn't accompanied with the typical death music you use, just the dry, dull silence of my body crumbling to dust.
Imirik Crimsonfang In case you forgot, this is DARK SOULS. If you don't expect a maid with a ladle to be able to kick your ass, then this is not a game for you. And what are you talking about lag? The only time I get lag is in multiplayer when I or my opponent have netflix or something running at the same time.
Fair enough the game's not for everyone, which is what I usually say to people who have given up because of the Pursuer, or the Ruin Sentinels, but a lady with a ladle? and even if you did succeed in defeating the women and the elderly, you'd rack up enough sin to warrant a visit from the Blue Sentinels.
NightBot Ban Great example, Ur-Dragon from Dragon's Dogma did something very similar on a bit smaller of a scale. 5-10 players agaisn't an epic boss sounds reasonable
DeeM10123 Dark Souls isn't Dragon's Dogma. Imagine 10 players beating on Kalameet or Sihn. Or even the Ancient Dragon. Their lifebars would diminish in seconds.
Neat boss, mostly because of the speed-kendo moves. Tell me this: why is this game made by Japanese, but all of the enemies are drawn from Western myth and fantasy, even the katana-wielding enemies?!?
They killed the game with that magic nerf crusade of theirs. Removing diversity and creativity from a game is horrible design. The only "viable" builds are melee-focused, now. Everyone uses the same crap - it's no longer a game, but an exercise in patience and a cash-sink for Fromsoft. The first month of the game's release was the best - no mods/hackers, plenty of online players to connect, and everything was viable. Sure, there were some bugs, but at least the game was FUN.
TheVercingetorix07 or maybe you just need to figure out how to use spells properly instead of spamming the shit out of them, if you think the nerf is so bad that you think spells are useless, then you obviously dont know how to use spells properly.
Voldebutt I played this game when everything was viable and it was great. DSII is nothing but a sword-swinging simulator. Combat between players consists of simply trading sword/club blows until someone gets killed, parried, or runs out of estus. Either way, the game is shadow of its former self. I played and mastered the game up to NG+4 with a pure INT build. I stayed clear of melee combat because it was so boring. The game as it stands now dictates to players what they have to use to have any chance online or on NG+ and beyond.
***** I sold my copy before the magic nerf because I was done with the game and felt that the game was balanced as it was. When the nerfs were spoiled, I wasn't going to wait for any DLC because the game, for me, after the patch, died at that point. There is no creativity left in this game as a result. Magic is not viable anymore - you are in denial. As I said previously, I am here for Tyrannicon's commentary. The DLC is subpar at best. Ornstein v1.5 = "Sir Alonne" Not Impressed at all.
TheVercingetorix07 I disagree with you. Magic is still very viable. I have a magic built and my pvp kill-death ratio is about 55-45. The only built that gives me trouble are the faith infinite buff builts which are the most broken shit, hence everyone uses them. But magic is nice and balanced in my opinion. It was slightly too powerful when the game first got released but now it is really fun to use.
Sir Alonne has gotten powers beyond comprehension
Did Sir Alonne just go light speed? 14:30 Such power... Imagine this guy on a battlefield. If he can travel 100ft in 1 second, 15:24, then that means that he can travel 1 mile in 52.8 seconds. My favorite part: "Let go of my banana!!" LOL
I lost it at 15:10 - LET GO OF MY BANANA!!
Let go of my banana. ROTFL.
White Antelope Ikr, Sir Alonne is just like: Nope, this banana is mine to eat now!
This would be the ultimate 1v1 man-battle if you went shieldless with a katana vs Sir Alonne. Shit... now I want the DLC...
Thing is sir alonne has such high slash defense that it would be useless to use a katana on him ...youre supposed to go 1v1 wih a hammer cause smash damage is strong against him ...i mean by all means people can use slash weapons but itll take significantly longer to kill him haha
Sir Alonne is the ultimate honor duel.
rgbcgroup and to think every boss you fight isnt in their prime ...he was probably 100 times more dangerous in his younger years
MrMilkyCoco
You know what I'd love to see? A battle between Artorias in his prime and Sir Alonne.
***** my god that would be amazing however lore wise I dont think they wouldve ever met haha artorias had an ambition to save the world from darkness and alonne seemed like the wanering samurai type of guy who was suddenly knighted he probably banged the old kings wife haahahah
14:32 The way he dashed at Banana was, for some reason, comical as hell.

