Public buildings are not public places, they are private places. The DWP policy states quite clearly that you need authorisation to record. Insulting staff even in a private place is a public order offence.

What a sausage you are quoting irrelevant bits of legislation and saying it’s law. S33 applies to wearing of uniforms in a public place and defines public place for that purpose only.

It's a big problem with most security companies. They give their employees the most basic of training then turn them loose on the public. And when some knowledgeable civillian puts them in their place, dummy's get spat out and toys get thrown from the pram. All that "hard bravado" that they are taught ends up around their ankles and all that's left is the small insecure person that thought a job in security would alleviate a lasting anxiety that has plagued them from their days at school when their heads were being flushed in the piss stained toilets. :)

If you want to get their body worn camera footage I strongly suggest that you ask for it asap as when an G4S goon assaulted me they suddenly decided to delete footage a lot sooner than was usual.

I was In a job centre yeeaars ago and I remember seeing a security guard punch a claimant that wouldn't leave the premises. He only hit the guy once the police was there. As far as I remember it was just the one cop. The station is just across the road. The guy didn't seem aggressive I'm not sure what was happening exactly but I think they had sanctioned him or something qnd he seemed really desperate. The guy looked at everyone asking for a witness. I'm ashamed to say no one spoke up for him. I was up to sign on any minute. Plus you know those lot would f@ck me up in some way. It pississ me off thinking back on it.
