Let's use what we've learned 7:31
FIRST
You could mention that not every chord is major or minor, if you make triad on 7th note of major scale it makes diminished chord, which is rarely used, if you make that chord into 7th chord it makes half diminished chord, if you make 7th chord on 5th note of major scale (which you did in the video) it makes dominant chord which is used to make tension and wont always sound good in melodies. For beginners it can be confusing when they make chord and it doesn't sound good. Except that video is perfect and has everything you should know about chords (also i learned to make chords first time because of your lo-fy tutorial xD)
In terms of how much this helps me, this is like teaching a monkey banging rocks together how to carve a statue out of marble, thanks so much!
Wow, a youtube music tutorial thats too the point and actively useful.
Thanks dood!
Bro you're 100 times better than my school teachers ❤️🔥✌🏼I'm so greatful to you...I learned lot of things from you ❤️✌🏼
This video was so much more helpful than my years of music theory
1000% Agree
Thanks for the breakdown! I've been studying a lot of this stuff, but it was never broken down as simply as this. Really helped connect the dots.
I love how you make everything seem so simple. Love it
You really helped me a lot, Thank you!
This is great man
Thx for the video again!
Priceless!
This is great!!
Great video! Some good advice though for when you start using different chord voicings is to write down what the chords are. Reason this is a good idea is because if your DAW crashes you can keep track of what you liked and when you start arranging chords Into different voicings you can easily loose track of what they are. Especially with adding more instruments like bass because you will find that the extensions of a chord or notes that are not the 5th or root don't always sound good and you either want to ignore them entirely or only play then a little bit. There are cases were some chords can even sound like or look like another chord. This is a little more complicated music theory but for example a B half diminished chord can be a different voicing for a Dminor 6 chord for example so you can think "wait, why does that sound like a D minor chord when I'm playing a B diminished?"
thx bro
I made a song using your tutorials :) I'm now trying to make it sound better with fx on the master track, do you have tips about how to master your track?
