  • The quickest way to build concentrated levels of functional muscle mass is by mind-muscle connection, body control, isolation through integration and proper time under tension - all principles covered in Athlete 20XX.
The reason why it's quick is not because this is a magical way to speed up the rate of your protein synthesis but because you start doing the right things from the get-go.
This tends to speed up things a little bit.
A lot of your muscles don't see growth simply because you're not properly engaging and targeting them. A muscle that is thoroughly worked has no chance but to grow. Yet, the vast majority of people don't have the know-how and skills to achieve this. I see people training poorly even after 20 years of “experience”.
In Athlete 20XX Method, you will learn how to inflict the most accurate stimulus on the targeted muscles and how to intensify the force of contraction for maximal growth and development.
These training principles will teach you about mind-muscle connection, isolation through integration, time under tension, body awareness and setting of the intention, form and posture.
It has nothing to do with lifting heavy. Many people have been able to grow substantial amounts of muscle to their entire frame with Athlete 20XX.
The gains will not only be concentrated on the biggest visible muscles of your body. Thanks to the heavy emphasis on stability, fine control of the joints and comprehensive exercise selection even the smallest supportive muscles get their fair share of hypertrophy and much-needed strengthening.
This internal methodology can be applied to get better results from any exercise and you can easily adjust how intensely you want to work your body with it. To this day, the Athlete 20XX method helps me to build muscle, mobility and strength anywhere I want or need in my body.
Sure, you can build bulk by throwing around heavy weight as well but we are about building muscles in a way that prevents and fixes joint injuries and promotes universal athleticism regardless of your shape and genetic makeup.
In short, the best way to build muscle in the shortest amount of time is to not waste years in the gym without proper methodology.
For example, in the beginning I did pull ups for for a long time and my back was still underdeveloped because I was pulling so much with my arms. Once I learned how to target the area, it started growing.
Likewise, Samuli grew his shoulders and especially rear delts to a great extent with Athlete 20XX.
Most people finally see considerable growth in their shoulders and legs after proper training methodology. There are no stubborn body parts, only body parts you don’t know how to emphasize.
Feed your body with optimal stimulus and your muscles will respond accordingly.
PS. Training the muscles is one thing. Another thing is to eat enough and eat properly for the perfect body composition. The diet part can be more important but without training you won't build muscle.

I broke my left hand and wrist 1.5 years ago, had 6 surgeries and it still does not work. Can you recommend what I can do to best get it functioning again? I can't flatten my palm and fingers, I can't close it to make a fist, my fingers are stiff - - I cannot believe this is happening to me. . I've always taken care of myself. What would you recommend please? I'm desperate to get it working again. . I know there has to be a way. Thank you for any recommendations you can provide. . . . and which of your programs is best for me at this time.

So sad to hear it, did you break your left hand and wrist due to gym workout or what reason specially?

I don't know what's the reason behind your hand and fingers being stiff, but a similar thing happened to me after my foot surgery. It took seven months and three specialists to discover that my calf muscle "blocked" (or spasmed) after the surgery, causing restricted blood flow to parts of my foot, mild numbness in half of the foot, extreme stiffness and toe curling. A very simple treatment of dry needling and some physio exercises were all it needed to release the cramp.
Maybe you could try to see a good manual therapy physiotherapist?

@@nitby27 Thank you. I was trimming weeds that had grown into trees . . . and tripped over one of the small stumps that was sticking up on a hill. I hit the ground so fast and my wrist snapped. It has been a complete nightmare for me. The Dr. (in surgery) tried to force bend my fingers and broke those additionally.

But I'm almost done with that now and need to explore other options. Thank you for this insight. . . I'm so glad it worked for you. I know my blood flow is not right in my left hand since the event. . . . I will definitely pursue this. Most people, including other Drs. would not even talk to me. They would take one look at it and say, Sorry, can't help you. So I know I have to seek other options on my own.

Bodybuilding doesn't "compromise athleticism". Look at jujimufu and eric bugenhagen, huge jacked meatheads that do splits, backflips and box jump like 2 meters. You can propably fight because of grandmaster jiang yu shan, but you are small and propably pretty weak.

lol i know right :D he has very low body fat so it looks like he has muscle but average person with an average body fat would not look anywhere close to that.

Exceptions don’t make the rule and correlation does not imply causation. People always refer to gifted individuals with extensive athletic backgrounds. Rather look at most bodybuilders and power lifters and see how athletic they are... many of them have reverse athletic ability.

Search “Eero Westerberg Training Montage”. Due to taking MMA and health more seriously my body composition has evolved. I do not consider the bulky appearance ideal anymore (each to their own) , rather it displays many weaknesses in terms of functionality and athleticism. My strength has only massively improved since. I’m also learning fighting from UFC veteran Nordine Taleb and other coaches
