  • Blix Sol Eclipse 29 mile range test in pedal assist 4 and 5. Not too impressed at all. Battery went dead after 29 miles. The display still showed 3 bars. I was riding on flat surface and very little throttle used.
I will do another range test in pedal assist 3 on a 29 mile ride and see how the battery does.

You won't get that many miles on most ebikes in assist level 4 or 5.
I have a $5,000 ebike. It gets 20 miles in the top assist mode and about 50 miles in the lowest mode.

Thanks for the info. I think the battery is under sized at 48 volt and 12.8 AH

@@ebikenation my $6000 ebike has the same size battery. You can buy cheap ebikes with more range if range is your primary goal. There are a few decent ebikes with a 100+ mile range but they are tanks.
The vast majority of people who buy ebikes don't ride more than 2 hours in one session. That's why most bikes have 500 Watt hour batteries.
I have a friend who bought a Liv brand ebike this week that has a 550 W-hr battery but for another $500 she added a 250 W-hr water bottle cage battery to extend range.
      Batteries are expensive.
