Wow 👌 😮I watchd all 3 episodes. Haley us a brilliant writer. Tru stories r the best. Didn't realize that writer was actually part of that actual family. Halle is one of my faves. She was perfect for that role because she could relate to much. Poignant story and everyone's portrayals wer so convincing. ❤

I can relate to this story so much. I was blessed to receive my great grandmothers Bible who was born in 1878. My family is from Alabama and I remember leaving home going to NYC and my grandmother told me to go make a life for myself. I did just that, and during my darkest and hardest trials I would hold my great grandmothers Bible and ask for her strength. I’m so thankful for my ancestors and their strength, courage and resilience. ❤

I am not surprised the amount of black women in the unmentally well institute. They experienced alot of trauma. It's heartbreaking. Most needed therapy. Notice how Queen poured her heart out to her husband after building up so much trauma. No one made her a home. She had no where to run to. I wonder what happened to her father's wife who got pregnant again. What happened to her child? I put my hat down to and remember all black women and men that were killed, brutally hurt, raped and traumatised during that time.

It still makes my blood boil when I see any movie or picture of a lynching . Her child's father we willing to die for what he believed in . And it was the fear of whites feeling he was gaining too much power that got him killed it's just sad. That's why so many of us right now from to just get along even when we are mistreated just to keep the peace. From that embedded fear from way back when . Just sad

Some worked for generations, with no retirement benefits. Dont do it people. At keast work where a company pays at least mini.the wage and benefits. Otherwise you will be working under slave-like conditions.

When psychology and psychiatry were such undeveloped fields of medicine.
Those mental facility scenes are horrific.
Queen’s body and psyche kept score of all her years of trauma. And when she caught fire, that was enough for all the trauma to surface. The fact that she could articulate that she was not mad and that she could ask her employee for a loan so that Abner could find his way in the world, was enough evidence that she was of sound mind.

"Queen" was an underrated series because of the scandal about Roots and they wanted to cancel Hailey because Roots was not his personal story but it is still a masterpiece of literature and deserves to be taught just like any other classic. I would not like a remake of Queen though because also the actors have not yet gained enough recognition ( The white ones are great as well - I truly hated each and everyone of their characters 😃)

What a terrible day it will be when mankind stand before the Almighty God who is Righteous and Just in his Judgement. Many will be judged for how we have treated another human being...
Jesus said, The Greatest Commandment Is LOVE!
    Love Will Never End.
We Are To Love Our Neighbor As Ourselves and do unto others as we would have them do unto us.
God knows All and See's All.
Even Christ Jesus gave himself for us and shed his blood for the Remission and Forgiveness of SIN!
LOVE IS THE LAW OF GOD!
