Thank you Laura! Love watching the transformations. We had a hail storm here in Butte County that damaged so many of my succulents. Little by little I’ve been redoing my pots. Your information is very helpful.😊

To paraphrase: Don't put your sedum in the middle of the arrangement, or you won't be able to sedum.
I do enjoy your "old school" pot maintenance and resetting videos! Thanks for taking us along on this one.

Oh yeah!!!!!! Cut, detritus and reset! When you were getting at the detritus I so missed the sound of the pea gravel you had in your old garden. I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about ❤ thanks for the video! I loved it!

It's lovely. I'm curious how one waters this bowl of succulents? I've seen people use syringes to get in close to the soil. Is that necessary?

This video is perfect timing for me with a badly overgrown pot. I was just waiting for the bees to finish with the flowers. Also I was wondering about the aeoniums not growing since they are summer dormant, but I'll try it. Thanks for the help.

Learn from my mistake... Perlite rises to the top of the soil in ground gardens. Pumice is better.

How timely! I have almost all of my succulents in containers, and just this morning refreshed a couple of very large ones at my front steps. That looks like Kellogg product in the bag by you. I love their things! It's an old family-owned company originally in Southern CA. Their corporate office is still in the area where I used to pass on my way home when I worked in the South Bay area.

This was so helpful! I’m not very good with succies but I enjoy playing around with them every summer even tho I live in Maryland. I’ve tried growing the potted and pruned back succies and didn’t like the result so maybe I should just be ok with throwing the bottom part out like you did.

Always make sure potting mix is moist when handling fresh from the bag. Dry potting a big no no as it contains pathogens disease when dry.

Do You set your scraps, unwanted plant remnants, beside the road/driveway for free? I love that some people do that, in certain areas. Or the little boxes, on a stilt, nthat can be free libraries or food donations boxes... I've saw where some people have made these community boxes & they will put their cuttings or seeds they don't want in there for someone else, and sometimes they trade with others in their community. So everyone benefits and the plants continue to be utilized and appreciated. With no waste or very little. 🪷🪴🌵
I live in WV and unfortunately have never witnessed these donations personally. But I wish I could!!
