I am SO HAPPY to have found this channel! Y’all are my FAMILY! My great grandmother was Bertha Johnson who moved from Saba to New York. She married my great grandfather Mr. Winfield, and had children, one of them my grandmother Liehla Winfield who married my grandfather Richard Cooper. My father Is Robert Cooper. My father visited Saba as a young man, and held ownership on partial land of the Island which was then passed down to me and my brother after his death in 2016. I’ve never been to Saba, but I’d LOVE to go learn more about my family History and see the beautiful Island we come from. I’ve read many, many Articles by Mr. Will Johnson and he is Brilliant! Much Love to y’all.. my family and thank you for sharing our families history of Saba. Much Love from North Carolina! ❤️

This is a fascinating account of the history of Saba, and very well done. My mother's family is from Saba. In fact, Will is my 2d Cousin 2 Times Removed. It was cool hearing the Saban accent as it brought back memories of my grandmother's voice and others that I grew up around and that came from Saba.

Will Johnson Is also my family as well! My great grandmother was Bertha Johnson, and she moved from Saba to New York and married my great grandfather Mr. Winfield. Their daughter was my grandmother Leigh Winfield who married my grandfather Richard Cooper and my das was Robert Cooper. After my father passed in 2016, the partial land he owned in Saba that’s been passed down through generations now is my brother & I’d land. However, I’ve never been to the Island. My father went as a young man and I’m dying to go. My great, great, great great grandfather was Captain Henry Johnson. It’s an amazing History we share! God Bless from North Carolina! ❤
