Question here; I have the same exact Kw idle mngt system. When I switch to Heat; it comes with a msg ; Check filter- please guide me through which filter I need to lookup; does it mean to replace?

When I turn the kims unit on the air doesn't blow cold. It's like running the normal thermostat with the truck only turned on and not idling. Any idea how I could fix that?
I'm assuming the inverter does not have to be on correct? I'm literally in my truck doing this. It's working just wondering if I need the inverter on.
Hi Andy. Approximately how many hours of service are expected from the batteries and what is the cost of replacement batteries. Is replacement a DIY project or a dealership job. ? Thanks.

My t680 kims unit will run down the battery in ac mode very quickly. So i don't get to use it all night

Is there a firmware update for the control panel to allow lower minimum temp setting for heater operation? 70 degrees Fahrenheit is too hot to sleep comfortably.

@@AndyTheKenworthGuy Only drawback to this system is when motor starts to charge the batts,, it kicks in the motor fan to wakeup everyone in the neighborhood with the noise at 0300AM !!! HAHA Have a good day/night/whatever !!!! Can't beat a good ""APU"" system !!!
Sounds kinda similar to what Frieghtliner has with it's Optimized Idle system.

@@AndyTheKenworthGuy the video that you show us how to build a truck using all the expensive parts you can think of for a total cost, just so I can I get a better idea and prepare for the future. Preferably a w900l with an 86 inch studio sleeper, slit windshield, sun roof, you know that sort of thing, I asked you a while ago and you said you didn’t mind, I’m not trying to rush you or anything, I mean you can take all the time you need, I was just curious on your progress? 😅 that’s all

Save yourself tons of grief and tons of money. Buy a freightliner. Buy a Mack. Buy an old truck and rebuild it. Dont buy a new kw or pb. You have been warned.