"Let go of my Banana!" Gosh, that sounded so wrong xD
Also for anyone wondering for a good way to defeat bosses (especially helps if you're a phantom) as a cleric strength build use Denial from the first DLC and now you can be a good distraction for the master without the worry of dying or be the master and know you won't die so easily.
Hello Tyrannicon, thanks for all these videos, you're the best keep up the good work :)
Dinogharr Cheers!
I just can't help but laugh when you know he's gonna charge you and you still die. Sir Alonne is awesome
"LET GO OF MY BANANA" Must say I laughed my butt off.
banana was never lagging just walking in the tail grass nothing a bit of repels cant fix
Sir Alonne has a death animation if you bow to him before the fight.
I don't recall seeing you use the sprint+attack and I think that is useful in some situations, for instance, when you approach the boss from behind running instead of stopping to use normal attacks
Most of the soundtrack he's using is from the game Shadow of Rome if someone's wondering.
We're not expecting much from you, Steel-willed Lorrie... lol
Alwayz a pleasure to see you in Rage Mode....cheers from france
You've got a lot of balls attempting this boss with a greatsword
so awesome how Sir Alonne speeds past at 14:31
Oh my god Sir Alonne a true samurai dodges two attacks like it's nothing o_o
he reminds me a lot of my favorite boss in Dark souls 1 , artorias the abyss walker
When you get into the fight, you will immediately notice how different they really are.
Ull need to transform into a stamina tank, use dark resist light shield and ring, the fume knights armor is light and tough, get it from the guy who sells the jester hat. If you manage to keep your loadout under 45% youll roll further and walk quicker.

What was the music playing in the first half of the video? I know I've heard it before but I can't quite place it...
Sir Alonne was one of the few gems in this DLC
Do the frog like the knights? Why do they like the knights? Haha love it!!
The Deemonn of Reckless Lag strikes
"Got to get back, back to the past Samurai Jack" XD
Classic Throthgar always a good time
If you kill sir alonne within 5 minutes, without losing health, he will perform seppuku (he will cut his own stomach with his sword) - read that from the wiki
Sir Alonne is truly a worthy foe, but in the end Throthgar will win because he is a stalwart hero!
This guys dosn't get as much attention as he needs to this guy is amazingly funny his commentary is hilarious lol! sounds like your listen to the thoughts of the character lol XD sub! and the music he uses lol really good you can tell the effort he puts in these videos

"Lightning Strikes!" That is da BEST!!

this one if so funny and good soundtrack
"Let go of my banana"
Tip: be light and roll backwards.
Bro idk why but everytime this nigga banana talks he be having me dying laughing yo this nigga banana is funny as shit best side kick ever lol
Try using using the Demon Greathammer. If you have the stats for it.
That Sir Alonne could use a good dose of stasis!
You know what? I love this boss even though I have not beaten him yet. BTW use lightning weapons. Plain physical damage does squat.
I'd help but... ps3 master race sorry
lol yup same here XD
haha yeh
High five!
PS! PS! PS! PS!
PC is the one true master race
Sir alonne commits seppku if he does not manage to land a single blow on you while you get his hp down to like 10%, thats kinda cool
It's if you don't heal.
Adithya R Are you illiterate fuckboy? You can get hit just dont heal. Not the same thing.
Do a duel bow as soon as you enter and you can get him to die in a special animation
No thats not how you do it. You have to kill him within 3 Minutes without taking damage
I would be glad to help but I'm on xbox and my character hasn't reached sir alonne yet

Is it true that if you fight Sir Allone without healing he'll do that Samurai stabbing himself for honor near the end of his health?
Think you have to beat him in 5 minutes or less without taking damage.
i would be willing to help. level 230 NG+ faith build. already beat alonne.

I'll gladly help you out. Tell us what your soul Memory level is so I know which player to bring in. Me and a buddy killed him easily.

tt'd be awesome in Dark Souls if you could raise an army of 10+{ players to massacre bosses like these
No, that would be horrid.
NightBot Ban Elaborate
The series are renowned for their difficulty. How would 10+ players gangbanging a boss affect that?
NightBot Ban Great example, Ur-Dragon from Dragon's Dogma did something very similar on a bit smaller of a scale. 5-10 players agaisn't an epic boss sounds reasonable
DeeM10123 Dark Souls isn't Dragon's Dogma. Imagine 10 players beating on Kalameet or Sihn. Or even the Ancient Dragon. Their lifebars would diminish in seconds.
Don't tell me it's not a great fucking boss?
Banana's downloading porn.
Neat boss, mostly because of the speed-kendo moves. Tell me this: why is this game made by Japanese, but all of the enemies are drawn from Western myth and fantasy, even the katana-wielding enemies?!?
I can help with Alonne!
Are you on P.C or Xbox Tyrannicon?
Sethnotasithsr PC for this playthrough, completed the Xbox version when it came out in March.
i can help tyrannicon,im on PC
I volunteer
I feel they purposely made magic kinda useless in the dlcs they want you to go man mode on the enemies in these dlcs lol
Voldebutt
I played this game when everything was viable and it was great.
*****
I sold my copy before the magic nerf because I was done with the game and felt that the game was balanced as it was. Ornstein v1.5 = "Sir Alonne" Not
Impressed at all.
Get Boss Sword
banana is such a useless accomplice lol. he fails to realise his magic does little to no damage at all.
